The firm also points out that there were an estimated 23.7 million paying users for cloud gaming in 2021.

A few calculations indicate that Nvidia is the biggest player in this nascent, but promising market. The company pointed out at its investor day event last month that its GeForce Now cloud gaming service had 15 million users. So Nvidia controls around 60% of the cloud gaming market, going by Newzoo's estimate of the total number of subscribers that this space had in 2021.

It also seems that Nvidia controls a big chunk of cloud gaming revenue. The company generated $11.4 billion through sales of gaming graphics cards in fiscal 2022 (ended on Jan. 30). For comparison, Nvidia's overall gaming revenue in fiscal 2021 came in at $12.46 billion, indicating that cloud gaming produced just over $1 billion in revenue for the company. That may look like a small number right now, but it won't be surprising to see the GeForce Now business boom big time in the long run. That's because the cloud gaming market could hit $14 billion in revenue by 2027, clocking a compound annual growth rate of 64% for the next five years.

If Nvidia manages to hold on to its share of this potentially lucrative market, GeForce Now could become an $8 billion-plus business for Nvidia in five years. That's a big number considering the overall revenue generated by Nvidia's gaming business in fiscal 2022. What's more, the size of the cloud gaming market could hit $22 billion by 2030 as per a third-party estimate, indicating that this space could turn out to be a long-term money spinner for Nvidia given its already-dominant position.

Nvidia is pulling the right strings to capitalize on this opportunity

There are a few simple reasons why Nvidia is dominating the cloud gaming market right now.

First, the company has brought high-end gaming to players at an enticing price through its GeForce Now RTX 3080 plan.

With the plan priced at $19.99 per month or $99.99 for six months, gamers are paying a fraction of what they would be spending on building a premium gaming PC powered by the RTX 3080 graphics card that starts at a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $699, though that may not be the case in the real world where graphics card prices are much higher on account of tight supplies.

Second, GeForce Now boasts of a library of more than 1,200 games that is available in 80 countries. This, along with the attractive pricing, puts the company in a solid position to tap into a vast addressable market that consists of a billion underpowered PCs and Chromebooks, an identical number of iOS and Mac devices, and 4 billion Android users.

And finally, Nvidia has partnered with key companies to push its cloud gaming business. Samsung and LG, for instance, are offering GeForce Now on their televisions, while AT&T has also struck a partnership with Nvidia to offer the service to its subscribers.

Such moves could ensure the healthy growth of Nvidia's cloud gaming business in the long run and help the company remain a top video gaming stock for a long time to come.

","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
This Emerging Opportunity Could Send Nvidia Stock Soaring
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nThis Emerging Opportunity Could Send Nvidia Stock Soaring\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-04-25 17:27 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
KEY POINTSNvidia has cornered a major share of the cloud gaming market's revenue. The cloud gaming market's high pace of growth in the coming years could supercharge Nvidia's gaming business.Nvidia has...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"NVDA":"英伟达"},"source_url":"https://www.fool.com/investing/2022/04/24/emerging-opportunity-send-nvidia-stock-soaring/","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1146620721","content_text":"KEY POINTSNvidia has cornered a major share of the cloud gaming market's revenue. The cloud gaming market's high pace of growth in the coming years could supercharge Nvidia's gaming business.Nvidia has made smart moves to ensure that it remains a top cloud gaming play.Nvidia stock may be down in the dumps in 2022 as Wall Street seems to be worried about the health of the company's video gaming business, but a closer look indicates that the problems are likely to be short-term in nature.Nvidia's video gaming business could take off big time in the long run as more gamers upgrade to its new graphics cards that are used in personal computers (PCs). Economists are forecasting the U.S. economy added 258,000 jobs last month, consensus expectations show, with the unemployment rate holding steady at 3.6%.

That pace would mark a notable slowdown from the previous three-month average of roughly 375,000 jobs added per month. It would still show fairly healthy, positive growth roughly on par with prepandemic levels—the economy was adding roughly 264,000 jobs monthly in the three months ending January 2020—but it would cement a broader trend toward softening throughout the labor market that has become clearer in recent weeks.

While the labor market has for months been among the strongest elements—if not the strongest—of a fragile economy, recent government data suggests it could be past its peak. And it's still growing.

These companies are big, but they're very capable of growing much bigger.

"Buy and hold" is great investing advice but with a few caveats. For starters, aim to buy and hold, for decades, but keep up with your holdings, lest one or more of them deteriorate without your noticing. And also, don't just buy and hold anything; seek out high-quality, healthy and growing companies.

Here are three to consider, all of which hold a berth on the Dow Jones Industrial Average index, which only features 30 companies.

1. Apple

It's probably easy to see why buying and holding shares of Apple (AAPL 2.45%) would be a good idea. Once nearly left for dead, with a small share of the personal computer market, Apple has grown into an electronic juggernaut. Its market value was recently $2.1 trillion -- and that was after the stock had fallen some 29% from its 52-week high.

Apple's business model is compelling. It has built a very sticky electronic ecosystem, so that someone with an iPhone who wants a smart watch will likely be pulled toward the Apple Watch as it will sync with other Apple offerings. The ecosystem features not only smartphones, smart watches, desktop computers, laptops, and tablets, but also a music streaming service, an app store, a TV streaming service, digital payment systems, and much more. Apple has inked a streaming deal for Major League Baseball, and if it signs up other sports, it could start dominating in that area, as well.

Another advantage for Apple is its very solid brand, recently valued at $947 billion and top-ranked in the 2022 Kantar BrandZ Most Valuable Global Brands list. That strong brand means that if Apple debuts a new kind of product or service, it will likely be checked out by many people and assumed to be of good quality. With a massive multibillion-dollar cash hoard, Apple has the wherewithal to develop and introduce many new offerings.

Apple's future seems quite promising, and it pays a dividend, too, recently yielding 0.7%. In its second quarter, revenue grew 9% year over year to a record $97 billion, demonstrating that this giant can grow even bigger.

2. Nike

Nike is also a dominant force in its field, specializing in athletic footwear and apparel. In the 2020 brand-value ranking noted above, Nike held the top ranking for apparel businesses, with a brand value estimated at $110 billion, up a hefty 31% from the year before. Note, too, that Nike not only has its own flagship brand name, but it's now also home to the Converse and Jordan names.

Nike's strong brand power confers some pricing power: When a company has a strong brand, it's more able to raise prices, because many consumers favor its offerings over others. Raising prices, meanwhile, can help a company fight inflation. In its third quarter, Nike reported revenue growth of 5% year over year, to nearly $11 billion. On a currency-neutral basis, that growth would be 8%. The company is having particular success with its direct sales, which rose 15% (17% on a currency-neutral basis), while digital sales surged 19% (22% on a currency-neutral basis).

Clearly, this company with a recent market value near $170 billion is likely to keep growing. Its shares were recently down 40% from their 52-week high, with a forward-looking price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio recently near 24 -- well below the five-year average of 33. That decline pushed its dividend yield up to a recent 1.1%. Nike is a Dow stock well worth considering for any long-term portfolio.

3. UnitedHealth Group

UnitedHealth Group is another Dow component worth considering for your long-term portfolio, with its shares recently down 18% from their 52-week high. It's not quite in screaming-bargain territory, though, as its forward-looking P/E ratio was recently 21, above the five-year average of 19.

UnitedHealth is a massive company, with a recent market value of $424 billion, some 350,000 employees, and close to $300 billion in annual revenue. (Fully 85,000 members of its workforce is made up of doctors and nurses.) It serves around 100 million people and counting. Its first quarter featured revenue up 14% year over year, to $80 billion.

UnitedHealth also pays a dividend. Recently yielding 1.5%, it may not look tempting, but the payout has been increased by nearly 800% over the past decade. Healthy and growing dividend payers tend to increase their payouts over time.

These are just three of many attractive companies in the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Most, if not all, of the 30 companies should be of interest, as the index only includes companies that have performed very well to become large and dominant businesses in their field.

","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
3 Best Dow Stocks to Buy and Hold Forever
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n3 Best Dow Stocks to Buy and Hold Forever\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-06-26 17:59 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
KEY POINTSOne company's stock has fallen 29%, taking the market cap down to...$2.1 trillion.A second company has the most valuable brand in the world.Another company employs more than a third of a ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"UNH":"联合健康","NKE":"耐克","AAPL":"苹果"},"source_url":"https://www.fool.com/investing/2022/06/26/3-dividend-aristocrats-turn-300000-into-1-million/","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1115502256","content_text":"KEY POINTSOne company's stock has fallen 29%, taking the market cap down to...$2.1 trillion.A second company has the most valuable brand in the world.Another company employs more than a third of a million people. At the same time, there is another emerging trend in the video gaming space that could supercharge Nvidia's growth -- cloud gaming, which allows gamers to stream games to their PC, Mac, or smartphones from a remote data center for a fee.

Let's look at the reasons why this could be the next big growth avenue for Nvidia.

There's a huge opportunity in cloud gaming

The cloud gaming market is estimated to have generated $1.6 billion in revenue last year, according to market research firm Newzoo.

Based on Newzoo's estimate of the cloud gaming market's 2021 revenue, calculations indicate that Nvidia has cornered just over 60% revenue share of this budding market.

Now, $1 billion in cloud gaming revenue means that this segment accounted for around 3.7% of Nvidia's top line of $26.9 billion in fiscal 2022.

At the same time, there is another emerging trend in the video gaming space that could supercharge Nvidia's growth -- cloud gaming, which allows gamers to stream games to their PC, Mac, or smartphones from a remote data center for a fee.Let's look at the reasons why this could be the next big growth avenue for Nvidia.IMAGE SOURCE: GETTY IMAGES.There's a huge opportunity in cloud gamingThe cloud gaming market is estimated to have generated $1.6 billion in revenue last year, according to market research firm Newzoo. The firm also points out that there were an estimated 23.7 million paying users for cloud gaming in 2021.A few calculations indicate that Nvidia is the biggest player in this nascent, but promising market. The company pointed out at its investor day event last month that its GeForce Now cloud gaming service had 15 million users. So Nvidia controls around 60% of the cloud gaming market, going by Newzoo's estimate of the total number of subscribers that this space had in 2021.It also seems that Nvidia controls a big chunk of cloud gaming revenue. What's more, the size of the cloud gaming market could hit $22 billion by 2030 as per a third-party estimate, indicating that this space could turn out to be a long-term money spinner for Nvidia given its already-dominant position.Nvidia is pulling the right strings to capitalize on this opportunityThere are a few simple reasons why Nvidia is dominating the cloud gaming market right now.First, the company has brought high-end gaming to players at an enticing price through its GeForce Now RTX 3080 plan. With the plan priced at $19.99 per month or $99.99 for six months, gamers are paying a fraction of what they would be spending on building a premium gaming PC powered by the RTX 3080 graphics card that starts at a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $699, though that may not be the case in the real world where graphics card prices are much higher on account of tight supplies.Second, GeForce Now boasts of a library of more than 1,200 games that is available in 80 countries. Samsung and LG, for instance, are offering GeForce Now on their televisions, while AT&T has also struck a partnership with Nvidia to offer the service to its subscribers.Such moves could ensure the healthy growth of Nvidia's cloud gaming business in the long run and help the company remain a top video gaming stock for a long time to come.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":268,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":187109737308288,"gmtCreate":1686720370736,"gmtModify":1686720375074,"author":{"id":"4091458554275330","authorId":"4091458554275330","name":"Williamsj","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8e5a0a0a096e5d88e0e2a1dbc02b9d3f","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4091458554275330","authorIdStr":"4091458554275330"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"I love this game, it's interesting.","listText":"I love this game, it's interesting.","text":"I love this game, it's interesting.","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/187109737308288","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":298,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9946211181,"gmtCreate":1680969965244,"gmtModify":1680969968191,"author":{"id":"4091458554275330","authorId":"4091458554275330","name":"Williamsj","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8e5a0a0a096e5d88e0e2a1dbc02b9d3f","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4091458554275330","authorIdStr":"4091458554275330"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"thanks, nice event. latest monetary policy meeting showed policymakers unanimously felt the U.S. economy was very strong as they grappled with reining in inflation without triggering a recession.

The minutes from the Federal Open Market Committee's May meeting, which culminated in a 50-basis-point hike in the Fed funds target rate - the biggest jump in 22 years - showed most of the committee's members judged that further such rate hikes would "likely be appropriate" at its upcoming June and July meetings.

"The uniformity of opinion is a good thing," said Ross Mayfield, investment strategy analyst at
