This stock is more cyclical than the other semis and has a higher "beta" as well. It's dead money until the memory market turns. When that happens MU will rocket higher very quickly, but expect NOTHING until the market sees the memory market improve. By the way, I guess that announcement last week really killed the stock. Most semis up between 4-7% this week micron a 1/3 of that. Most semis are at recent highs right now while micron lags about 10% below it’s recent high.$Micron Technology(MU)$

Micron is turning the corner. With a "once-in-a-decade change" DDR5 SDRAM memory coupled with 4th Gen AMD EPYC processors are delivering up to two times memory bandwidth for Datacenter customers. For every new AMD install and uplift, Micron memory will benefit in the check off list. 2023 looks bright with many datacenter modernization projects on the horizon. Institution Report: Semiconductors Hit the Bottom

CITIC Securities recently released a research report on semiconductors - "What's the current status of the US semiconductor cycle?" and claimed the sector has hit the bottom. This article will explain the key points of this report.1. Semiconductors are cyclical - with a cycle of 3-4 yearsThe cyclicality of semiconductors mainly comes from the mismatch between supply and demand. When market demand is high, chip design companies will increase manufacturing orders. But the fab expansion capacity needs to debug equipment, which takes a long time. After the increase in capacity, the consumer electronics market may begin to weaken, which triggers design companies to cut orders. The following chart shows the quarterly sales of the global semiconductor market, which presents a clear cyclicality.Quarterly sales of global semiconductor market and growth yoy2. Really surprised watching Cramers show tonight. He had the CEO of Qualcomm on who said things are going very well.. Cramer ended the segment saying that Qualcomm is too cheap, that the CEO made a compelling case and, like AMD, the inventory correction is getting better..Then in his ending segment, he absolutely trashes the semi companies and says "we have sold and sold these semi stocks in my charitable trust yet we still own too much of them, which is incredible".Talk about talking out of both sides of your mouth! Lost a lot of respect for Cramer tonight.. He seems VERY invested in absolutely trashing the semis, it almost seems personal for him! Even many of those on Fast Money and the Halftime Report are liking the semis here..$AMD(AMD)$  $Qualcomm(QCOM)$

Intel jumped 10% on a barely positive ER. Seeing as AMD is taking market share from them in their most profitable sector, Data Center and all other chip sectors. There is no way, in my opinion, that AMD has a worse ER than Intel. But will the market reward it tomorrow or further down the road. So far you can see that we have a gradual growth curve that can be seen on the six month chart. GLTA$Intel(INTC)$  $AMD(AMD)$

Past few days sell off were mainly due to expectations of lower revenue due to the new USA restrictions of selling semiconductor to China, the revised revenue guidance should fairly support the stock price.

2 Discounted Tech Stocks to Help You Dig Out of the Market Rout

At first glance, the narrative for tech stocks to buy appears discouraging, to say the least. While the benchmark S&P 500 (SPX) dropped by 25% on a year-to-date basis, the tech-centric Nasdaq Composite suffered more severely, shedding over 33% during the same period. Nevertheless, because this segment centers on forward innovations, it will likely command long-term relevance. Therefore, investors may want to considertwo compelling tickers: ASML and AMD.At the beginning of this year, many on Wall Street were hopeful that the equities sector could parlay 2021’s incredible joyride into another 365 days of massive upside. Unfortunately, the prior excesses stemming from unprecedented fiscal and monetary support – arguably necessary actions to mitigate the COVID-19 impact – caught up with the economy. Suddenly, skyrocketing inflation rapidly dominated mainstream headlines. To combat this dilemma, the Federal Reserve implemented a hawkish pivot to its monetary policy, raising the

Intel Has A Lot Of Questions To Answer

Summary Intel is managing to lose market share with superior products. Zen 4 versus Raptor Lake will be more difficult for Intel. Failures in servers and GPUs are stunning and inexplicable. JHVEPhoto/iStock Editorial via Getty ImagesThis year has obviously been a difficult year for the semiconductor companies, especially recently. But, for Intel (NASDAQ:INTC), it's exposed to so many problems and failures, it makes one wonder if they are competent enough to continue to compete inthis industry, which has gotten much more competitive. This is not to say Intel has failed at everything, but it has in some ways that are just difficult to understand, and it failed spectacularly.A few months ago, I rated Intel a strong buy, now I rate it a buy. Maybe. I don't have the answers, I'm just trying to understand the questions. So, let's go over them. Why is Intel losing market share to AMD? Tiger Lake (Intel's 11th mobile) has always been better than Zen 3, although not dramatically so. Alder Lake i

Advanced Micro Devices: Eating The Competition's Lunch, One Chip At A Time

Summary AMD will continue to benefit from the growth of gaming as a whole. AMD’s software will be crucial for the future trajectory of the company and should be something all investors focus on for the foreseeable future. The majority of AMD’s assets are non-current. Justin SullivanOpportunityAMD's opportunity was nicely outlined in the company's most recent Financial Analyst Day, a four-hour showcase that I encourage all of you to watch if you're interested in learning more about the company. Some of the biggest takeaways were contained within the early section of the presentation, particularly the outline of how much the company's opportunity has changed from 2020, the date of the last analyst day, to 2022. In 2020, AMD estimated their TAM was approximately $79B, with $35B associated with the Data Center, $32B associated with PCs, and $12B associated with Gaming. Post-acquisition of Pensando and Xilinx, AMD now estimates their current opportunity to be approximately $135B,

Why AMD Is a Surefire Semiconductor Stock to Buy Right Now

The chipmaker is defying the downturn in the PC market. The semiconductor industry has enjoyed terrific growth over the past couple of years, thanks to the booming demand for chips from multiple areas such as data centers, personal computers (PCs), smartphones, factories, and vehicles, among others. The semiconductor industry generated $582 billion in revenue last year, according to IDC. The industry's revenue is expected to increase 13.7% in 2022 as well to $661 billion. However, Wall Street is having concerns about the strength of the semiconductor industry following terrible reports from the likes of Nvidia and Micron Technology. However, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is one semiconductor stock that could continue to thrive even if there is a downturn in the broader market. Let's see why that may be the case.AMD is growing at a solid pace despite headwindsWhen AMD released its second-quarter results on Aug. 2, it surprised Wall Stre
