Does mainland China have the capability to build its own complete chip industry chain and advance from 7nm to 1nm while driving prices down? One distinct trait of Chinese people is competitiveness, extreme competitiveness. They can bring the prices of high-tech products down to almost nothing and outcompete rivals. Take electric vehicles, for instance—full of features like autonomous driving and voice control, yet priced at just 150,000 RMB. The same goes for smartphones; for 1,500 RMB, you get 5G, touchscreen, cameras, and more. Our drones, robotic dogs, and robots are also incredibly affordable. So, if we manage to break through to 1nm in chip technology, there would hardly be any country that could compete with us in this market.
