What do you think of #Trump2024? Any impact on the stock market?

Trump is coming back, announcing a White House bid for 2024

In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States,” Trump said in Florida. Former President Donald Trump, aiming to become only the second commander-in-chief ever elected to two nonconsecutive terms, announced Tuesday night that he will seek the Republican presidential nomination in 2024.

This time, the U.S. midterm elections, we all think, the Republican Party will be Trump's crazy incitement, set off a "red wave". The Republicans took the House of Representatives, but the Senate, which is a must-have, lost big time. The Democrats have now taken 50 seats and locked up control.

Therefore, Trump‘s influence is getting worse, this time the performance is very disappointing. Now it depends on Trump's iron fan, how exactly to support him. After all, Trump lose Twitter this loudspeaker, the hearts of the people scattered, the team is hard to lead. In the 2024 U.S. presidential election, look what happens!

That said Biden, he is 82 years old in 2024 and another four years be 86 years old retirement. When he did his first term, he was already the oldest president in U.S. history.

Let's see how Biden compares to Trump on all metrics.

Statistically speaking, Biden is slightly better in terms of GDP and job growth. Trump, as a controversial former president, has been a combination of praise and criticism, but it must be admitted that he is still very successful as a businessman.

Any impact on the stock market?

The focus of conversation around Trump is, of course, his own company - $Digital World Acquisition Corp(DWAC)$.

If Trump is successful in his election, it will improve the prospects for industries that often benefit from Republican leadership, like coal and energy stocks, including Exxon $Exxon Mobil(XOM)$ and $Chevron(CVX)$, and defense stocks including $Lockheed Martin(LMT)$ and $Raytheon Technologies Corporation(RTX)$.

Never thought that Trump's words two years ago would become a reality...

#Trump2024 is good especially he launch it so early. The more candidates the better for the 🇺🇸voters. It is actually harder for him this third round. Historical data show that during election year, economic volatility from public policies tends to be contained within specific industries rather than affecting the general economy. It tends to be sector-focused. The share price of his company $Digital Workd Acquisition Corp(DWAC)$ has already surged +10% since he files to run in 2024. The 🐘Republicans-related stocks will also benefit leading to the election. It does not matter to me whether he will be the President at the end soong as the stock market improve during the process. Time to assemble our funds[USD][USD][USD]

Donald Trump is a polarising figure. His declaration that he is running for 2024 presidency comes at a time when some of his fellow Republicans blame him for the dismal midterm election results. The candidates that he endorsed did not win.

Trump is also linked to the Jan 6 2021 Attack on Capitol Hill.

New York Post calls him "Trumpty Dumpty" and his party has to put it back together again. 😁

Trump will face an uphill battle to win back the White House now that there is Ron Desantis who won his Florida Governorship by a landslide.   Desantis has been galvanising much enthusiasm and raising money for the party.

Donald Trump is like a champagne bubble that has fizzled out.  If he wins, Climate Change, US Sino relations will suffer.   He withdrew from the Paris climate accord and WHO.  He imposed USD 550 billion worth of tariffs on China.

The markets will be better with a moderate US President that will promote world peace and free global trade.

I think it’s too early to determine if the stock market is better under Trump or Biden as we’re comparing 4years VS 2years. Biden inherited the stock market at its high because interest rates during the pandemic were cut & that boosted the stock market. It crashed because of the 🇷🇺-🇺🇦 war & the Feds were late in increasing rates to control inflation. What is sure is that the 🇺🇸-🇨🇳 relationship was more strained under Trump & that disharmony among nations is never a good thing for the economy. Moreover, 🇺🇸 & the media was more chaotic under Trump as his words can flip 180 degrees😅 Let’s give Biden 2 more years before we decide if the stock market & 🇺🇸 is really better under Trump😉

🍀😊I like to see #Trump2024 as he really fire fire🔥 zest things up! But the erratic ( not erotic) pattern of his $Digital World Aquisition Corp (NASDAQ: DWAC)$ already burnt a hole in my pocket!🥵 Hope my $Exxon Mobil(XOM)$ and $Chevron (CVX)$ can steadily do well to cover the loss. The U.S. stock market will go whichever way it ought to go. Wall Street does not listen to Trump for directions. Btw Corn the turkey he pardoned is still alive and living peacefully in White House with Obama’s turkey that he threatened to kill.🤪

I feel that US deserves a better presidential candidate and the world deserves a better leader. Likewise, I believe that the stock market needs a more positive catalyst than return of Trump, whose making of America great again at the expense of global economy given his agenda of protectionism and favouritism is regrettable.

His disregard for democracy, except if it is to his benefits, and spread of misinformation to his advantage only causes chaos and divisions among mankind.

While selective US stocks may outperform in his presidency, such as oil and gas industry, given his push for revival of extensive drilling for oil exploration and extraction as well as ignorance on climate change, I feel that world economy and mankind will actually retreat under his leadership.

I prefer president who is wise and bring the people together. A bit worry to buy in US market, any time company can collapse, file bankrupcy, delist, so many listed company, i will only buy famous company (big market cap), etf, brk.b if price is good.

Unlikely to see any short term impact prior to election as the US government remains divided (as per expectaruon).
Should Trump really ”triumph” the Democrats during the 2024 elections, we might see a rally as Trump is perceived to be pro business. Expectations are that he is likely to introduce policies that are in favour to businesses.
However, Trump may be unpredictable and extreme as well. The trade war in 2018 is a good testament to that

Biden made history by becoming the oldest elected US president.
Trump will make history if he gets elected by becoming the first US president to be re- elected after losing.
US market could go up again as I feel. Isn't him the first president to visit North Korea? Trade and relations with other countries could improve with will be good for US economy I think.

Trump left office, kicking and screaming, at the start of 2021 with the major U.S. benchmarks near all-time highs. Annualized returns for the S&P 500 saw annualized returns rise 13.73% during the Trump presidency, according to MarketWatch, while the Nasdaq saw annualized returns of 24.175 and the Dow rose 11.77%. The Nasdaq's performance under Trump was by far the strongest under any president, but Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama saw stronger Dow Jones and S&P returns.

2024 is 2 years away and too much will have changed. Hopefully more new potiential candidates will appear and contest. Give in more new blood and ideas to the econony and have more win win deals with other countries. Election always have an impact on the stock market due to unstable political risk. But holding long term doesnt have much inpact.
