tg-width=\"750\" tg-height=\"500\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"/>

Daria Nipot/iStock Editorial via Getty Images

It feels like decades since Amazon's (AMZN) stock split, and that's because it has. From 6/1/98 to 9/1/99, AMZN's shares split three times, with a 2-1 split on 9/1/99 being the last time AMZN's stock split.AMZNjust announced very bullish news, in my opinion, that current and future shareholders should be excited about. AMZN has announced a 20-1 stock split subject to shareholder approval on May 25thand replacing a previous share buyback program with a $10 billion buyback authorization. Many thought AMZN would have announced a split during the 2021 Q4 earnings call, especially since Alphabet(NASDAQ:GOOG)(GOOGL) announced that they would be splitting their stock. It's never too late, and shareholders just received a double dose of bullish news.

A stock split doesn't make the company more valuable but it is bullish

AMZNhas 508.8 million shares outstanding as of their last filing date. AMZN doesn't increase the value of its company by splitting their stock. Today shares closed at $2,785.58, placing their market cap at $1.42 trillion. If AMZN's 20-1 split was to occur tonight, there would be 10.18 billion shares outstanding trading for $139.8 per share, representing a $1.42 trillion market cap. This also isn't dilution as your shares would still represent the same percentage of equity in AMZN after the 20-1 split as they did prior to the split.

AMZN just announced the 20-1 split. AMZN's annual meeting will be held on May 25th, 2021, where the 20-1 split will be voted on. If the shareholder base votes yes and this motion passes, then shareholders of record at the close on May 27thwill be provided with 19 additional shares. If you own 1 share of AMZN, you will now have 20 shares, and if you own 10 shares, you will now have 200 shares. This will occur on or around June 3rd,and split-adjusted trading is expected to occur on June 6th.

There are different viewpoints on stock splits. Some people refer to Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A)(NYSE:BRK.B)as an example of a stock that has never split and is now trading at $488,245 per share. The argument is that the market cap doesn't change during a stock split, and if a company is going to increase in price, it will just continue to increase. I can't argue this point because it's correct. If I have a large pizza with 8 slices and cut them into halves, I now have 16 slices, but it's the amount of pizza doesn't change.

marketbusinessnews.com

I love stock splits and wish companies would split their shares more frequently. If you look back at the 1990's, it was the golden era of stock splits.AMZNsplit its shares 3 times,Intel Corp(INTC) split its shares 4 times in the 90s and once again in 2000,Cisco Systems(CSCO) split their shares 5 times in the 90s and again in 2000, andMicrosoft(MSFT) split their shares 4 times in the 90s.

There are several reasons why stock splits are welcomed by shareholders and looked at favorably even though the initial value of the companies doesn't change. Normally when a board of directors declares a stock split, it's taken as a vote of confidence that its companies share value will continue to increase, which is a bullish indication. AMZN's share price has reached a level where many investors can't buy shares as $3,000 for a single share is out of many investor's price ranges. Too many people look at the share price and not at percentages. A 50% gain is a 50% gain it doesn't matter if a stock is $30 and goes to $45 or $3,000 and it goes to $4,500. More people would be inclined to purchase 100 shares of a $30 stock because they can acquire more shares instead of buying 1 share of a $3,000 stock. By AMZN splitting its shares 20-1 it makes its shares attractive to retail investors and new investors. With a $140 price tag, volume will increase, which will also increase AMZN's liquidity in the market as more shares are being traded. Stock splits can also indicate a positive signal to rating agencies which could positively impact the share price.

I believe companies should split their shares, and Apple(NASDAQ:AAPL)is a perfect example. By AAPL continuously splitting its shares, it's made the stock affordable, and buying multiple shares of AAPL instead of 1 share of AMZN may have been more attractive to investors. I own shares in both companies, but from a value proposition, I like that AAPL continues to split its shares and, since 2014, has done a 7-1 split and a 4-1 split. By keeping the share price affordable, investors are able to gain single stock exposure to their favorite companies instead of only owning them through an index or total market fund. I also believe that when stocks are affordable, they will see increased volumes, which will ultimately help price appreciation in the future. TodayAMZNhad 4.13 million shares traded while AAPL had 91.45 million shares traded. I think the split will have long-term positive effects on AMZN's share price, and I am in favor of making shares affordable for the retail investor.

Amazon replacing its current buyback program with a larger buyback authorization is bullish for shareholders

As much as I love my dividends, buybacks are the best way for companies to reward their shareholders. In 2016 AMZN put a $5 billion share buyback program in place and had purchased $2.12 billion of shares from this allotment. The board has now authorized a repurchase of up to $10 billion and will elect to purchase shares opportunistically. Buybacks are great for two reasons. First, they increase your equity position, and second, they increase how much revenue and earnings per share your shares represent.

If you own 10 shares of a company that has 100 shares, you're a 10% owner. If the company buys back 20 shares, there are now 80 shares outstanding. You're 10 shares now represent 12.5% of the equity in the company. Buybacks are extremely bullish because they make your shares more valuable as you own more equity in the company and your shares carry more weight when it comes to voting. From a financial metrics perspective, if the company was generating $500 in sales and $200 in earnings, your shares prior to the buyback would have accounted for $5 of revenue per share and $2 of earnings per share. After the buyback, since there are 80 shares instead of 100, each share would account for $6.25 in revenue per share and $2.50 in earnings per share. Buybacks can help companies manufacture earnings to a degree because, in addition to growing their corporate earnings organically, buybacks can add an additional boost and help widen the margin of an earnings beat.

Buybacks are also the most significant bullish indicator in my opinion, because it's a sign that the company believes shares are undervalued and represent a good investment. Corporations have several options when they look at allocating free cash flow (FCF). FCF can be used to pay down debt, make acquisitions, pay a dividend, or buy back shares. This is a signal that AMZN feels this $10 billion would be better invested in buying back shares than paying down its debt, allocating it toward an acquisition, or making a strategic investment. AMZN's management clearly sees value in its shares.

Amazon

Regardless of Amazon's stock split and buyback I still believe it's a great investment as Amazon will probably be the first trillion-dollar revenue company

AMZN operates in two of the quickest growing sectors, Cloud infrastructure services, and e-Commerce. While these sectors aren't new, their future growth has a long runway ahead of them. For the first time worldwide, cloud infrastructure services expendituresexceeded $50 billionin a single quarter in Q4 of 2021. The new spending record in Q4 2021 reached $53.5 billion, growing YoY by $13.6 billion (34%). In 2021, the total cloud infrastructure services spend increased by $49.7 billion to $191.7 billion globally. While Q4 set records and grew 34% YoY, cloud infrastructure services expenditures grew 35% YoY. The globalcloud computing marketis expected to reach USD 1,554.94 billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of 15.7%, according to a new study conducted by Grand View Research, Inc. In Q4 2021, AMZN's AWS captured 33% of the global cloud infrastructure spend.

Canalys

Over the past 4 fiscal years, AWS has grown by 256.3%, adding $44.74 billion in revenue to this business segment. In 2018 AWS generated an additional $8.24 billion in revenue and grew at a 47.2% YoY rate. AWS is still growing at large multiples three years later as AMZN delivered $23.39 billion in additional revenue at a 37.01% growth rate YoY. AWS has the potential to become a $100 billion business segment in 2024 if it just grows at a 20% YoY growth rate. Over the next 8 years, the worldwide cloud infrastructure spend is expected to increase to $1.55 trillion. AMZN currently has 33% of this market. If AMZN can maintain 20% of the market during its expansion AWS would be a $310.99 billion revenue segment in 2030. If AWS maintains its 33% market penetration, it will become a $513.13 billion revenue segment which would be $43.31 billion more revenue than the entire company generated in 2021.

In 2022,e-commerceis expected to break the 20% barrier of total retail sales for the first time. In 2024, e-commerce is expected to only generate 22.5% of total retail sales. Over the next 4 years, e-commerce is expected to grow by $2.35 trillion or 49.67%. In 2022, e-commerce is projected to grow by $604 billion or 12.23%, then by $609 billion in 2023 (10.99%), $616 billion (10.1%) in 2024 and by another $624 billion (9.22%) in 2025. It's not just e-commerce that will grow. Retail sales, in general, will grow from $26.03 trillion to $31.27 trillion over the next 4 years as well. In 2021AMZN'sNorth American sales revenue increased by $43.53 billion YoY as it generated $279.83 billion. Internationally, AMZN's revenue grew $23.39 billion as it generated $127.79 billion.

Amazon

insiderintelligence.com

By 2025 e-commerce sales are expected to increase by $2.35 trillion or 49.67%. AMZN continues to see increased growth YoY, and this isn't projected to stop. If AMZN can grab 10% of the growth, it would be an additional $235 billion of annual revenue. The scary part is that e-commerce isn't expected to break 1/4thof total retail sales in 2025, which leaves much organic growth well into the future.

Conclusion

AMZN dominates two of the fastest-growing sectors and is projected to continue its future growth. I see a path to AMZN becoming the first trillion-dollar revenue company. The news about AMZN's share split of 20-1 and $10 billion buyback makes me even more bullish than I was after Q4 2021 earnings. It's never too late, and shareholders just received a double dose of bullish news.A stock split doesn't make the company more valuable but it is bullishAMZNhas 508.8 million shares outstanding as of their last filing date. This also isn't dilution as your shares would still represent the same percentage of equity in AMZN after the 20-1 split as they did prior to the split.AMZN just announced the 20-1 split. This will occur on or around June 3rd,and split-adjusted trading is expected to occur on June 6th.There are different viewpoints on stock splits. If I have a large pizza with 8 slices and cut them into halves, I now have 16 slices, but it's the amount of pizza doesn't change.marketbusinessnews.comI love stock splits and wish companies would split their shares more frequently. If you look back at the 1990's, it was the golden era of stock splits.AMZNsplit its shares 3 times,Intel Corp(INTC) split its shares 4 times in the 90s and once again in 2000,Cisco Systems(CSCO) split their shares 5 times in the 90s and again in 2000, andMicrosoft(MSFT) split their shares 4 times in the 90s.There are several reasons why stock splits are welcomed by shareholders and looked at favorably even though the initial value of the companies doesn't change. Stock splits can also indicate a positive signal to rating agencies which could positively impact the share price.I believe companies should split their shares, and Apple(NASDAQ:AAPL)is a perfect example. I think the split will have long-term positive effects on AMZN's share price, and I am in favor of making shares affordable for the retail investor.Amazon replacing its current buyback program with a larger buyback authorization is bullish for shareholdersAs much as I love my dividends, buybacks are the best way for companies to reward their shareholders. Buybacks can help companies manufacture earnings to a degree because, in addition to growing their corporate earnings organically, buybacks can add an additional boost and help widen the margin of an earnings beat.Buybacks are also the most significant bullish indicator in my opinion, because it's a sign that the company believes shares are undervalued and represent a good investment. AMZN's management clearly sees value in its shares.AmazonRegardless of Amazon's stock split and buyback I still believe it's a great investment as Amazon will probably be the first trillion-dollar revenue companyAMZN operates in two of the quickest growing sectors, Cloud infrastructure services, and e-Commerce. In Q4 2021, AMZN's AWS captured 33% of the global cloud infrastructure spend.CanalysOver the past 4 fiscal years, AWS has grown by 256.3%, adding $44.74 billion in revenue to this business segment. If AWS maintains its 33% market penetration, it will become a $513.13 billion revenue segment which would be $43.31 billion more revenue than the entire company generated in 2021.In 2022,e-commerceis expected to break the 20% barrier of total retail sales for the first time. Internationally, AMZN's revenue grew $23.39 billion as it generated $127.79 billion.Amazoninsiderintelligence.comBy 2025 e-commerce sales are expected to increase by $2.35 trillion or 49.67%. AMZN continues to see increased growth YoY, and this isn't projected to stop. If AMZN can grab 10% of the growth, it would be an additional $235 billion of annual revenue. The scary part is that e-commerce isn't expected to break 1/4thof total retail sales in 2025, which leaves much organic growth well into the future.ConclusionAMZN dominates two of the fastest-growing sectors and is projected to continue its future growth. I see a path to AMZN becoming the first trillion-dollar revenue company. The news about AMZN's share split of 20-1 and $10 billion buyback makes me even more bullish than I was after Q4 2021 earnings. Splitting the shares will make shares more attractive for retail investors, increase volumes and add liquidity to shares of AMZN. The buyback signals bullishness from management as they see value in the current levels at which AMZN trades. As a shareholder, I am excited about the news and believe that this may be the firepower needed to have AMZN breakout sometime in 2022 out of its consolidating phase.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1076,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9033271768,"gmtCreate":1646300046570,"gmtModify":1676534114436,"author":{"id":"4104933917220170","authorId":"4104933917220170","name":"Davidlh5","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/d9f652096824b73bafe7adf4f2d81b0e","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4104933917220170","authorIdStr":"4104933917220170"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"[Smile] ","listText":"[Smile] ","text":"[Smile]","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9033271768","repostId":"2216107633","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"2216107633","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"T-Reuters","id":"1086160438","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a113a995fbbc262262d15a5ce37e7bc5"},"pubTimestamp":1646284808,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2216107633?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-03-03 13:20","market":"hk","language":"en","title":"Elon Musk Says Inviting UAW To Hold A Union Vote In Bay Area Factory- Tweet","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2216107633","media":"T-Reuters","summary":"March 3 (Reuters) - :Elon Musk Says Inviting Uaw To Hold A Union Vote At Their Convenience In Bay Ar","content":"

March 3 (Reuters) - :Elon Musk Says Inviting Uaw To Hold A Union Vote At Their Convenience In Bay Area - Tweet.Further Company Coverage: Tsla.O. It describes a 3D virtual environment that'll allow users to interact with their surroundings, including other users. Not only is there a gaming/entertainment aspect to the metaverse, but this collective of virtual worlds is expected to breed an entirely new ecosystem.

Making the metaverse tick is a big job, and it's going to take a large number of companies and innovators. There'll need to be enough processing capacity, storage capacity, reduced latency for users within virtual worlds, digital identity verification/security, and payment platforms in place, just to name a few of the critical functions necessary for the metaverse to succeed.

Yet, if all goes as planned, the metaverse could be the biggest investing opportunity since the birth of the internet. Matthew Ball, the CEO of venture capital company Epyllion, has estimated the metaverse market value at $10 trillion to $30 trillion within the next 10 to 15 years. Meanwhile, Morgan Stanley believes the metaverse can eventually be worth $8 billion just in China!

Although the metaverse remains a work in progress, select Wall Street analysts and investment banks see three metaverse-associated stocks skyrocketing between 195% and 383% over the coming 12 months.

Coinbase Global: Implied upside of 208%

The first metaverse stock with exceptional upside potential over the next year is the leading cryptocurrency exchange and ecosystem Coinbase Global (NASDAQ:COIN). Analyst Lisa Ellis of MoffettNathanson currently has the highest price target on Coinbase at $600. If it were to trade for this figure, investors would more than triple their money, based on where shares closed this past weekend.

Coinbase would be a pretty obvious beneficiary of the metaverse, given that protocol tokens from blockchain-based games have proved essential to early iterations of a decentralized metaverse. With Coinbase leading the way among crypto investments and transactions, it could become the de facto stop for digital currency purchases needed within virtual worlds or ecosystems.

But Coinbase sees its future in the metaverse going well beyond its cryptocurrency exchange. In December, the company released a note implying that its role will be to create "an identity on-ramp into the metaverse." Coinbase believes there'll be numerous metaverses linked together, and that having a secure identity tag, stored as a non-fungible token (NFT), will allow users easy access from one metaverse to the next. In addition to focusing on NFT identity tags, the company notes that it's working on technology that'll allow users to purchase their own avatar.

However, investors should understand that Coinbase is far from a lock to succeed. Though it's been raking in the dough from increased crypto transactions over the past 13-plus months, competition among crypto exchanges is heating up. We've watched this same fee-based price war play out with traditional brokerages, and it ended with trading commissions eventually going to zero.

Coinbase is also highly dependent on the success of Bitcoin and Ethereum, which make up the bulk of trading volume on its platform. Any weakness from the "Big Two" can quickly reduce sales and profits. With the metaverse many years away from being a big growth driver for Coinbase, it's more likely these concerns will limit this stock's upside.

Matterport: Implied upside of 383%

If you want something a bit more under the radar, borderline small-cap stock Matterport (NASDAQ:MTTR) has the potential to nearly quintuple, at least according to one analyst. Daniel Ives at Wedbush Securities has an aggressive $38 price target on shares of Matterport, which equates to upside of 383%, based on where it closed last week.

Of the three stocks on this list, Matterport has the most direct ties to the metaverse. This is a company that takes physical objects in the real world and creates 3D digital twins of them in the virtual world. The applications for this technology are immediate. For instance, real estate companies are using this technology to allow prospective buyers to get a real feel for properties on the market.

But as you can imagine, there's plenty of use for Matterport's spatial data technology in the metaverse. Imagine being able to take your home, or perhaps the home you've always dreamed about, and place it on your own plot of land in the virtual world. Though we're likely a ways away from that happening, investors are already buying into Matterport specifically for the intrigue surrounding its metaverse ties.

For the time being, Matterport's growth is primarily derived from cloud-based subscriptions. While users do have the option of accessing their digital twins for free, a paid subscription is required so that others can access these virtual twins. As of the end of the third quarter, Matterport's annual recurring revenue (what it expects to generate annually from subscription revenue) was $62.7 million.

The catch with Matterport is that it's going to require patience. Profitability isn't expected anytime soon, and the company is still valued at close to 13 times Wall Street's forecast sales for 2022.

Sea Limited: Implied upside of 195%

A final metaverse stock with plenty of upside, according to Wall Street, is Singapore-based Sea Limited (NYSE:SE). The high-water price target on Wall Street of $467 comes from analyst Nirgunan Tiruchelvam at Tellimer Research. Should Sea make waves and hit this lofty prognostication, shareholders would enjoy gains of 195%!

Sea's ties to the metaverse are fairly fresh, with the company responsible for raising about $6.3 million for artificial intelligence-based gaming company Refract. Interestingly, the funding that Sea helped anchor allowed Refract to complete an acquisition of its own (game developer Deep Dive Studios).

It should be noted that Sea already has a wildly successful gaming unit, known as Garena. The company's mobile game, Free Fire, is a global hit. During the September-ended quarter, 729 million people were actively gaming on its platform, with 12.8% of those users paying to play. It's worth pointing out that the industry's pay-to-play conversion ratio is often closer to just 2%.

Beyond gaming, Sea Limited is building up its digital financial services segment, known as SeaMoney. When the third quarter closed, more than 39 million people were paying for digital wallet services. With access to basic banking services somewhat limited in many of the emerging markets Sea operates, the company looks to have a fast-growing business segment that could help to democratize access to financial services over time.

But what may really define Sea for many years to come is Shopee, the company's rapidly growing e-commerce platform. Shopee has consistently been the most downloaded shopping app in Southeastern Asia, and it's gaining steam in Brazil. Shopee's gross merchandise value (GMV) annual run-rate surpassed $67 billion in the third quarter, which is up from $10 billion in GMV for the entirety of 2018.

Of the three companies listed here, Sea appears the most likely to eventually make a run at Wall Street's loftiest price target.

","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
3 Metaverse Stocks With 195% to 383% Upside, According to Wall Street
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n3 Metaverse Stocks With 195% to 383% Upside, According to Wall Street\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-02-16 23:27 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
There's no shortage of sustained double-digit growth opportunities over the next decade. We've watched this same fee-based price war play out with traditional brokerages, and it ended with trading commissions eventually going to zero.Coinbase is also highly dependent on the success of Bitcoin and Ethereum, which make up the bulk of trading volume on its platform. Any weakness from the \"Big Two\" can quickly reduce sales and profits. With the metaverse many years away from being a big growth driver for Coinbase, it's more likely these concerns will limit this stock's upside.Image source: Getty Images.Matterport: Implied upside of 383%If you want something a bit more under the radar, borderline small-cap stock Matterport (NASDAQ:MTTR) has the potential to nearly quintuple, at least according to one analyst. Daniel Ives at Wedbush Securities has an aggressive $38 price target on shares of Matterport, which equates to upside of 383%, based on where it closed last week.Of the three stocks on this list, Matterport has the most direct ties to the metaverse. Profitability isn't expected anytime soon, and the company is still valued at close to 13 times Wall Street's forecast sales for 2022.Image source: Getty Images.Sea Limited: Implied upside of 195%A final metaverse stock with plenty of upside, according to Wall Street, is Singapore-based Sea Limited (NYSE:SE). The high-water price target on Wall Street of $467 comes from analyst Nirgunan Tiruchelvam at Tellimer Research. Should Sea make waves and hit this lofty prognostication, shareholders would enjoy gains of 195%!Sea's ties to the metaverse are fairly fresh, with the company responsible for raising about $6.3 million for artificial intelligence-based gaming company Refract. It's worth pointing out that the industry's pay-to-play conversion ratio is often closer to just 2%.Beyond gaming, Sea Limited is building up its digital financial services segment, known as SeaMoney. Shopee's gross merchandise value (GMV) annual run-rate surpassed $67 billion in the third quarter, which is up from $10 billion in GMV for the entirety of 2018.Of the three companies listed here, Sea appears the most likely to eventually make a run at Wall Street's loftiest price target.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":362,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9094989789,"gmtCreate":1645051647125,"gmtModify":1676533990175,"author":{"id":"4104933917220170","authorId":"4104933917220170","name":"Davidlh5","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/d9f652096824b73bafe7adf4f2d81b0e","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4104933917220170","authorIdStr":"4104933917220170"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻","listText":"👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻","text":"👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻","images":[{"img":"https://static.itradeup.com/news/b18062440ef86ffedf224effa0241c23","width":"1125","height":"1476"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9094989789","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":565,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9095266520,"gmtCreate":1644932276251,"gmtModify":1676533976616,"author":{"id":"4104933917220170","authorId":"4104933917220170","name":"Davidlh5","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/d9f652096824b73bafe7adf4f2d81b0e","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4104933917220170","authorIdStr":"4104933917220170"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"👍🏻","listText":"👍🏻","text":"👍🏻","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9095266520","repostId":"1113944948","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":522,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9095996438,"gmtCreate":1644798330201,"gmtModify":1676533962089,"author":{"id":"4104933917220170","authorId":"4104933917220170","name":"Davidlh5","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/d9f652096824b73bafe7adf4f2d81b0e","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4104933917220170","authorIdStr":"4104933917220170"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"👍🏻","listText":"👍🏻","text":"👍🏻","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9095996438","repostId":"1101554991","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":487,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9092193140,"gmtCreate":1644546591805,"gmtModify":1676533939897,"author":{"id":"4104933917220170","authorId":"4104933917220170","name":"Davidlh5","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/d9f652096824b73bafe7adf4f2d81b0e","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4104933917220170","authorIdStr":"4104933917220170"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"👍","listText":"👍","text":"👍","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9092193140","repostId":"1186526027","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":573,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9096725799,"gmtCreate":1644467075217,"gmtModify":1676533930556,"author":{"id":"4104933917220170","authorId":"4104933917220170","name":"Davidlh5","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/d9f652096824b73bafe7adf4f2d81b0e","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4104933917220170","authorIdStr":"4104933917220170"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"👍","listText":"👍","text":"👍","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9096725799","repostId":"1147985129","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":353,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9096625824,"gmtCreate":1644377321546,"gmtModify":1676533919256,"author":{"id":"4104933917220170","authorId":"4104933917220170","name":"Davidlh5","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/d9f652096824b73bafe7adf4f2d81b0e","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4104933917220170","authorIdStr":"4104933917220170"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻","listText":"👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻","text":"👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻","images":[{"img":"https://static.itradeup.com/news/d945febc91539cfdf4c379df4f212c7b","width":"1125","height":"1476"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9096625824","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":180,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9096325882,"gmtCreate":1644312149089,"gmtModify":1676533911241,"author":{"id":"4104933917220170","authorId":"4104933917220170","name":"Davidlh5","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/d9f652096824b73bafe7adf4f2d81b0e","crm As bad as things have been for the S&P 500, they have been even worse for the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite, which is down 9.9% so far in this year.Investors are dumping Nasdaq stocks due to concerns over rising interest rates, which negatively impact the valuation of growth stocks and unprofitable companies. But the rotation out of Nasdaq stocks has also created some buying opportunities for long-term investors willing to stomach the volatility. Here are seven of the best Nasdaq stocks to buy, according to Bank of America.Apple IncShares of iPhone maker Apple have held up relatively well so far in 2022, down just 2.4% year-to-date. Analyst Wamsi Mohan says Apple's robust cash flow provides defense for investors against a volatile market backdrop. Mohan is projecting a strong iPhone upgrade cycle in fiscal 2023 driven by 5G upgrades that will enable more virtual reality and augmented reality applications. In addition, he says an increasing mix of high-margin Services segment growth will boost Apple's profitability and reduce its reliance on iPhone sales numbers.Bank of America has a Buy rating and $215 price target for AAPL stock.Microsoft CorporationMicrosoft shares haven't fared as well as Apple so far in 2022, falling 9% year-to-date. Microsoft made major headlines in January when it announced a $68.7 billion buyout of video game developer Activision Blizzard, Inc., Microsoft's largest acquisition in company history. The tech giant is clearly going all-in on gaming, but analyst Brad Sills says there are plenty of other reasons to like the stock, including its potential for accelerating Azure cloud services growth and its sustainable free cash flow growth in the high teen percentage range.Bank of America has a Buy rating and $365 price target for MSFT stock.Alphabet, Inc.Google and YouTube parent company Alphabet has held up relatively well so far in 2022, trading lower by just 1.2%. Alphabet made a big splash with its fourth-quarter earnings report in early February, beating analyst expectations for earnings and revenue and announcing a 20-for-1 stock split. Analyst Justin Post says Alphabet is facing difficult year-over-year comps in 2022, but the stock split underscores Alphabet's shareholder friendly management team. Post says Alphabet has more earnings stability than many of its big tech peers.Bank of America has a Buy rating and $2,510 price target for GOOGL stock.Amazon.com, Inc.Cloud services and e-commerce leader Amazon recouped much of its early-year losses when the company reported a big earnings beat in early February, and the stock is now down just 3.3% year-to-date. Post says Amazon's AWS cloud revenue growth acceleration, its improving margins and its rising Prime subscription prices make it his top FANG stock pick for 2022. Post says the Prime membership price hike alone could generate an extra $1.5 billion in annual profits for Amazon.Bank of America has a Buy rating and a $4,450 price target for AMZN stock.Meta Platforms IncMeta Platforms is the parent company of popular social media platforms Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. Unlike most of the other stocks on this list, 2022 has been a total disaster for Meta Platforms so far, and the stock is already down 31.4% year-to-date. Most of the sell-off came after Meta reported its metaverse business lost $10 billion in 2021 and said Apple's privacy changes will cost the company $10 billion in revenue in 2022. Despite all of Meta's issues, Post says investors should buy the dip and wait out the company's content, targeting and metaverse transition year.Bank of America has a Buy rating and $333 price target for FB stock.NVIDIA CorporationSemiconductor giant NVIDIA has also struggled in 2022, and its shares are down 15.7% year-to-date. Analyst Vivek Arya says Nvidia remains a top stock pick given his confidence in Nvidia's gaming, data center, omniverse and auto market opportunities. Demand outpaces supply in the semiconductor industry in 2021, but Arya says constraints should start to ease in the second half of 2022. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission sued to block Nvidia's $40 billion buyout of chip designer Arm in December, but Arya says Nvidia's long-term strategy is not reliant on the completion of the deal.Bank of America has a Buy rating and $375 price target for NVDA stock.ASML Holding NVASML is the world’s second-largest semiconductor manufacturing equipment supplier. ASML shares are down 17.4% year-to-date, but analyst Didier Scemama says the company's fiscal 2023 is shaping up to be a big year. Scemama is modeling for 17% revenue growth in fiscal 2023, and management has expressed confidence in customer demand, capacity expansion and supply chain improvements. Scemama says these tailwinds suggest there could be significant upside to ASML's long-term 2025 financial targets that the company announced back in September.Bank of America has a Buy rating and $956 price target for ASML stock.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":585,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9090219241,"gmtCreate":1643193867293,"gmtModify":1676533783544,"author":{"id":"4104933917220170","authorId":"4104933917220170","name":"Davidlh5","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/d9f652096824b73bafe7adf4f2d81b0e","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4104933917220170","authorIdStr":"4104933917220170"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"😄😬😬😬","listText":"😄😬😬😬","text":"😄😬😬😬","images":[{"img":"https://static.itradeup.com/news/a2a4d2728a7cc280f656bf2b77737edb","width":"1125","height":"1476"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9090219241","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":673,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":9095266520,"gmtCreate":1644932276251,"gmtModify":1676533976616,"author":{"id":"4104933917220170","authorId":"4104933917220170","name":"Davidlh5","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/d9f652096824b73bafe7adf4f2d81b0e","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4104933917220170","idStr":"4104933917220170"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"👍🏻","listText":"👍🏻","text":"👍🏻","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9095266520","repostId":"1113944948","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1113944948","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1644930025,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1113944948?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-02-15 21:00","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Pre-Bell|Nasdaq Futures jump 2%; Tower Semiconductor Surged 55%","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1113944948","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Wall Street futures surged on Tuesday on signs of a de-escalation in tensions between the Russia and","content":"

Wall Street futures surged on Tuesday on signs of a de-escalation in tensions between the Russia and Ukraine, with investors also awaiting key inflation data for clues on the path of interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve.

Russia said some of its military units were returning to their bases after exercises near Ukraine, following days of U.S. and British warnings that Moscow might invade its neighbor at any time.

However, it was not immediately clear if it was a temporary signal of any kind of significant pullback.

Market Snapshot

At 8 a.m. ET, Dow e-minis were up 395 points, or 1.15%, S&P 500 e-minis were up 65 points, or 1.48%, and Nasdaq 100 e-minis were up 292.25 points, or 2.05%.

Pre-Market Movers

Monster Beverage (MNST),Constellation Brands(STZ) – Merger talks between Monster Beverage and Constellation Brands are progressing, according to people familiar with the matter who spoke to Bloomberg. Even though stock splits do not fundamentally alter the value of a business -- they simply create more slices of the same pie -- many people are happy to buy more shares at lower prices.

Professional traders know this, so they also tend to buy stocks that are about to split ahead of their split dates. AWS is a beast

When most people think of Amazon, they understandably think of its massive e-commerce business. The online retail leader commands the lion's share of many global e-commerce markets. For example, roughly 57% of all online retail purchases in the U.S. are made on Amazon's platform, according to digital payments research company PYMNTS. So the company's e-commerce sites are how many people engage with its services every day.

Yet many businesses rely on Amazon for an entirely different reason. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the dominant cloud computing platform. It's the infrastructure millions of organizations use to power their cloud-based applications. AWS makes it easy to access high-performance computing and storage, as well as an ever-growing array of cloud services. Cutting-edge technologies, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, are also readily available.

With lower up-front costs, it's often more cost-effective for start-ups to use AWS than building out their own data centers. AWS also gives small businesses access to many of the same tools as their larger rivals. And large companies can use AWS to quickly scale operations while gaining additional security above what their own on-premise networks could provide.

For these and other reasons, AWS has become a huge and fast-growing business for Amazon, as well as its most important profit driver. The segment's revenue surged 37% year over year to $18.4 billion in the first quarter alone, while its operating income soared an even more impressive 57%, to $6.5 billion.

With the shift to the cloud still in its early innings, AWS' growth should continue to fuel Amazon's expansion for many years to come.

2. Advertising is booming

Digital advertising is another often-overlooked profit driver for Amazon. With so many consumers beginning (and often ending) their online shopping searches on Amazon, the company's ad platform has become an indispensable marketing tool for countless third-party merchants.

Amazon offers what few other companies can: the ability to advertise to consumers when they are most ready to buy. People go to the platform for the express purpose of searching for and purchasing the items they need and want. Conversion rates on its ad network thus tend to be much higher than on general search engines or social media sites. Merchants know this, and they're willing to pay large sums to gain access to these customers.

Amazon's advertising business, in turn, is growing rapidly. Ad revenue jumped 23% to a whopping $7.9 billion in the first quarter. With more ad spending moving to digital channels every day, Amazon's burgeoning ad business is set to grow far larger in the years ahead.

3. The stock is cheap

The broad market sell-off has battered the prices of even the best businesses this year. That includes Amazon, which has seen its share price shed more than a quarter of its value since the beginning of the year.

The stock now trades for roughly 20 times its projected operating cash flow of $121 per share in 2022. That's at the bottom end of the range it's traded within over the past five years.

AMZN price to CFO per share (TTM). Its shares can currently be had for less than 14 times its expected operating cash flow for next year of $176 per share.

Said differently, Amazon's stock is unlikely to be trading at its current price in the coming years. What's far more likely is that investors will bid up the shares as AWS and advertising sales drive its profits sharply higher.

","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
3 Reasons Amazon Stock Could Soar After Its Split
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n3 Reasons Amazon Stock Could Soar After Its Split\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-06-06 08:04 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Investors get excited about stock splits. Cybersecurity, cloud computing, and telehealth are all examples of fast-growing trends that investors can't seem to get enough of.

But if there's one opportunity that's set head and shoulders above the rest, it's the metaverse.

In simple terms, the metaverse is the next iteration of the internet.

Cybersecurity, cloud computing, and telehealth are all examples of fast-growing trends that investors can't seem to get enough of.But if there's one opportunity that's set head and shoulders above the rest, it's the metaverse.Image source: Getty Images. In simple terms, the metaverse is the next iteration of the internet. It describes a 3D virtual environment that'll allow users to interact with their surroundings, including other users. Not only is there a gaming/entertainment aspect to the metaverse, but this collective of virtual worlds is expected to breed an entirely new ecosystem.Making the metaverse tick is a big job, and it's going to take a large number of companies and innovators. There'll need to be enough processing capacity, storage capacity, reduced latency for users within virtual worlds, digital identity verification/security, and payment platforms in place, just to name a few of the critical functions necessary for the metaverse to succeed.Yet, if all goes as planned, the metaverse could be the biggest investing opportunity since the birth of the internet. Matthew Ball, the CEO of venture capital company Epyllion, has estimated the metaverse market value at $10 trillion to $30 trillion within the next 10 to 15 years. Meanwhile, Morgan Stanley believes the metaverse can eventually be worth $8 billion just in China!Although the metaverse remains a work in progress, select Wall Street analysts and investment banks see three metaverse-associated stocks skyrocketing between 195% and 383% over the coming 12 months.Image source: Getty Images.Coinbase Global: Implied upside of 208%The first metaverse stock with exceptional upside potential over the next year is the leading cryptocurrency exchange and ecosystem Coinbase Global (NASDAQ:COIN). Analyst Lisa Ellis of MoffettNathanson currently has the highest price target on Coinbase at $600. If it were to trade for this figure, investors would more than triple their money, based on where shares closed this past weekend.Coinbase would be a pretty obvious beneficiary of the metaverse, given that protocol tokens from blockchain-based games have proved essential to early iterations of a decentralized metaverse. With Coinbase leading the way among crypto investments and transactions, it could become the de facto stop for digital currency purchases needed within virtual worlds or ecosystems. But Coinbase sees its future in the metaverse going well beyond its cryptocurrency exchange. In December, the company released a note implying that its role will be to create \"an identity on-ramp into the metaverse.\" Coinbase believes there'll be numerous metaverses linked together, and that having a secure identity tag, stored as a non-fungible token (NFT), will allow users easy access from one metaverse to the next. It's worth pointing out that the industry's pay-to-play conversion ratio is often closer to just 2%.Beyond gaming, Sea Limited is building up its digital financial services segment, known as SeaMoney. Shopee's gross merchandise value (GMV) annual run-rate surpassed $67 billion in the third quarter, which is up from $10 billion in GMV for the entirety of 2018.Of the three companies listed here, Sea appears the most likely to eventually make a run at Wall Street's loftiest price target.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":362,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9013919269,"gmtCreate":1648678504733,"gmtModify":1676534374608,"author":{"id":"4104933917220170","authorId":"4104933917220170","name":"Davidlh5","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/d9f652096824b73bafe7adf4f2d81b0e","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4104933917220170","idStr":"4104933917220170"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Amazon.com(AMZN)$😁","listText":"$Amazon.com(AMZN)$😁","text":"$Amazon.com(AMZN)$😁","images":[{"img":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/e155c3689af89e8684267e5f01902aa0","width":"1170","height":"2292"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9013919269","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":301,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9092193140,"gmtCreate":1644546591805,"gmtModify":1676533939897,"author":{"id":"4104933917220170","authorId":"4104933917220170","name":"Davidlh5","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/d9f652096824b73bafe7adf4f2d81b0e","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4104933917220170","idStr":"4104933917220170"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"👍","listText":"👍","text":"👍","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9092193140","repostId":"1186526027","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1186526027","pubTimestamp":1644545902,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1186526027?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-02-11 10:18","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Black Rifle Coffee Stock Skyrockets in First Day of Trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1186526027","media":"TheStreet","summary":"Black Rifle Coffee (BRCC) shares jumped 30% in their first day of trading on the New York Stock Exch","content":"

Black Rifle Coffee (BRCC) shares jumped 30% in their first day of trading on the New York Stock Exchange.

The Austin coffee-bar chain bills itself as a company founded "to support veterans, active duty military [and] first responders" and "to [connect] consumers with great coffee and a unique brand experience."

Aiming to Hire 10,000 Veterans

Black Rifle is a unit of Authentic Brands, the closely held New York brand-management company.
