I opened $Occidental(OXY)$ ,I opened $Occidental(OXY)$ ,I opened $Occidental(OXY)$ ,I repurchased OXY today after its price fell perhaps partly due to Occidental's announcement that Ecopetrol will not acquire a stake in Crownrock assets. This development doesn't seem significant to me, given Occidental's strong fundamentals. The post-market earnings report is due next week. While I hope to sell before the earnings release, I am comfortable holding onto the stock since there's always a chance that the earnings might be positive.

The outlook for oil is looking pretty uncertain in the short term. Still lots of OPEC capacity offline too. Probably tread cautiously, although there is plenty of value in the energy space.
