The Nasdaq Composite rose nearly 0.2%. In addition to complacency in the market, the combination of profit-margin pressures, inflation fears, Fed tapering and possible higher taxes could contribute to an eventual drawdown, market strategists say.\nRecovery-centered stocks likeCaterpillar,ChevronandJPMorgan Chasepulled back Tuesday while Big Tech stocks likeAmazon,AppleandAlphabetgained. Energy stocks took a hit after West Texas Intermediate crude futures hit their highest level in more than six years before turning negative.\nThe 10-year Treasury yield fell 7.2 basis points to 1.36% as investors react to the potential of slower economic growth. That was its lowest level since February. The yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was 6.4 basis points lower at 1.98%.\nInvestors will be listening more clues on the direction of the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy when it releases its latest meeting minutes Wednesday afternoon, which could be a catalyst for a move in both bonds and stocks.\nThe Fed’s minutes are expected to be dovish with the central bank looking for progress in the labor market and not worried that recent inflation will become a persistent trend. Slowing down the bond buying would be the Fed’s first major retreat from the easy policies it put in place when the economy shut down last year.\nThe end of the Fed’s $120 billion a month in Treasury and mortgage purchases would also signal that the central bank’s next move could be to raise interest rates.\nWeekly mortgage applications and the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey are also scheduled to be released Wednesday.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":248,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":162556841,"gmtCreate":1624068969983,"gmtModify":1703828097545,"author":{"id":"3586211191046715","authorId":"3586211191046715","name":"jonaz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/0ad2de06f9b89c1fec25394e6cf4a3d0","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3586211191046715","authorIdStr":"3586211191046715"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Morning","listText":"Morning","text":"Morning","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/162556841","repostId":"1156696708","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1156696708","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1624063306,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1156696708?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-19 08:41","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Dow falls more than 500 points to close out its worst week since October","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1156696708","media":"cnbc","summary":"Stocks fell on Friday, with theDow Jones Industrial Averageposting its worst weekly loss since Octob","content":"
\n
Stocks fell on Friday, with theDow Jones Industrial Averageposting its worst weekly loss since October, as traders worried the Federal Reserve could start raising rates sooner than expected.\nThe blue-...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n","source":"cnbc_highlight","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; TheS&P 500slid 1.3% to 4,166.45. Both the Dow and S&P 500 hit their session lows in the final minutes of trading and closed around those levels. TheNasdaq Compositeclosed 0.9% lower at 14,030.38. Economic comeback plays led the market losses.\nFor the week, the 30-stock Dow lost 3.5%. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq were down by 1.9% and 0.2%, respectively, week to date.\nSt. Louis Federal Reserve President Jim Bullardtold CNBC's \"Squawk Box\"on Friday it was natural for the Fed to tilt a little \"hawkish\" this week and that the first rate increase from the central bank would likely come in 2022. His comments came after the Fed on Wednesday added two rate hikes to its 2023 forecast and increased its inflation projection for the year, putting pressure on stock prices.\n\"The fear held by some investors is that if the Fed tightens policy sooner than expected to help cool inflationary pressures, this could weigh on future economic growth,\" Truist Advisory Services chief market strategist Keith Lerner said in a note. To be sure, he added it would be premature to give up on the so-called value trade right now.\nPockets of the market most sensitive to the economic rebound led the sell-off this week. The S&P 500 energy sector and industrials dropped 5.2% and 3.8%, respectively, for the week. Financials and materials meanwhile, lost more than 6% each. These groups had been market leaders this year on the back of the economic reopening.\nThe decline in stocks came as the Fed's actions caused a drastic flattening of the so-called Treasury yield curve. This means the yields of shorter-duration Treasurys — like the 2-year note — rose while longer-duration yields like the benchmark 10-year declined. The retreat in long-dated bond yields reflects less optimism toward economic growth, while the jump in short-end yields shows the expectations of the Fed raising rates.\nThis phenomenon hurt bank stocks particularly as their earnings could take a hit when the spread between short-term and long-term rates narrows. Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase shares on Friday lost more than 2% each. Citigroup fell by 1.8%, posting its 12th straight daily decline.\nFed Chairman Jerome Powell said Wednesday that officials have discussed tapering bond buying and would at some point begin slowing the asset purchases.\n\"This week's first whiff of an eventual change in Fed policy was a reminder that emergency monetary conditions and the free-money era will ultimately end,\" strategists at MRB Partners wrote in a note. \"We expect a series of incremental retreats from the Fed's benign inflation outlook in the coming months.\"\nCommodity prices were underpressure this weekas China attempted to cool rising prices and as the U.S. dollar strengthens. Copper, gold and platinum fell once again on Friday.\nFriday also coincided with the quarterly \"quadruple witching\" in which options and futures on indexes and equities expire. This event may have contributed to more volatile trading during the session.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":338,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":140082062,"gmtCreate":1625619688856,"gmtModify":1703744987259,"author":{"id":"3586211191046715","authorId":"3586211191046715","name":"jonaz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/0ad2de06f9b89c1fec25394e6cf4a3d0","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3586211191046715","authorIdStr":"3586211191046715"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like","listText":"Like","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":8,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/140082062","repostId":"1122166072","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1122166072","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1625613844,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1122166072?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-07 07:24","market":"fut","language":"en","title":"U.S. stock futures are slightly lower after S&P 500 snaps 7-day winning streak","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1122166072","media":"CNBC","summary":"U.S. stock futures opened slightly lower Tuesday night after the S&P 500 ended a seven-day winning streak, its longest since August.Dow Jones Industrial Average futures fell by 54 points, or 0.16%. Slowing down the bond buying would be the Fed’s first major retreat from the easy policies it put in place when the economy shut down last year.\nThe end of the Fed’s $120 billion a month in Treasury and mortgage purchases would also signal that the central bank’s next move could be to raise interest rates.\nWeekly mortgage applications and the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey are also scheduled to be released Wednesday.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":248,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":149025316,"gmtCreate":1625696734735,"gmtModify":1703746438733,"author":{"id":"3586211191046715","authorId":"3586211191046715","name":"jonaz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/0ad2de06f9b89c1fec25394e6cf4a3d0","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3586211191046715","authorIdStr":"3586211191046715"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Waiting","listText":"Waiting","text":"Waiting","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/149025316","repostId":"1124277162","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1124277162","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1625670345,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1124277162?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-07 23:05","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P 500 slip from highs into the red ahead of FOMC minutes","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1124277162","media":"seekingalpha","summary":"U.S. equities ease off of record highs and turn red in mid-morning trading as bond prices push lower","content":"
\n
U.S. equities ease off of record highs and turn red in mid-morning trading as bond prices push lower on concern that the inflation trade may stumble in the hours before the notes from the last Fed meeting are released.
\n
The S&P 500 edgesdown 0.1%, the Nasdaqfalls 0.3%, and the Dowslips 0.2%, weighed down by Goldman Sachs (-1.7%) and United Health (-0.5%).
\n
The 10-year Treasury yield slips 1.30% for the first time since February.
\n
\"The bond marketisn't waitingfor the Fed, yields are plunging again today,\" Matt Miskin, co-chief investment strategist at John Hancock Investment Management, told Bloomberg.
\n
Crude oil drops 2.3% to $71.66 per barrel; as a result the energy sector dips (XLE-2.4%). TheS&P 500slid 1.3% to 4,166.45. This event may have contributed to more volatile trading during the session.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":338,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":140084683,"gmtCreate":1625619806242,"gmtModify":1703744991358,"author":{"id":"3586211191046715","authorId":"3586211191046715","name":"jonaz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/0ad2de06f9b89c1fec25394e6cf4a3d0","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3586211191046715","authorIdStr":"3586211191046715"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/140084683","repostId":"1117990582","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1117990582","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1625582488,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1117990582?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-06 22:41","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Apple shares typically beat the market from July to September and will again, JPMorgan says","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1117990582","media":"CNBC","summary":"Apple’s stock underperformed the broader market in the first half, but history says it’s time to buy","content":"
\n
Apple’s stock underperformed the broader market in the first half, but history says it’s time to buy more shares of the technology giant, according to a new JPMorgan report.\nShares of Apple ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n","source":"cnbc_highlight","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html;
