U.S. Stocks Little Changed; Target Sinks on Results -- Market Talk

1604 ET - Major stock averages end narrowly mixed as traders await Nvidia earnings after the bell, while Target shares dive 21% after it reported much weaker-than-expected results, a day after a positive update from Walmart on the holiday shopping season. Nvidia slips 1.1%, but is still up 195% this year. The dollar strengthens 0.5% against both the euro and yen, while Treasury yields rise. DJIA gains 139 points, or 0.3%, to 43408, the S&P 500 rises a fraction of a point to 5917, while the Nasdaq loses 0.1% to 18966. (patrick.sullivan@wsj.com)
