But looking at the opportunity from the entertainment side, Roblox is well-positioned to be a leader. It ended November with 49 million daily active users that can access the platform from PCs with virtual reality equipment, game consoles, and mobile devices.</p><p>Roblox makes money from a virtual currency (Robux) that is used to access new experiences and buy virtual items for personal avatars. Revenue more than doubled in the third quarter, with daily active users up 31%.</p><p>Roblox is not just about games for kids, either. Music artists are hosting live virtual concerts to connect with fans and raise awareness for new albums. <b>Netflix</b> launched an experience on the platform based on the hit show<i>Stranger Things</i>. Toward the end of last year, <b>Nike</b> unveiled Nikeland, with virtual tennis and basketball courts and other activities for users to spend time with.</p><p>Brands&#39; interest in investing in new experiences on Roblox is a great sign for the stickiness of the platform. Investments by big brands are increasing its appeal and positioning Roblox to continue growing its base of users. Management&#39;s goal is to reach billions of users. Against this long runway of growth, the recent dip in the share price looks like a good buying opportunity.</p><p>2. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/FB\"><b>Meta Platforms</b></a></p><p>With 2.9 billion monthly active users on Facebook, Meta Platforms is a no-brainer metaverse stock. It&#39;s got a war chest of cash to spend on consumer products, such as Oculus virtual reality products, not to mention data centers and other necessary infrastructure to bring its metaverse ambitions to life.</p><p>Facebook has spent approximately $21 billion on data centers over the last decade to build a total of 18 in the U.S. and internationally, according to Goldman Sachs. It has plans to build as many as 70 more buildings.</p><p>Combine that with the company&#39;s move to split its financial reporting into two segments -- Family of Apps (social media) and Facebook Reality Labs (metaverse) -- and you can see how seriously CEO Mark Zuckerberg is taking this opportunity.</p><p>Meta Platforms is still putting up solid revenue and earnings growth, and thesocial media leader looks undervaluedat a forward price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 21.</p><p>3. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/MSFT\"><b>Microsoft</b></a></p><p>Microsoft is another reasonably valued tech stock that is well positioned to benefit from the development of Web 3.0. With its growing Xbox gaming business, the company&#39;s investments in cloud infrastructure with Microsoft Azure, and the development of the HoloLens mixed-reality headset, the software giant has all the pieces in place to capitalize on this opportunity.</p><p>HoloLens has been in development for many years. It is a headset with transparent glasses that lets the user see 3D objects in real space. It&#39;s not a consumer product, but is designed for businesses using 3D design as part of the manufacturing process. Elsewhere, Microsoft has plans to turn its Teams video conferencing app into a virtual experience using virtual reality and augmented reality goggles.</p><p>Of course, gaming will be a natural extension of the metaverse. Profit was $34.6 billion, or $2.10 per share, compared with analysts&#39; expectations of $31 billion and $1.89 per share.</p><p>The pandemic has accelerated adoption of digital tools for communication, learning and entertainment, powering Apple to blowout sales across each of the company&#39;s segments, including computers, accessories and tablets.</p><p>Apple&#39;s services business, which covers paid apps such as Apple TV+, Apple Music and Apple Fitness, also has seen a big bump. Services revenue rose 24% to $19.5 billion, topping analysts&#39; estimates of $18.6 billion. The company has 785 million paying subscribers across its offerings, an increase from 620 million a year ago and 745 million last quarter.</p><p>Sales for iPads fell 14% to $7.25 billion compared with analyst estimates of $8.2 billion, seeming to confirm industry predictions that iPads would have low priority for any scarce parts.</p><p>Sales for Macs rose 25% to $10.9 billion compared with estimates of $9.5 billion, and sales for accessories rose 13% to $14.7 billion compared with estimates of $14.6 billion.</p><p>For investors, the growing services business is helping mitigate production challenges. Apple is trading at 27 times expected earnings over the next 12 months. While down from as much as 35 a year ago, it remains above the company&#39;s five-year average of 20 times expected earnings, according to Refinitiv.</p><p>Apple is facing antitrust pressure in the United States and Europe that could lead to new regulations that cut into its services revenue.</p><p>Late last month, the Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) ordered Apple to make changes for apps on offer in the Apple App Store in the Netherlands by Jan. 15 or face fines, after it found that the U.S. company had abused its market dominance by requiring dating app developers to exclusively use Apple&#39;s in-app payment system.</p><p>Supply chain issues are dragging on and concern remains about how long it will take Apple to deliver its next big product, such as an augmented reality headset or an electric vehicle.</p><p>Apple had reported strong customer response to its latest release, the AirTag, when the accessory began shipping in the fiscal third quarter of 2021.</p><p>Apple posted a rare revenue miss in the fiscal quarter ended Sept. 25, which CEO Tim Cook attributed to pandemic-related supply constraints and manufacturing disruptions that together cost the company an estimated $6 billion in sales.</p><p>But smaller rivals are struggling to keep up with production, leading to Apple market share gains in regions such as China, said Angelo Zino of CFRA Research in a research note.</p><p>&#34;Since Apple has many customized components going into the iPhones, Macs, Apple Watch and others and the scale (volume and price) at which it procures, Apple has been able to lock-in suppliers’ capacities to timely produce those parts with lesser delays,&#34; It ended November with 49 million daily active users that can access the platform from PCs with virtual reality equipment, game consoles, and mobile devices.</p><p>Roblox makes money from a virtual currency (Robux) that is used to access new experiences and buy virtual items for personal avatars. Revenue more than doubled in the third quarter, with daily active users up 31%.</p><p>Roblox is not just about games for kids, either.
