But now, the Nasdaq is in correction territory, and many of those former hot stocks are getting heavily sold off.</p><p>In volatile times like these, a steady and increasing stream of dividends can help risk-averse investors sleep better at night.</p><p>Healthy dividend stocks have the potential to:</p><ul><li>Offer a plump income stream in both good times and bad times.</li><li>Provide much-needed diversification to growth-oriented portfolios.</li><li>Outperform the S&amp;P 500 over the long haul.</li></ul><p>Here’s a look at three stocks with oversized dividends. Remember, you don’t have to start big.</p><h2>JPMorgan Chase (JPM)</h2><p>Let’s start with a bank stock.</p><p>With inflation running hot, people are concerned about the continuous interest rate hikes from the Fed. But as it turns out, banks typically do well in a rising interest rate environment.</p><p>Banks lend money at higher rates than they borrow, pocketing the difference. When interest rates increase, the spread for how much a bank earns widens.</p><p>JPMorgan Chase is the largest U.S. bank, with a whopping $4.0 trillion in assets. The stock had a strong rally in 2021 but later gave up some of the gains. Year to date, it’s down around 21%.</p><p>The latest financials didn’t cheer up investors. In Q1, JPMorgan produced $2.63 per share in earnings, down from the $4.50 per share earned in the year-ago period.</p><p>Dividend checks, on the other hand, remain plentiful. Last summer, the bank announced an 11% increase to its quarterly dividend rate to $1 per share.</p><p>It currently yields 3.1%, which is higher than what’s offered at Goldman Sachs (2.5%), Bank of America (2.3%) and Wells Fargo (2.2%), but below <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/MSTLW\">Morgan Stanley</a> (3.3%).</p><h2><a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/WBA\">Walgreens Boots Alliance</a> (WBA)</h2><p>Despite being <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE.U\">one</a> of the essential service providers, Walgreens hasn’t been a market darling. The company’s shares have tumbled more than 40% in the last five years.</p><p>Dividends, however, have only increased. In July of 2021, Walgreens boosted its quarterly payout by 2.1% to 47.75 cents per share, marking its 48th consecutive annual dividend increase.</p><p>Looking further back, you’ll see that the retail pharmacy giant has paid uninterrupted dividends for more than 88 years.</p><p>The company has a growing business to back its rising dividends. In the three months ended Feb. 28, sales from continuing operations rose 3% year over year to $33.8 billion. Meanwhile, adjusted earnings per share grew 25.9% to $1.59.</p><p>Today, Walgreens yields 4.4%, a generous amount compared to competitors like CVS Health (2.3%) and Walmart (1.8%).</p><h2><a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/NLY\">Annaly Capital Management</a> (NLY)</h2><p>For the real yield hunters, Annaly Capital Management deserves a look.</p><p>The company is not nearly as well known as the stocks mentioned above, but it offers a staggering annual yield of 13.3%.</p><p>Structured as a real estate investment trust, Annaly is a diversified capital manager. The REIT invests in agency mortgage-backed securities, residential real estate, and middle-market lending.</p><p>Shares tumbled more than 50% during the pandemic-induced market crash in early 2020. Since then, Annaly has made a strong recovery. While the stock is not quite back to where it was before COVID, the sheer size of its dividend payments make it stand out.</p><p>The REIT reported earnings last month. In the three months ended Feb. 28, sales from continuing operations rose 3% year over year to $33.8 billion. But folks that have been investing in oil and gas for seven-plus years may remember when the company cut its dividend by 75%.</p><p>It&#39;s a rocky past that Kinder Morgan is trying to permanently put behind it -- and it&#39;s off to a good start. Since the cut, Kinder Morgan&#39;s dividend has more than doubled as it seeks to reward shareholders through a dividend supported by cash flow.</p><p>Kinder Morgan has transformed itself from an aggressive growth strategy to a defensive preservation strategy -- which is bad news for oil and gas bulls but great news for investors looking for a reliable dividend stock. In the past few years, Kinder Morgan has dramatically reduced its spending and paid off debt. Over 90% of its business is tied to stable take-or-pay and fee-based contracts that go years out, which protects against downside risk at the expense of limiting upside potential.</p><p>Kinder Morgan is unlikely to outperform other oil and gas stocks when prices are rising. But it&#39;s also much better positioned to earn strong cash flows in lower price environments as we saw in 2020. Given the stability of its businesses, Kinder Morgan is a worthy high-yield dividend stock worth considering now.</p><p><b>Throw some beans into your passive income stream</b></p><p><a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/SBUX\">Starbucks</a> often finds itself left out of dividend discussions due to outdated perceptions that the company is still a growth stock. It&#39;s not, and it hasn&#39;t been for years.</p><p>The Starbucks of today is a much more boring and stable business. Over the past five years, Starbucks has grown revenue at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of just 6.4%. But over that same period, it grew net income at a CAGR of 8.3% and its dividend at a CAGR of 14.4%.</p><p>Paying the dividend is a big part of Starbucks&#39; strategy. So much so that the company released its most aggressive dividend and buyback program in company history. In the three-year period between fiscal 2022 and fiscal 2024, Starbucks plans to spend $20 billion on dividends and share repurchases. To put that number into perspective, consider that Starbucks spent a little over $2 billion in fiscal 2021 on dividends.</p><p>Investors looking for a strong and recognizable brand that is also an excellent dividend stock should look no further than Starbucks.</p><p><b><a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/CLX\">Clorox</a>&#39;s dividend is safe</b></p><p><a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/CLX\">Clorox</a> has had a rough go of it as of late, and these difficulties are reflected in the company&#39;s stock price. After blasting to a fresh all-time high in 2020, share prices of Clorox stock are now hovering around a three-year low and are down over 40% from that high.</p><p>Clorox&#39;s problems all boil down to shrinking profit margins in the face of higher inflation.
