With the earnings season coming to an end, the 🧯❤️‍🔥 hype for a 🐂 market seems to have died down & all I see today is🩸🩸🩸 At the time of writing, all markets are down 0.4%-2%+ & 🇺🇸 index & crude oil + gas futures are also down. In addition, the 🌎's largest 🍎 iPhone factory, Foxconn continues to battle with unrest. $Straits Times Index(STI.SI)$ $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ $SQQQ(SQQQ)$ $TQQQ(TQQQ)$ $Apple(AAPL)$ How then should we be investing in the coming weeks❓ Choose Balanced Investing⚖️ (1) For Long-Term Investing (> 5+ years) Lots of stocks with strong fundamentals & ETFs that track indexes are still at a 👍discount so it’s a good time to take a small position in these stocks. ⚠️ BUT make sure that we’re choosing companies that can actually survive a severe recession - because that’s definitely still a possibility. 🏆 In this environment 💵💵💵 is king & companies with good margins & healthy balanced sheets are the ones that tend to perform better😉 For this category, I’ll go for beaten down tech stocks. By Operating Margins (as of July 2022): 🥇🍎 APPL-30.82% 🥈♾ META-30.54% 🥉💻 Alphabet:GOOGL/GOOG-29.55% By Free Cash Flow (as of July 2022): 🥇♾ META-30.94% 🥈🍎 APPL-26.37% 🥉💻 Alphabet-GOOGL/GOOG-22.53% (2) For Short-Medium Term Investing (< 5 years) ⚠️ I’ll be careful not to position my portfolio for a single outcome-Soft Landing VS Recession. I think that if we’re are either too bullish🐂 or too bearish🐻, we stand a chance of being very wrong…🏆 With a balanced portfolio of stocks with long-term value & short-term capital gains, plus some 💵 are likely to reduce any short term downside from being completely wrong. For this category, I’ll go for oil & coal stocks. ❄️Winter is not over & OPEC+ is likely to cut production to increase oil prices whenever necessarily.
