      Don't touch my Cheese

I believe that the conflicts between China and Western countries will continue and even intensify in the next few years. The main reason why the world will become more turbulent is China. Do not misunderstand! This is definitely not because China has done anything wrong, but because of the upgrading of China's industry, the sharp edge of competitiveness is directly inserted into the traditional advantageous territory of the West, which is an inevitable result. Anyone who has experienced real market competition can understand that peers are enemies.  Competition is so cruel, it's a matter of money and jobs, which is not much less than the revenge of killing the father. Democracy and human rights are all pretense. The reason for the intensification of the conflict between China

I believe that this is a buying opportunity. I have added to my position for $TENCENT(00700)$. I see this as a parallel situation with the US' stand on the Russia-Ukraine conflict. On the account of supporting democracy and the sovereignty of individual countries, the US has to make a statement by allowing Nancy to visit Taiwan. However, let's not forget that Biden is also looking to working more with China for the country's own economy. As it is, the sanctions on Russia has driven inflation and US is not spared from it. I doubt it can agitate China by imposing any real sanctions that will also affect the country's inflationand Biden's political popularity. It is in the interest of the US to continue working with the Chinese for the

Semiconductor stocks fell globally on Tuesday as an expected visit by U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan fueled a fresh escalation in tensions between Washington and Beijing.China views the visit by Pelosi, a long-time critic of Beijing, as sending an encouraging signal to the pro-independence camp in Taiwan and has repeatedly warned against it.Taiwan is home to the world's biggest contract manufacturer of semiconductors, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd (TSMC), and peer United Microelectronics Corp (UMC). Shares of the companies fell 2.4% and 3%, respectively.Taiwanese stocks dropped 1.6%, marking their biggest percentage decline in three weeks, while Chinese stocks posted their biggest fall in more than two months on mounting geopolitical tensions."Chip

@OptionsTracker Chinese e-commerce giant, $Alibaba(BABA)$has posted earnings that beat Wall Street's expectations.A profit per share of 22 cents on sales of $30.7 billion in the three months ended in June, beating analysts' prediction of 20 cents on sales of $30.3 billion. Revenue has fallen as compared year-on-year quarter. Perhaps the guidance is not so negative that gave the boost to the share price in pre-market. With the major lockdowns removed from the major city like Shanghai, the recovery signs are there. The delisting of Baba was added into the SEC books. Politicians should be restricted in trading stocks. Baba should be good for bottom fishing now. Hold for the long term. Delisting or not, a good company will prevail. Chinese money will take over the US investors if delist from US. Believe it, when Chinese unite, theycan buy up the shares!

What are the usa doing so that they sell weapons and saction

Funds flowed from $SSE Comp(000001.SH)$ to nasdaq $Nasdaq 100 ETF(QQQ)$$SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$Sadly, US really likes to challenge other countries’ bottomline in the name of bringing peace. When they couldn’t settle their own country’s chaos (Covid, inflation, gun shots, racism etc), they create more chaos in other places. I have relatives in Taiwan and the people there are very nice and really love peace. It will be very sad to see any war between mainland China and Taiwan. Chinese are watching whole night to see if Pelosi really dares to visit Taiwan and what China government is going to do. T

Nancy Pelosi has just left Taiwan after a whirlwind visit that rocked US and China relations and sent shudders through the global markets. In response to the visit, China has announced live fire military exercises across the waters surrounding Taiwan.   It has also banned the import of Taiwanese food imports and halted exports of sand to Taiwan. It remains to be seen whether there will be further repercussions.  However today it is business as usual in the US and the markets closed higher after fresh earnings reports and positive economic data. Will Tencent and Alibaba be delisted?  I don't think so.  I believe it is in the interest of both China and the US to continue their dialogue to repair and cooperate.  Both countries have much to gain from

Pelosi's visit will definitely have ripple effects. Probably US would like to see what reaction the Chinese will do except for verbal talks. Drills around Taiwan does not mean anything, its just an showcast of military which everyone knows.Probably talks of delisting Chinese ADRs will resurface or banning of certain products into China from US. But what concrete actions will the Chinese do, is still for us to see.Whether $Alibaba(09988)$and $TENCENT(00700)$bottomed or keep dropping, the actions over the next few days will be for all to have a better forecast.Huat Ah! [Miser]

Yes, I believe market makers are using Pelosi's as an excuse to push down the prices so there's definitely arbitrage opportunities. US-China relationship hadn't been on good term since trade wars back in 2018. The ideal situation is to delist all China listed stocks from US exchange and listed them only in HK exchange and via the HK connect pipeline. You cannot expect foreigners who don't use Alibaba or Tencent to appreciate their business model when they are not a user themselves. As always, it is prudent to only invest in something you understand so you have that conviction to hold even during the worst of time.

It seems that USA still wants to exert a show that they are still THE major superpower of theworld and at the same time assure allies that USA will stand behind them. (Unlike what happened in Afganistan).Of course, for China, should Taiwan ever successfully break away, it will only trigger a seriesof negative events internally. Yet China cannotand will not show any weakness, hence the trade related sanctions on Taiwan plus the show of military might.Any conflict between US and China is only Lose-Lose and nobody wants that to happen. Perhaps it's the traditional show of brinkmanshipbefore diplomacy kicks in.On the stock front, delisting is possible although I might not say fully probable as it will hurt both sides. So fellow Tigers, please trade & invest safety.I hope all part

I hope the world leaders can see the bigger picture to keep peace together, don't step another tails. The world needs big countries to work together to bring harmony and prosperity, does it sound impossible? nowadays seems countries are getting selfish, cut/stop export/import which only cause more miseryto its residents. Wish the best for all 💕
