Market trends and industry news:
1. How to determine entry price for REITs?
Tiger: @Wayneqq
I am sure many of you want to know what is a good entry price of a stock (specifically REITs). You might hear some people say that this REIT is so undervalued that you should buy immediately whereas others might say can wait for it to drop a bit more before entering, and there will be someone else who say the same REIT is ridiculously overvalued that he/she is not touching it until it drops another 20%.
So.. who is right? Who should you listen to? Or most important of all, how to decide for yourself if you should buy or not?
2. Today's reading of casino in china
Tiger: @Isuwandi
In terms of the mainland stock market, although China's import and export volume in 2021 will hit a record high (US$6.05 trillion), both exports and imports have experienced a significant slowdown...
3. Thoughts on the stock market
Tiger: @Fishermen
This year might have recession if fed is hawkish with increases 3-4 interest rates and omicron is still on the rise which very challenging for retail and traveling related stocks...
Stock opportunities:
4. We need to get this USB β¦ soon
Tiger: @KYHBKO
$U.S. Bancorp(USB)$ price fell after a disappointing earnings report as per 19 Jan 2022. Does this imply a signal to sell?
5. Who could Singapore's first SPAC merge with?
Tiger: @ιΉεηΏ°Alvinchow
1: Singapore's first ever SPAC, Vertex Technology Acquisition Corp (VTAC), has closed its IPO subscription as of 19 Jan 2022. Only $3m worth of units were offered to the public and it was 36x oversubscribed. I didn't get any.
2: ...
Tiger: @BleuNovember
I'm reading a whole bunch of articles bashing Catherine Wood and giving her "advice" on how to manage her fund. These include strategy pivots by getting her to focus her fund on tech stocks that are trading at value stock range like Facebook (Meta), Alibaba, and have even gone so far as calculating the P/B, P/S, and valuation multiples that these other tech stocks are trading in. The advice seems to be β remain in tech, but go for the ones that will experience less severe contractions in this period so that ARK will not crater as much.
7. ASML upcoming Earning Report on 19th Jan
Tiger: @wywy
... So in the event if investor are not please with the report and share price dip, I am ready to jump in to vest more in the company
8. ARKK or SPLG for you. Which ETF will you buy?
Tiger: @Tradehub76
I am more of a moderate conservative investor now. My current portfolio is now about 80% ETFs and 20% Stock pick and Crypto.
There are many type of ETFs, mainly Diversified ETFs, Industry Specific ETFs and Exotic ETFs.
2 ETFs which is always in my mind. The ARKK and SPLG. Which I have invested in one.
Yes I do understand that these 2 ETFs are different in style and targeted market. So it could be a comparison of whether you like Apple or Orange.
Tiger: @jiamu
I would trade an option combo given all that has happened and about to happen going forward. Given ARKK would most likely drop in the coming weeks and months. Where would be a good entry price after the stock has corrected? That would be my short PUT Strike...
Personal investing experience:
10. General thoughts on investing
Tiger: @mark01bravz
Let me introduce the "investing information onion." It is a practical tool that helps you classify sources of information commonly used by investors based on relevance, trustability, and usefulness.
I am a firm believer in the idea that primary sources published by the company you are researching should be THE go-to resource for investors...
Congratulations to all these tigers! πππ
