Market trends and industry news:
Tiger: @LittleEn
$S&P 500(.SPX)$β$NASDAQ(.IXIC)$As many are aware, indexes plays a very huge role in the overall health of the market. Be it the NASDAQ indexes, S&P500 or other indexes. This allows each investor to understand on when is the "best time" to enter the market but of cause like I have always tell myself that there is no "best time to enter the market" as no one could predict on what is happening in the future.
Negative impact of the overall market has just given Hedges and retail investor's who are shorting a even better opportunity to earn even more profits. I would like to reillterate this and mention that the trend is always your best friend.
2. 2022 will be a crucial year for deep value stocks!
Tiger: @msjq12
Rate hikes is bound to happen, However, it is still minimal, and it won't affect good growth and value stocks. Be prepared to take losses, or wait longer if your capital funds are low, especially if you have paid more than what the companies is worth. Always, always invest with calculated risks!
If you are long term value investing, just avoid macro-trends and focus on the valuation/ game plan of your portfolio.
Lastly, avoid over-leveraging as to prevent margin call.
Stock opportunities:
Tiger: @TheMilkyWay
All I would say is Iβm watching the stock closely & am prepared to load when itβs closer to 100.
Reason being 1. I trust technical analysis but we are in a very fearful market that even the FANNG stocks are now going into a deep correction. 2. AMD has good cash flow & the stock isnβt way overvalued so I donβt think it eould crash hard to way below 100. 3. I already have a decent position & amount so thereβs no rush for me to load up more.
Tiger: @Adriantan
I don't mind that they are not profitable. I also can look past that their revenue has declined due to Covid lockdowns. I do however have quite a few big concerns that I will list here: ...
5. Netflix down 40%: bad price, good future?
Tiger: @ιΉεηΏ°
$Netflix(NFLX)$Netflix share price has tanked 40% since the start of the year, and thatβs just a span of 3 weeks. The reasons were a mix of the macro environment (interest rate rising causing a valuation reset) and Netflixβs earnings guidance for the next quarter.
The latest earnings per share of $1.33 crushed consensus estimates of just $0.82, while revenue of $7.71b was in line with expectation. Netflix added 8.3m customers in the past quarter but the projection for Jan-Mar 2022 was a low 2.5m. That is even less than the 5.9m forecast by analysts. Netflix share price tanked 20% on that faithful day the guidance was given.
6. ASML Latest Financial Report - still a buy?
Tiger: @wywy
Q4 net sales of β¬5.0 billion, gross margin of 54.2%, net income of β¬1.8 billion. 54% gross margin is impressive and good business to me. Q4 net bookings of β¬7.1 billion. This sort of secure the next 1-2 years. Overall 2021 net sales of β¬18.6 billion, gross margin also around 52%, with net income of β¬5.9 billion
Outlook, ASML expects Q1 2022 net sales between β¬3.3 billion and β¬3.5 billion and a gross margin of around 49%
Personal investing experience:
7. Jan 2022 β Portfolio & Transaction Updates
Tiger: @3Fs
The majority of my positions which are in Chinese stocks were spared by this rampage of selling off and valuation re-setting in the market in particular for US shares. If there are any questions as to why most of my positions were in Chinese stocks in 2021 relative to any US companies, I think what happened in the market in the past few weeks provides a clue on its own.
Many of the US companies suffered heavy sell-off but they will be getting into a good buy zone and soon enough I will start allocating into some names Iβd like to add.8. Size Doesnβt Matter!
Tiger: @MindThink
Look at buying a company's stock is as if you a shareholder of the company believing in its current and future business growth.
Whether you buy a 1000 or even a 1 share stock, you are the company's shareholder, and you only want success and no failure.

9. Demystifying Options Part 11
Tiger: @Wayneqq
Multi-leg Option Strategy: Straddles and Strangles
Straddles and strangles are options strategies that allow an investor to profit from big movement in a stock price, regardless of the direction of price movement.
Both strategy requires BUYING an EQUAL NUMBER of PUT and CALL options with the SAME EXPIRATION DATE.
10. What does the Fear Index $VIX says about the coming market
Tiger: @KYHBKO
The Cboe Volatility Index (VIX) is a real-time index that represents the marketβs expectations for the relative strength of near-term price changes of the S&P 500 index (SPX). This is also known as the "Fear Index" in relationship to S&P 500. Thus, $Cboe Volatility Index(VIX)$usually move in opposite direction against the S&P500 index$S&P 500(.SPX)$.
