This was when stocks experienced a historic recovery from the 2008 Financial Crisis and the 2020 pandemic crash. In 2021, the S&P 500 recorded 70 new all-time highs, the most since 1995. This year, the index has hit 42 records year-to-date and is on track for the second-best streak since 2017. Truly historic.
