The electric vehicle giant has expressed its desire to build a data center in China to develop artificial intelligence algorithms for autonomous vehicles. This would require a partnership with a local company. Additionally, Tesla has engaged in talks with Nvidia about purchasing graphic processing units for the proposed data center, Reuters reported, citing a source familiar with the matter.

Meanwhile, a German local council has given the green light to Tesla's proposal to expand the grounds of its first European plant. The plan, which faced persistent protests this year, involves adding a freight depot and logistical space to the company's factory, which opened in 2022.
