Tesla's sales grew 81% year over year in the latest quarter.

Enphase Energy is expected to grow its earnings at an average rate of 39% over the next few years.

A chipmaker, an electric vehicle leader, and a solar component specialist are reshaping the future.

If you're looking to start investing in stocks, a simple strategy is to go for companies that show consistent growth in revenue and profits. Often, such stocks trade at apremium valuation. However, they still offer the potential to generate handsome returns in the long run.

Let's look at three such companies --Nvidia, Tesla, and Enphase Energy-- that are not only growing fast but are expected to continue doing so in the coming years.

Strong revenue growth

Nvidia's quarterly revenue grew at an average quarterly year-over-year rate of 35% over the last five years. In fiscal 2022's fourth quarter (ended Jan. 30), the company's revenue grew 53% year over year. A global semiconductor shortage, coupled with increased demand from areas such as artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, robotics, virtual reality, and themetaverse, is contributing to Nvidia's exceptional growth.

Similarly, Tesla's recent growth has been phenomenal. The electric vehicle leader grew its quarterly sales at an average year-over-year rate of 54% in the last five years. In the first quarter, the company's sales grew 81% year over year.

Likewise, solar microinverter manufacturer Enphase Energy's revenue grew at an average rate of 46% over five years. Further, in thelatest quarter, the revenue growth was close to this average rate.

Solid expected growth

While it is important to monitor historical growth, it is more important to see if a company can sustain the growth level in the future. The three companies seem to be well placed to do so.

Analysts expect Nvidia's quarterly revenue to rise to $9.3 billion for the company's fiscal quarter ending Jan. 30, 2023, from $7.6 billion in the last quarter.

Likewise, Tesla's quarterly revenue is expected to rise to $28.2 billion, while Enphase Energy's revenue is expected to reach $597.6 million in Q1 2023.

Analysts also expect the three companies to grow their earnings impressively. Nvidia is expected to grow its per-share earnings at an average rate of around 25% over the next three to five years. Similarly, Enphase Energy is expected to grow earnings at an average rate of 39%, while Tesla's average growth rate is estimated to be 43%.

Demand for electric vehicles exceeds supply right now. Although legacy car companies are expanding their offerings in the electric segment, Tesla seems to havean edge over the competitionin terms of demand for its cars, ability to expand its production capacity and securing the necessary input parts and materials.

Similarly, Nvidia'sleadership positionin the graphic processing unit market and its partnerships with leading computer makers and cloud service providers give the company a competitive advantage. Likewise, Enphase's microinverters see huge demand, thanks to the benefits they offer over other inverter options.

Overall, the three stocks look well placed to maintain their strong growth in the coming years as well.

","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
3 of the Top Growth Stocks on Earth
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n3 of the Top Growth Stocks on Earth\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-05-10 20:14 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
KEY POINTSNvidia grew its sales by 53%, while Tesla's sales grew 81% year over year in the latest quarter.Enphase Energy is expected to grow its earnings at an average rate of 39% over the next few ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"ENPH":"Enphase Energy","TSLA":"特斯拉","NVDA":"英伟达"},"source_url":"https://www.fool.com/investing/2022/05/10/3-of-the-top-growing-stocks-on-earth/","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1118756223","content_text":"KEY POINTSNvidia grew its sales by 53%, while Tesla's sales grew 81% year over year in the latest quarter.Enphase Energy is expected to grow its earnings at an average rate of 39% over the next few years.A chipmaker, an electric vehicle leader, and a solar component specialist are reshaping the future. If you're looking to start investing in stocks, a simple strategy is to go for companies that show consistent growth in revenue and profits. Still, it was the upbeat outlook that allowed it to shine as its FAANG peers sagged lower.Undoubtedly, Microsoft has been a standout winner this earnings season, topping each of the FAANG stocks. Though Apple (AAPL) clocked in a record result, its guidance left investors jittery, leaving Microsoft as one of the last pillars of stability holding up the big tech trade amid this vicious market sell-off.The Quarter That Saw FAANG Stocks FumbleThe FAANG names are the bluest of blue-chip technology stocks, but they suffered some severe turbulence in recent weeks. Some may think the group deserves to be broken up. Others may believe that the weakness in the group could cause the rest of the market to roll over further. While it wasn’t the best quarter for FAANG, I view Microsoft as the firm that may have single-handedly saved the market from a more vicious decline, perhaps one that would’ve seen the S&P 500 fall into a bear market.Microsoft’s incredible results give me confidence, not just in the firm moving into a rockier environment, but in all of big tech and even FAANG. Thanks to execution by its brilliant CEO Satya Nadella, Microsoft looks ready to enter rally mode as Wall Street analysts look to upgrade. While broader market headwinds may delay such a post-earnings rally, I view MSFT stock as a standout play that’s well worth its premium price tag. I remain incredibly bullish on Microsoft stock.Microsoft Stock: Applaud-Worthy Quarter, Great GuidanceIn this type of market environment, where there’s fear in the hearts of investors, it’s going to take a lot more than an earnings beat to prevent a decline. Microsoft not only clocked in a stellar result that saw Azure flex its muscles, but it also delivered some decent guidance. It was a classic beat and raise at a time when rare misses and downbeat guides have become the norm. With geopolitical uncertainties, high inflation, ongoing supply chain woes, and a potential recession on the horizon, it’s arguable that downbeat guidance would be most conservative. In that regard, Microsoft’s constructive guide is a decisive vote of confidence that the firm can continue moving forward, even as the gusts it faces increase in magnitude.Third-quarter revenues surged 18% year over year. There was notable double-digit growth across numerous segments, but it was Azure’s 46% year-over-year growth that was worthy of applause. Indeed, Microsoft Azure is not slowing down anytime soon, with long-term contracts and sizeable deals powering the solid numbers.Azure Powers Microsoft to Incredible ResultsUndoubtedly, Azure has evolved to become a significant growth driver at Microsoft. While some may doubt the company’s growth prospects, the long-time tech darling continues to find new growth levers to pull to resist the growth-eroding effect of corporate aging. Thanks to its CEO Satya Nadella, Microsoft continues to reinvent itself. The fast-growing cloud space still has many years of high double-digit growth left in the tank. If anything, Azure could take share en route to becoming number one in the public cloud, given the many dedicated customers who desire to stay within the Microsoft ecosystem.Moving ahead, I’d look for Azure to continue powering Microsoft’s high-teens revenue growth as it looks to enjoy the full force of secular tailwinds in the digital transformation trend. It’s not just Azure that investors should get excited about, though. Microsoft’s Xbox gaming division looks to be in a spot to change the video-gaming world as we know it.Xbox: The Next Frontier of Growth? In prior pieces, I noted that Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming were two offerings that would change the video-gaming market as we know it. If the Activision Blizzard (ATVI) deal goes through (Warren Buffett seems to think it will, given his merger arbitrage bet), Microsoft will not only have one of the deepest lineups of video-game brands, but it will be able to offer it to gamers at a deal that will make it hard for rivals to match.Activision’s Call of Duty and Blizzard’s Diablo are two epic titles that could draw massive crowds towards Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass service. Undoubtedly, Microsoft’s massive scale and deep pockets allow it to offer consumers extraordinary value with its monthly subscription.Though video games are a wildly-competitive field, Microsoft already has the foundation and library to build a moat around its share of economic profits in the gaming world. Once the metaverse goes live, it will be nearly impossible, even for a big tech rival, to catch up to Microsoft.Though Microsoft will never have a monopoly in gaming, it has set itself in a position to become a top-two global behemoth in an industry ripe for further consolidation. For now, Microsoft’s gaming division is growing at a high-teens rate. When you factor in Xbox console shortages and the fact that Xbox Cloud Gaming is still just in beta, it seems more apparent that the division is poised for some much higher growth in the years ahead.Suppose Activision Blizzard is given the green light. In that case, gaming could be in for some Azure-like growth, as consumers stop buying games outright, opting instead to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass.Wall Street’s TakeTurning to Wall Street, MSFT stock comes in as a Strong Buy. Analyst price targets range from a low of $320.00 per share to a high of $411.00 per share. The Bottom Line on MicrosoftMicrosoft’s Azure really pulled through in the latest quarter, allowing it to beat and raise at a time when its FAANG peers fumbled on guidance, earnings, or both. With an ambitious gaming foundation, look for the Xbox division to take its growth to the next level. While it may not enjoy Azure-like growth anytime soon, I think that a notable growth acceleration is achievable from the segment as it solidifies its position as the Netflix (NFLX) of games.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":149,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9061794429,"gmtCreate":1651674581070,"gmtModify":1676534946880,"author":{"id":"4096625550896330","authorId":"4096625550896330","name":"Rxphael","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/34ffc6415aeba2b931ca77a6f9126b69","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4096625550896330","idStr":"4096625550896330"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Stay patient and pounce","listText":"Stay patient and pounce","text":"Stay patient and pounce","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9061794429","repostId":"2232715769","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2232715769","pubTimestamp":1651557700,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2232715769?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-05-03 14:01","market":"us","language":"en","title":"3 Beaten-Down Growth Stocks to Buy and Hold","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2232715769","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"These falling knives probably aren't as dangerous as their stock charts suggest.","content":"

Stocks rise more often than they fall, but when they fall, they fall fast. What’s Ahead for 2022.","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1190720053","media":"Barrons","summary":"While the tech megacaps continue to grow in importance in the major stock averages, the market-cap g","content":"

While the tech megacaps continue to grow in importance in the major stock averages, the market-cap giants have actually had wildly divergent performance in 2021—and their prospects vary considerably for 2022.

Let’s take a closer look, in size order, at the eight tech stocks with valuations of more than $500 billion.

Apple (ticker: AAPL) remains the world’s most highly valued company, with a market capitalization just a smidgen shy of $3 trillion. With a year-to-date gain of about 36%, Apple has outperformed both the 27% return on the S&P 500 and the 23% rally on the Nasdaq Composite.

Most of Apple’s performance was concentrated in the fourth quarter—the stock is up 27% since the end of October, a period in which the S&P 500 rallied a more modest 11%. Several factors appear to be contributing to its strength: Apple continues to report robust growth for the iPhone, Macs, iPads, wearables, and services, all while aggressively repurchasing its own stock. And 2022 is shaping up to be a big year for new products, with growing buzz in particular about the potential launch of a headset for augmented- and virtual-reality applications.

This year’s rally follows gains of 82% last year and 89% in 2019, which means the stock has rallied 365% over the past three years. Barring a sharp slowdown in iPhone sales, the string should continue in 2022.

Microsoft (MSFT) had a fantastic year, with the stock up 54% year to date, driving its market cap to $2.56 trillion. The world’s largest software company is producing astonishing growth at scale, with the top line up 22% in the latest quarter. Underlying Microsoft’s strong growth is continued demand for cloud computing—the company’s Azure business expanded 50% in the September quarter.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is seeing strength in demand for Office, Windows, Xbox, and other parts of its business. With enterprise spending likely to accelerate in 2022, there seems no reason to think that Microsoft’s impressive growth will slow down next year.

Alphabet shares (GOOGL) have soared 68% so far in 2021, leaving its market cap just shy of $2 trillion. There’s simply no slowdown in demand for online advertising—and the company’s Google unit has largely dodged the pain inflicted on some ad-supported businesses by Apple’s shift to new rules that make it harder to follow customer behavior on iPhones. Search activity isn’t as dependent as display ads for determining consumer intent—and it seems likely that some ad spending is shifting from social media to search-based advertising. Growth is robust, too, in the company’s YouTube business.

Barring any new regulatory challenges, it seems likely that Alphabet will continue to produce strong growth in 2022—Street consensus estimates call for 17% growth.

Amazon.com (AMZN) is the clear laggard among the megacaps, with a year-to-date gain of just 5%, leaving the stock with a valuation of $1.74 billion. It’s behaving like an out-of-favor stay-at-home stock—growth in the company’s core e-commerce business has slowed as some shoppers began venturing to physical stores for some purchases. Other elements of the business remain strong, though, including the Amazon Web Services cloud business, logistics and advertising. Investors also factored in the decision by founder Jeff Bezos to step down as CEO, replaced by former AWS chief Andy Jassy.

One other wild card: New Federal Trade Commission chair Lina Khan has a long track record as an Amazon critic. The FTC has yet to rule on the company’s pending acquisition of the movie studio MGM—nor have they responded on an Amazon request for Khan to recuse herself on all Amazon matters given her previous writings about the company. Despite all of that, after a year of lackluster performance, the stock might be the most appealing of the tech giants for 2022.

Tesla (TSLA) is back in the 13-digit market-cap club, with a 57% gain for the year, all of that in the year’s second half, including a 16% gain since Dec. 21. Founder and CEO Elon Musk seems to have completed a recent flurry of stock sales, and Street analysts have been ratcheting up both their target prices and their earnings estimates for the electric vehicle leader. Wedbush analyst Dan Ives, who has a $1,400 target on the stock—a potential gain of more than 30%—thinks the key could be demand in China.

Meta Platforms (FB) is up 22% this year, lifting its market cap to $967 billion, impressive performance after a year in which the company received a blizzard of bad publicity, in particular a scathing Wall Street Journal series called “The Facebook Files,” which levered leaked material to raise myriad questions about the ill effects of the company’s platforms. Meanwhile, Apple’s efforts to prevent consumer activity tracking on iPhones hurt the company’s ability to target advertising, while regulatory pressures on the company continue to mount.

The company also changed its name and launched a $10 billion investment program focused on the metaverse, a bold call that might not pay off for years, or maybe ever. All that said, Facebook shares look relatively modestly valued compared with other Big Tech names, which makes them an intriguing option.

Two chip plays have muscled into the megacap discussion.

Nvidia shares (NVDA) have had a fantastic run, up 132% for the year to date, boosting the company’s valuation to $750 billion. Once viewed mostly as a provider of graphics cards used by gamers, Nvidia is now a key component provider to cloud-computing companies—and a play on almost every key trend in the semiconductor world, including cryptocurrency mining, artificial intelligence and machine learning, electric and autonomous vehicles, and even the metaverse. Revenue in the latest quarter surged 50%. Barring a sharp slowdown in iPhone sales, the string should continue in 2022.Microsoft (MSFT) had a fantastic year, with the stock up 54% year to date, driving its market cap to $2.56 trillion. The world’s largest software company is producing astonishing growth at scale, with the top line up 22% in the latest quarter. Underlying Microsoft’s strong growth is continued demand for cloud computing—the company’s Azure business expanded 50% in the September quarter.Meanwhile, Microsoft is seeing strength in demand for Office, Windows, Xbox, and other parts of its business. With enterprise spending likely to accelerate in 2022, there seems no reason to think that Microsoft’s impressive growth will slow down next year.Alphabet shares (GOOGL) have soared 68% so far in 2021, leaving its market cap just shy of $2 trillion. Growth is robust, too, in the company’s YouTube business.Barring any new regulatory challenges, it seems likely that Alphabet will continue to produce strong growth in 2022—Street consensus estimates call for 17% growth.Amazon.com (AMZN) is the clear laggard among the megacaps, with a year-to-date gain of just 5%, leaving the stock with a valuation of $1.74 billion. Despite all of that, after a year of lackluster performance, the stock might be the most appealing of the tech giants for 2022.Tesla (TSLA) is back in the 13-digit market-cap club, with a 57% gain for the year, all of that in the year’s second half, including a 16% gain since Dec. 21. Founder and CEO Elon Musk seems to have completed a recent flurry of stock sales, and Street analysts have been ratcheting up both their target prices and their earnings estimates for the electric vehicle leader. Wedbush analyst Dan Ives, who has a $1,400 target on the stock—a potential gain of more than 30%—thinks the key could be demand in China.Meta Platforms (FB) is up 22% this year, lifting its market cap to $967 billion, impressive performance after a year in which the company received a blizzard of bad publicity, in particular a scathing Wall Street Journal series called “The Facebook Files,” which levered leaked material to raise myriad questions about the ill effects of the company’s platforms. Two chip plays have muscled into the megacap discussion.Nvidia shares (NVDA) have had a fantastic run, up 132% for the year to date, boosting the company’s valuation to $750 billion. One caveat on Nvidia shares is that the stock trades at 28 times current year estimated revenues—a valuation more often awarded cloud-software stocks than chip makers. And then there’s Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM), which has been a laggard, up just 12% for the year despite the huge global appetite for chips. The world’s largest contract chip maker, with a market cap of $635 billion, is building out new facilities in an attempt to catch up with demand, while other players like Samsung Electronics (005930.Korea) and GlobalFoundries (GFS) do the same, and Intel (INTC) likewise is moving into the market.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":342,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9065217747,"gmtCreate":1652196531289,"gmtModify":1676535050466,"author":{"id":"4096625550896330","authorId":"4096625550896330","name":"Rxphael","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/34ffc6415aeba2b931ca77a6f9126b69","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4096625550896330","idStr":"4096625550896330"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"choose wisely. companies with moat. management with vision.","listText":"choose wisely. companies with moat. management with vision.","text":"choose wisely. companies with moat. management with vision.","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9065217747","repostId":"1118756223","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1118756223","pubTimestamp":1652184862,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1118756223?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-05-10 20:14","market":"us","language":"en","title":"3 of the Top Growth Stocks on Earth","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1118756223","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"KEY POINTSNvidia grew its sales by 53%, while Tesla's sales grew 81% year over year in the latest qu","content":"

KEY POINTS

Nvidia grew its sales by 53%, while Tesla's sales grew 81% year over year in the latest quarter.

It's crucial to be selective.","content":"

After a stunning rally from the March 2020 pandemic low point, which saw the technology-centric Nasdaq-100 index more than double, it has since seen a partial reversal and is now officially in bear market territory.

Bear markets are generally defined by a prolonged decline in an index (or a trading sector) of at least 20% from recent highs. The Nasdaq-100 has comfortably surpassed that with a current loss of 26% from its all-time high set in November 2021. The broader S&P 500 isn't far behind, having lost 16% over roughly the same period.

Further increases in interest rates, paired with global geopolitical tensions and a slowing economy suggest investors will need to be more selective with their stock picks compared to the last two years. With that in mind, here are two growth stocks worth buying now, and one to avoid.

The first stock to buy: Nvidia

When it comes to selecting quality stocks, choosing businesses that are focused on the extreme long term is a great place to start. Nvidia is a global leader in the design and production of advanced computer chips (semiconductors), which are set to remain in hot demand thanks to rapid progress in new technologies like self-driving vehicles, robotics, and virtual reality.

To prepare for this high-tech future, Nvidia is transitioning from a dominant hardware player to a computing platform company that also makes semiconductors. What does that mean? Well, the future of Nvidia may rest on its software capabilities. In the gaming segment, for example, its GeForce Now platform allows over 14 million users to access their favorite games in the cloud, eliminating the need for installation and updates.

An even better example is Nvidia's autonomous driving technology, which is set to hit the road in 2024 model Mercedes-Benz vehicles, closely followed by cars from Tata Motors' Jaguar and Land Rover. The segment has already racked up $8 billion in sales for Nvidia, but that barely scratches the surface of what could be a $2.1 trillion annual opportunity by 2030.

Segments like that might be small contributors to Nvidia's revenue right now, but they could dominate the company's financials beyond the next decade. In the shorter term, analysts expect Nvidia will generate $34.7 billion in revenue and $5.65 in earnings per share during 2022, representing 29% and 27% growth compared to 2021, respectively.

The second stock to buy: DigitalOcean

Cloud computing is one of the most impactful technologies of modern times. It allows companies to migrate their operations into the digital realm, unlocking the ability for employees to collaborate on tasks even if they're in a different building -- or country. DigitalOcean Holdings is a provider of cloud services exclusively focused on small to mid-sized businesses with under 500 employees, and it's taking on its multi-trillion-dollar competitors.

The company has tailored its services to suit start-ups and small enterprises that may not have experienced tech employees on the payroll. It offers a dashboard that is simple to use, allowing for one-click deployment of virtual machines. But more importantly, it crushes its competitors on price, with bandwidth starting at $0.01 per gigabyte per month, which is 80% cheaper than its closest competitor.

Whether businesses are managing databases, building applications, or developing software, DigitalOcean has plans ranging from $0 to $15 per month, an incredibly affordable starting point. It had attracted 623,000 customers as of the first quarter of 2022, with 102,400 of them spending more than $50 per month. In the quarter, DigitalOcean logged its highest-ever average revenue per user, and retention rate, suggesting its existing customers are expanding their use of the company's services.

Analysts predict the company will generate $566 million in revenue during 2022. But that's a fraction of what DigitalOcean anticipates is a $72 billion addressable opportunity this year, which could double to $145 billion by 2025. With the company's stock down 76% from its all-time high, now might be the time to take a long-term position.

The stock to sell: Peloton

Once a pandemic darling, Peloton Interactive's at-home fitness equipment and digital classes have fallen in popularity now that society has mostly reopened. The company finds itself competing with gyms once again, and is experiencing a decline in both engagement and revenue, resulting in staggering net losses. A new CEO is at the helm and he's making some positive changes, but the smart move is to wait for tangible progress before taking a position.

Peloton announced its financial results for its fiscal third quarter of 2022 (ended March 31), and it revealed a substantial 24% year-over-year decline in revenue, which included a 42% drop in products revenue. Average monthly workouts among Peloton subscribers fell 28%, and that's important because it's a critical measure of how often users are engaging with the company's products.

But perhaps the greatest concern was the collapse in Peloton's gross profit margin. It came in at just 19.1% in the quarter, down from 35.2% in the year-ago quarter, and it triggered a 59% decline in gross profit. The result: a quarterly net loss of $757 million, taking the company's net losses to almost $1.2 billion in just the last six months.

The situation was so dire that Peloton determined its $879 million cash balance wasn't enough to secure the company's future. It just took on $750 million in debt financing to help alleviate any shortfalls, but that creates other issues -- another expense (interest) being one of them.

Peloton stock is down over 90% from its all-time high, significantly underperforming the broader market. The way back from here is paved with uncertainties, so it's best to avoid it until the company's outlook is more stable.

","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Tech Sell-Off: 2 Growth Stocks to Buy, and 1 to Sell
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nTech Sell-Off: 2 Growth Stocks to Buy, and 1 to Sell\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-05-12 23:19 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
After a stunning rally from the March 2020 pandemic low point, which saw the technology-centric Nasdaq-100 index more than double, it has since seen a partial reversal and is now officially in bear ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"DOCN":"DigitalOcean Holdings, Inc.","PTON":"Peloton Interactive, Inc.","NVDA":"英伟达"},"source_url":"https://www.fool.com/investing/2022/05/11/tech-sell-off-2-growth-stocks-to-buy-and-1-to-sell/","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"2234958237","content_text":"After a stunning rally from the March 2020 pandemic low point, which saw the technology-centric Nasdaq-100 index more than double, it has since seen a partial reversal and is now officially in bear market territory.Bear markets are generally defined by a prolonged decline in an index (or a trading sector) of at least 20% from recent highs. But more importantly, it crushes its competitors on price, with bandwidth starting at $0.01 per gigabyte per month, which is 80% cheaper than its closest competitor.Whether businesses are managing databases, building applications, or developing software, DigitalOcean has plans ranging from $0 to $15 per month, an incredibly affordable starting point. It had attracted 623,000 customers as of the first quarter of 2022, with 102,400 of them spending more than $50 per month. In the quarter, DigitalOcean logged its highest-ever average revenue per user, and retention rate, suggesting its existing customers are expanding their use of the company's services.Analysts predict the company will generate $566 million in revenue during 2022. But that's a fraction of what DigitalOcean anticipates is a $72 billion addressable opportunity this year, which could double to $145 billion by 2025. With the company's stock down 76% from its all-time high, now might be the time to take a long-term position.Image source: Peloton. The stock to sell: PelotonOnce a pandemic darling, Peloton Interactive's at-home fitness equipment and digital classes have fallen in popularity now that society has mostly reopened. The company finds itself competing with gyms once again, and is experiencing a decline in both engagement and revenue, resulting in staggering net losses. A new CEO is at the helm and he's making some positive changes, but the smart move is to wait for tangible progress before taking a position.Peloton announced its financial results for its fiscal third quarter of 2022 (ended March 31), and it revealed a substantial 24% year-over-year decline in revenue, which included a 42% drop in products revenue. It just took on $750 million in debt financing to help alleviate any shortfalls, but that creates other issues -- another expense (interest) being one of them.Peloton stock is down over 90% from its all-time high, significantly underperforming the broader market. The way back from here is paved with uncertainties, so it's best to avoid it until the company's outlook is more stable.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":279,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9061797532,"gmtCreate":1651674650042,"gmtModify":1676534946905,"author":{"id":"4096625550896330","authorId":"4096625550896330","name":"Rxphael","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/34ffc6415aeba2b931ca77a6f9126b69","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4096625550896330","idStr":"4096625550896330"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"buy, hold & be patient","listText":"buy, hold & be patient","text":"buy, hold & be patient","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9061797532","repostId":"1186093711","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":149,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9961062810,"gmtCreate":1668790935330,"gmtModify":1676538114590,"author":{"id":"4096625550896330","authorId":"4096625550896330","name":"Rxphael","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/34ffc6415aeba2b931ca77a6f9126b69","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4096625550896330","idStr":"4096625550896330"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ <v-v data-views=\"0\"></v-v>","listText":"$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ <v-v data-views=\"0\"></v-v>","text":"$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9961062810","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":76,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9064472522,"gmtCreate":1652365377166,"gmtModify":1676535085959,"author":{"id":"4096625550896330","authorId":"4096625550896330","name":"Rxphael","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/34ffc6415aeba2b931ca77a6f9126b69","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4096625550896330","idStr":"4096625550896330"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nvidia is the clear choice","listText":"Nvidia is the clear choice","text":"Nvidia is the clear choice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9064472522","repostId":"2234958237","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":104,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9062432145,"gmtCreate":1652096597987,"gmtModify":1676535028040,"author":{"id":"4096625550896330","authorId":"4096625550896330","name":"Rxphael","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/34ffc6415aeba2b931ca77a6f9126b69","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4096625550896330","idStr":"4096625550896330"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"😰","listText":"😰","text":"😰","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9062432145","repostId":"9062492725","repostType":1,"repost":{"id":9062492725,"gmtCreate":1652095218567,"gmtModify":1676535027800,"author":{"id":"4102526065628400","authorId":"4102526065628400","name":"Panda King","avatar":"https://static.itradeup.com/news/7df763e6d8e0046f61fa76fad1d5a9c9","crmLevel":8,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4102526065628400","idStr":"4102526065628400"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$terrible... haha... transitioning to commercial is costing pltr hard.
