The company has a long-term target of a compounded 50% annual rise.</p><p>Acknowledging concerns about the uncertain economic environment and rising interest rates, Tesla said it is &#34;accelerating our cost reduction roadmap and driving towards higher production rates&#34; in the near term.</p><p>&#34;In any scenario, we are prepared for short-term uncertainty,&#34; it added.</p><p>Tesla has outperformed the industry and increased sales and profit to records in recent years, weathering the pandemic and global supply-chain issues better than rivals. I think what we&#39;re seeing is inflationary impact and higher raw material costs,&#34; he added.</p><p>Tesla shares rose 1% in extended trading. Tesla, which had made a series of price increases since early 2021, reversed course and offered discounts in December in the United States, followed by price cuts of as much as 20% this month.</p><p>The company said revenue was $24.32 billion for the three months ended Dec. 31, compared with analysts&#39; average estimate of $24.16 billion, according to IBES data from Refinitiv.</p><p>Tesla said its automotive operation margin was 25.9% in the fourth quarter, the lowest in two years.</p><p>Tesla offered discounts in its top markets during the quarter after strong orders had allowed the company to maintain and even raise prices in recent years. CEO Elon Musk said in December &#34;radical interest rate changes&#34; had affected the affordability of all cars.</p><p>The EV maker handed over to customers a record 405,278 vehicles in the fourth quarter, even as the company missed its 50% annual growth target.</p><p>Net profit for the quarter was $3.69 billion, or $1.07 per share, compared with $2.32 billion, or 68 cents per share, a year earlier. Adjusted earnings per share of $1.19 topped the Wall Street analyst average of $1.13.</p><p>Tesla&#39;s full-year profit was bolstered by $1.78 billion in regulatory credits, up 21% from a year ago.</p><p>Its year-end cash hoard of $22.2 billion, and up to $7 billion in funds available in a new credit facility the company disclosed on Wednesday, give it ammunition to fight the price war it started earlier this month.</p><p>Tesla reinforced its balance sheet by securing access to up to $7 billion through a new credit facility. Tesla ended 2022 with just over $22 billion in cash and cash equivalents.</p><p>&#34;Tesla’s plans to rapidly scale up output will only stimulate profit growth if demand is there to meet it. The company continues to post steep losses. It recently laid off 20% of its workforce. Wood, though, remains bullish about the stock, and bought additional shares for the ARK Innovation ETF earlier this month.</p><h2>2. Exact Sciences</h2><p><b>Exact Sciences</b> now stands as the biggest position in the ARK Innovation ETF, making up 9.36% of the fund&#39;s total portfolio. The genetic testing and diagnostics company is also the ETF&#39;s second-biggest winner year to date after its shares soared by close to 40%.</p><p>The stock plunged 40% in 2022. Despite strong revenue growth over the last few years, Exact Sciences remains unprofitable. However, the company gave investors some good news a couple of weeks ago.</p><p>Management announced a preliminary fourth-quarter revenue figure that was much better than analysts expected. It also stated that it expects to report positive adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, deprecation, and amortization (EBITDA) in Q4 and for full-year 2023. Previously, it had said it didn&#39;t expect to have positive EBITDA until Q3 2023.</p><h2>3. Roku</h2><p><b>Roku</b> is the ARK Innovation ETF&#39;s fourth-largest holding. The streaming platform stock makes up 6.87% of the ETF&#39;s total portfolio. And it has been a big winner for Wood so far in 2023 with a gain of around 34%.</p><p>Like most of the stocks in Wood&#39;s flagship ETF, Roku performed dismally last year. Its shares plummeted 82% as the overall market declined. But the climate has improved somewhat in the new year. Roku also has made a couple of big announcements.</p><p>On Jan. 4, the company revealed that it&#39;s launching its own line of smart TVs. Several analysts didn&#39;t like the move, but other investors seemed to approve. The next day, Roku stated that its number of global accounts had topped 70 million for the first time ever.</p><h2>Best of the bunch?</h2><p>It&#39;s possible that all three of these stocks could continue to help Wood beat the market in the coming months. But which is the best of the bunch? My vote goes to Exact Sciences.</p><p>Coinbase could roar back. However, I&#39;m not convinced that the crypto market will ever return to its previous lofty heights. My take is that there are other stocks that provide more attractive risk-reward propositions than Coinbase does.</p><p>Roku might be making a genius move by launching its own smart TVs. My concern, though, is that the company will now have to compete against the major TV manufacturers that have up till now helped it achieve success. Although cryptocurrencies can sometimes seem overly technical and misunderstood, keeping things simple is typically one of the best ways to maximize potential.</p><p><b>The original cryptocurrency still has it</b></p><p>Bitcoin, the world&#39;s first cryptocurrency, has led the asset class for more than 14 years. It dominates in large part due to the fact that, for a while, there simply weren&#39;t any other cryptocurrencies for investors to buy. This has changed over the past decade, but even though there are now thousands of cryptocurrencies to choose from, Bitcoin still dominates.</p><p>Its continued leadership is likely due to a handful of reasons -- among them, characteristics such its unmatched decentralization and security, and itsinherent scarcity, which supports the argument that it should be a great store of value. These traits have put Bitcoin in a class of its own, and have led to interest in it from more than just the average retail investor.</p><p>Since 2021, two countries have made Bitcoin a form of legal tender, the world&#39;s largest asset manager announced it would allow clients to own Bitcoin, and some publicly traded companies are holding some Bitcoin in lieu of cash. With these smart contracts, new use cases such as non-fungible tokens(NFTs) and decentralized finance(DeFi) were created.</p><p>In the past few years, other blockchains that support smart contracts have been created, but none have made any significant progress in usurping Ethereum&#39;s dominant position in that segment of the crypto world. No statistic displays this better than Ethereum&#39;s total value locked (TVL), a metric that quantifies the value supported by blockchains in DeFi applications.</p><p>Like a company&#39;s market cap, TVL fluctuates, but as of this writing, Ethereum&#39;s TVL is just over $27 billion and represents around 60% of all the value in DeFi. The next closest blockchain is BNB, with just $4.7 billion.</p><p>The huge market share leads that Bitcoin and Ethereum have over their competitors are the primary reasons they will be in the driver&#39;s seat when a bull market in crypto returns. In addition, and most importantly, nearly every other cryptocurrency is positively correlated to Bitcoin and Ethereum.</p><p>If there is anything investors should learn after the debacle of 2022, it&#39;s that not every cryptocurrency is worthy of a spot in your portfolio.
