@zippy1:$ARM Holdings Ltd(ARM)$ as I’ve been stating for a while, with no near term news/catalysts, this has been consolidating and is currently at the mercy of the market. The support level has been extraordinary but the macro forces will unfortunately prevail. A little cool off before resuming upwards into year end.

That all changed in July when a faulty software update pushed out by CrowdStrike caused massive outages worldwide, putting the company in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.</p><div></div><p>As expected, CrowdStrike's stock took a beating as a result of this misstep, and it has yet to recover five months later.</p><p><img src=\"https://media.ycharts.com/charts/0505c1b87ae007d374d20373682de00d.png\"/></p><p>CRWD data by YCharts</p><div><div><div></div></div></div><p>The question for investors is how badly the July outage has damaged CrowdStrike's business in the long term. While it's still not entirely clear, there were some clues in the most recent quarterly results. In its fiscal third quarter of 2025 (ended in October), CrowdStrike posted a generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) net loss of $17 million. By comparison, in the year-ago quarter, the company posted GAAP net income of $27 million.</p><p>This drastic swing to a net loss was due to an additional $34 million in operating expenses incurred by the business related to the July incident. Non-GAAP (adjusted) net income, which does not include these additional expenses, increased by 18% year over year.</p><p>It remains to be seen if there will be additional impact from the July incident in future quarters, but the stock is still cheaper than it was in July. Over the long term, CrowdStrike should return to its leadership position and regain the trust of its customers. The backlog is from the United States, UAE, and India. The Company will commence operations in these countries before the end of 2026.  Therefore, stellar revenue growth seems likely in the next five years. The Company’s automotive partners include <strong>BMW</strong> (OTCMKTS:<span><strong><u>BMWYY</u></strong></span>) and <strong>Ford</strong> (NYSE:<span><strong><u>F</u></strong></span>). With BMW also involved in parallel research and development, Solid Power has a strong backing.</p>\n<p>For the current year, the company shifted focus to A-2 sample cells. The objective is to achieve safer and higher-performance cells. Coming back to the partnership with SK On, the company has expanded its addressable market. This will translate into stellar revenue and cash flow upside. To put things into perspective, Bitfarms reported a hash rate capacity of 6.5EH/s at the end of 2023. The Company is expecting to increase capacity to 21EH/s by the end of the year. With a zero-debt balance sheet and a strong liquidity position, the next leg of expansion will likely follow. In my view, PLUG stock is deeply oversold and a strong reversal rally is in the cards.</p>\n<p>The first point to note is that industry tailwinds remain positive with the global hydrogen economy likely to get bigger with time. However, Plug Power has suffered due to cash burn and concerns related to ambitious project execution. At the same time, raising funds would imply significant dilution of equity and that has depressed the stock.</p>\n<p>However, there are positives to note amidst the concerns. Recently, Plug Power indicated that the company has made “substantial advancement” in hydrogen generation buildout. </p>\n<p>The company’s first green hydrogen plant in Georgia has reached a nameplate capacity of 15 tons per day (TPD) of liquid hydrogen production. The Tennessee plant is also operating at a nameplate capacity of 10 TPD. Further, the Louisiana plant is projected to add 15 TPD of liquid green hydrogen by Q3 2024. At the time, investors soured on the name, and it looked like CVNA’s days were numbered. However, CVNA surprised investors and analysts since then, with multi-bagger returns in just over a year. Last month, the stock hit a high of $94. It’s this kind of rally among attractive penny stocks to buy that can change the fortune of investors.\nIt’s important to note that not all penny stocks can replicate the rally in CVNA stock. The surge in Carvana’s stock should not be construed as a signal for going overboard on penny stocks. \nAt the same time, it’s important to have at least 10% to 15% exposure to penny stocks. One or a few stories like Carvana can have a significant impact on the overall portfolio. In the last six months, CRON trended higher by 41%. However, this is just the beginning of the rally in my opinion.\nIt’s also worth noting that Cronos ended its fourth quarter with a cash buffer of $862 million. This provides the company with high flexibility for organic and acquisition-driven growth.\nIn addition, Germany just legalized cannabis and Cronos has entered the German markets with an initial focus on medicinal cannabis. Further, Australia is another new market for the company. Two, it just initiated the construction of its manufacturing facility. And, with an initial capacity to produce 650 eVTOL annually, Archer is positioned to scale up operations.\nI also like the fact that Archer has an order backlog of $3.5 billion. The backlog is from the United States, UAE, and India. The Company will commence operations in these countries before the end of 2026.  Therefore, stellar revenue growth seems likely in the next five years. The upside comes after an extended period of correction. In January, Chardan Research estimated that the stock is likely to triple in share price after the company deepened its partnership with Korean conglomerate SK On. \nIn terms of business progress, Solid Power delivered A-sample cells in 2023 to formally enter the automotive qualification process. The Company’s automotive partners include BMW (OTCMKTS:BMWYY) and Ford (NYSE:F). With BMW also involved in parallel research and development, Solid Power has a strong backing.\nFor the current year, the company shifted focus to A-2 sample cells. The objective is to achieve safer and higher-performance cells. Coming back to the partnership with SK On, the company has expanded its addressable market. Further, SK On will use “Solid Power’s cell technology for research and development.” At the same time, SK On will produce solid-state batteries in Korea.\nTherefore, with strong partnerships, high financial flexibility, and steady business progress, SLDP stock is likely to skyrocket.\nBitfarms (BITF)\nSource: PHOTOCREO Michal Bednarek / Shutterstock.comWith the completed Bitcoin (BTC-USD) halving, the cryptocurrency will likely trade at new highs in the coming months. If true, some of the best Bitcoin miners are likely to surge higher, including Bitfarms (NASDAQ:BITF).\nI strongly believe the latest correction in the Bitcoin mining stock is a good opportunity to accumulate. It’s also important to note that the correction in BITF stock has been on the back of a $375 million equity offering.\nThe company plans to use the funds for massive hash rate capacity expansion. This will translate into stellar revenue and cash flow upside. To put things into perspective, Bitfarms reported a hash rate capacity of 6.5EH/s at the end of 2023. The Company is expecting to increase capacity to 21EH/s by the end of the year. With a zero-debt balance sheet and a strong liquidity position, the next leg of expansion will likely follow. In my view, PLUG stock is deeply oversold and a strong reversal rally is in the cards.\nThe first point to note is that industry tailwinds remain positive with the global hydrogen economy likely to get bigger with time. However, Plug Power has suffered due to cash burn and concerns related to ambitious project execution. At the same time, raising funds would imply significant dilution of equity and that has depressed the stock.\nHowever, there are positives to note amidst the concerns. Recently, Plug Power indicated that the company has made “substantial advancement” in hydrogen generation buildout. \nThe company’s first green hydrogen plant in Georgia has reached a nameplate capacity of 15 tons per day (TPD) of liquid hydrogen production. The Tennessee plant is also operating at a nameplate capacity of 10 TPD. Further, the Louisiana plant is projected to add 15 TPD of liquid green hydrogen by Q3 2024. With increasing focus on decarbonisation, Aker Carbon has a big addressable market in the United States and Europe.\nThe big positive is that the company has a proven proprietary technology with over 60,000 operating hours and seven carbon capture units being delivered. The Company is planning a massive scale-up and is targeting 10 million tons of CO2 capture per annum by 2025.\nTherefore, revenue growth is likely to be stellar in the coming quarters. It’s worth noting that Aker has an order backlog of 2.6 billion Norwegian krone. From a technical perspective, AMD is massively overbought (RSI &gt; 70) and looks primed for a correction. As such, today&#39;s Q4&#39;23 report could be a &#34;sell the news&#34; event!</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/cf918d83f70b57878408fc5b4e8e37e9\" title=\"\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"514\"/></p><p>AMD stock chart (WeBull Desktop)</p><p>In my previous update on the semiconductor giant, I downgraded AMD stock to a &#34;Hold&#34; due to unfavorable risk/reward:</p><blockquote><p>In my mind, AMD is a show-me story after such a mixed bag of an earnings report. As an analyst, I strive to get things right at all times, but this one I seem to have gotten horribly wrong.</p><p>In this note, we will preview AMD&#39;s Q4 2023 report and discuss its long-term risk/reward in light of this vertical run-up in the stock.</p><h2 id=\"id_2758199263\">Earnings Expectations For Q4 Have Gone In The Wrong Direction, But 2024 Promises To Be A Different Story</h2><p>In recent weeks, AMD has received lots of love from AI-hungry investors. And, while I have expressed bullishness on AMD&#39;s AI prospects in multiple research reports in the past, AMD&#39;s financials have failed to show any AI uptick thus far. For Q4 2023, AMD guided for revenues of $6.1B (+/- $300M) (slightly below street estimates.)</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/7a586938c62551914a098f2f1fdbdbf9\" title=\"\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"390\"/></p><p>AMD Investor Relations</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/7b7c24dba4b2502894502485b13191e6\" title=\"\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"217\"/></p><p>SeekingAlpha</p><p>And going into today&#39;s earnings print, consensus street estimates are pegging AMD&#39;s Q4 revenue to come in at $6.14B, i.e., in line with management&#39;s guidance and well within the stated range.</p><p>Despite the irresistible rally in AMD stock, consensus estimates for Revenue and EPS have been moving lower over the last three months, with 30 and 33 downward revisions for Revenue and EPS, respectively.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/31bbb2d3e35f70ea21bcbbc730e564c2\" title=\"\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"102\"/></p><p>SeekingAlpha</p><p>Given Intel&#39;s disappointing Q4 results and weak guidance, I&#39;m not optimistic about the idea of a significant beat from AMD in Q4. However, considering the run up in AMD&#39;s stock, I think forward guidance holds the key here.</p><p>As you may know, AMD&#39;s much-awaited MI-300 AI GPU accelerators are coming to market only in the first half of 2024, and according to industry sources, the semiconductor giant is expected to ship 400K units in 2024.</p><p>Now, as per management&#39;s guidance, AMD&#39;s AI chip revenues are set to reach $2B this year. And considering Lisa Su &amp; Co&#39;s guidance history, this estimate could be heavily sandbagged.</p><p>With PC markets seeing a sharp recovery, AMD&#39;s business is projected to re-accelerate growth throughout 2024 as it continues to take market share from Intel. And according to consensus estimates, AMD&#39;s EPS is set to grow much faster than revenue!</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/dce385c02721d05e719c6256f23d9441\" title=\"\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"352\"/></p><p>SeekingAlpha</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/89e119808f76f78d463022772805cf04\" title=\"\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"338\"/></p><p>SeekingAlpha</p><p>AMD has massive AI potential, which is not reflected in its financial numbers just yet like with - Nvidia (NVDA) or Super Micro (SMCI). However, this is likely to change in 2024, as MI-300 accelerators come to market in the next few months. While AMD&#39;s Q4 report is unlikely to support the stock rally, investors are probably looking beyond this quarter and into 2024.</p><h2 id=\"id_2834921025\"></h2><h2 id=\"id_995003503\">Final Thoughts: Despite AMD&#39;s AI Potential, It&#39;s Long-Term Risk/Reward Is Unattractive</h2><p>In light of Nvidia&#39;s blowout Q2 report (and high demand for AI chips), I upgraded AMD&#39;s five-year CAGR sales growth expectations from 15% to 25% in our model during the summer of 2023. While AMD is still not showing that AI bump in sales growth, AMD&#39;s data center business is all set to return to rapid growth in upcoming quarters, with demand for AI GPUs set to drive revenues higher (MI300 - AI GPUs guided to deliver $2B revenue in 2024). With $1T worth of cloud &amp; data center infrastructure set to be replaced over the next 10 years, AMD has a long runway for growth. That said, in order to implement a margin of safety, I&#39;m utilizing a five-year growth assumption of 20%, which is where consensus street estimates are sitting right now.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/fc50e4b7aee6d32ec840ea20da1918e1\" title=\"\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"237\"/></p><p>SeekingAlpha</p><p><strong>Here&#39;s my updated valuation model for AMD:</strong></p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d3799f209f6e19817b1ee70537ca5734\" title=\"\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"575\"/></p><p>TQI Valuation Model Free to use at TQIG.org</p><p>As you can see above, AMD&#39;s fair value is ~$110 per share, which implies a downside of roughly 38% from current levels. With AMD&#39;s base case expected CAGR falling well short of my investment hurdle rate and long-term market (SPY) returns (of 8%-10% per year), I rate AMD stock a &#34;Sell&#34; at $177 per share.</p><p>I understand that making this &#34;sell&#34; call on AMD stock right before its earnings report is a risky move (especially with animal spirits running wild in the stock market). However, the incredible rally in AMD&#39;s stock price has rendered the stock dead money for the next five years according to TQI&#39;s Valuation Model. That all changed in July when a faulty software update pushed out by CrowdStrike caused massive outages worldwide, putting the company in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.</p><div></div><p>As expected, CrowdStrike's stock took a beating as a result of this misstep, and it has yet to recover five months later.</p><p><img src=\"https://media.ycharts.com/charts/0505c1b87ae007d374d20373682de00d.png\"/></p><p>CRWD data by YCharts</p><div><div><div></div></div></div><p>The question for investors is how badly the July outage has damaged CrowdStrike's business in the long term. While it's still not entirely clear, there were some clues in the most recent quarterly results. In its fiscal third quarter of 2025 (ended in October), CrowdStrike posted a generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) net loss of $17 million. By comparison, in the year-ago quarter, the company posted GAAP net income of $27 million.</p><p>This drastic swing to a net loss was due to an additional $34 million in operating expenses incurred by the business related to the July incident. Non-GAAP (adjusted) net income, which does not include these additional expenses, increased by 18% year over year.</p><p>It remains to be seen if there will be additional impact from the July incident in future quarters, but the stock is still cheaper than it was in July. Over the long term, CrowdStrike should return to its leadership position and regain the trust of its customers. That all changed in July when a faulty software update pushed out by CrowdStrike caused massive outages worldwide, putting the company in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.As expected, CrowdStrike's stock took a beating as a result of this misstep, and it has yet to recover five months later.CRWD data by YChartsThe question for investors is how badly the July outage has damaged CrowdStrike's business in the long term. While it's still not entirely clear, there were some clues in the most recent quarterly results. In its fiscal third quarter of 2025 (ended in October), CrowdStrike posted a generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) net loss of $17 million. By comparison, in the year-ago quarter, the company posted GAAP net income of $27 million.This drastic swing to a net loss was due to an additional $34 million in operating expenses incurred by the business related to the July incident. Non-GAAP (adjusted) net income, which does not include these additional expenses, increased by 18% year over year.It remains to be seen if there will be additional impact from the July incident in future quarters, but the stock is still cheaper than it was in July. Over the long term, CrowdStrike should return to its leadership position and regain the trust of its customers.
