Fewer than 10 companies globally have ever achieved this level. No other company embodies Wall Street’s current obsession with AI more than Nvidia. It has become the world’s biggest maker of the specialized chips needed to power a new generation of AI products, surpassing Advanced Micro Devices Inc. and Intel Corp. in capability just as the viral success of ChatGPT has virtually every company around the world baking AI into its operations. In a speech at the National Taiwan University over the weekend, Jensen Huang shared the philosophy that has brought his company to this moment: “Run, don’t walk,” he said. “Either you are running for food, or you are running from becoming food.”Huang’s urgency — and his willingness to take risks that other rule-by-committee businesses dare not — is what compelled Nvidia Corp., the Silicon Valley chipmaker he founded 30 years ago, to make big bets on artificial intelligence years before anyone else was taking it seriously. Today, it’s proving to be the company’s golden goose.Nvidia’s shares have soared since last week when it gave an AI-fueled sales forecast that shattered Wall Street’s estimates. The stock continued to gain Tuesday after announcing several new artificial intelligence-related products over the weekend that touch on everything from robotics to gaming to advertising and networking. Huang also unveiled an AI supercomputer platform that will help tech companies create their own versions of ChatGPT.“It’s too much,” Huang said during his presentation of the platform in Taiwan. “I know it’s too much.”Not everyone is bullish. In an interview on Bloomberg TV on Friday, Cathie Wood, whose flagship ARK Innovation ETF fund cut its holding in Nvidia in January, warned that the computer-chip industry’s boom-bust cycles pose risks. “There are a few reasons we take some pause,” she said, with competition growing among firms for a piece of the AI market. She called Nvidia a “a check-the-box stock.”Huang has a knack for riding tech trends — selling graphics chips that powered everything from the video game boom to the rise of cryptocurrency and the industry’s big bet on the metaverse. But arguably no trend stands to benefit his company, today the world’s most valuable chip company, more than the rise of artificial intelligence.Last week, the company issued an AI-fueled sales forecast of $11 billion in the fiscal second quarter, blowing Wall Street targets out of the water and growing its value by $184 billion in a single day.“We have never seen a guide like the one Nvidia just put up,” Sanford C. Bernstein analyst Stacy Rasgon said at the time.Nvidia was co-founded in 1993 by Huang. It proved more successful than its peers at developing chips that turn computer code into the realistic images that computer gamers love, and rode out a wave of consolidation that saw its rivals acquired, bankrupted or merged into larger companies.Under Huang, the company then pushed its technology into new markets, such as data center servers and artificial intelligence processing — a move that’s proving prescient today. In less than a decade, Nvidia’s data center business has grown from $300 million in annual revenue to $15 billion. The chipmaker has won orders to equip giant computing factories by successfully arguing that graphics chips can handle AI workloads better than more standard processors. It’s become commonplace for tech companies to talk up their artificial intelligence prospects during earnings conference calls. References to AI soared after the launch of ChatGPT in November, and they don’t always spark a stock rally. But Nvidia has now become the model of a company that’s actually making money from AI. It’s the seller of picks and shovels in the gold-rush analogy.Nvidia’s success has made investors even gloomier about Intel, a Silicon Valley pioneer and the company most synonymous with computer chips. While many chipmakers saw their stocks gain in the wake of Nvidia’s blockbuster earnings last week, Intel actually fell. Nvidia’s valuation is now more than eight times that of Intel, despite the company having far less revenue.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"NVDA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1556,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9970735187,"gmtCreate":1684939317049,"gmtModify":1684939321833,"author":{"id":"3557827170519828","authorId":"3557827170519828","name":"Yeahyeah","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ae58041562aacafaee66032c44c8dc37","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3557827170519828","idStr":"3557827170519828"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"But graph is going down ","listText":"But graph is going down ","text":"But graph is going down","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9970735187","repostId":"2337776319","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"2337776319","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1684938954,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2337776319?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2023-05-24 22:35","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Microsoft Stock: Headed to $400?","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2337776319","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"As AI hype continues to grow on Wall Street, which stocks are fluff, and which are the real deal?","content":"
\n
KEY POINTSMany tech stocks with products that support or employ AI as an integral part of their businesses are performing well in 2023.Shares of Microsoft, which provides infrastructure for AI and is ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; The company has jumped on the bandwagon in full force, making a handful of AI-related announcements this year, including the unveiling of new AI-based features for its search engine, internet browser, and productivity suite. Investors have cheered these moves, along with the company's better-than-expected fiscal third-quarter results and management's expectations for increased demand in an era in which AI helps fuel customer transformations. Despite Microsoft's strong business performance and the strides it's making in AI, the stock's mouthwatering returns in 2023 should be scrutinized. Is Wall Street too optimistic? One analyst doesn't think so. Jefferies analyst Brent Thill just upped his 12-month price target for the stock from $350 to $400. He thinks the company is positioned exceptionally well for AI, thanks to its diverse and differentiated offerings that could benefit from it.The path to $400\"Overall, we see the best-positioned groups to include hyperscalers, other enablers and data clouds, and large, differentiated platforms,\" said Thill in a note to analysts on Tuesday. In other words, he thinks differentiated and scaled tech companies like Microsoft and Alphabet (GOOG) (GOOGL) are well-positioned to benefit from the possibilities of artificial intelligence. With this in mind, the analyst boosted his price target on both stocks and reiterated buy ratings. With price targets for Microsoft and Alphabet of $400 and $150, the implied upside of Thill's new targets for these stocks is 25% and 20%, respectively.Microsoft said in its fiscal third-quarter earnings call that it believes it has \"the most powerful AI infrastructure...\" Supporting its case, it says its AI infrastructure is being used by OpenAI and NVIDIA (another tech company that has seen its stock soar amid the AI hype in 2023). Strong cloud momentumWhile the impact of AI will be broad-based across Microsoft's business, it's worth calling out a specific area of the tech company's business that is providing much of the infrastructure for the computing that goes into AI. Microsoft captures this revenue in its intelligent cloud segment, which includes revenue from its cloud-computing platform business Azure and other cloud services.Fortunately, this is already a large and scaled business -- so investors don't have to wait for new AI-driven demand to really take off before investors can benefit from the segment's momentum. Intelligent cloud revenue in Microsoft's fiscal third quarter increased 16% year over year, easily outpacing the company's consolidated revenue growth rate of 7%.Importantly, management expects this momentum to continue. The company guided for intelligent cloud revenue to increase 15% to 16% year over year in constant currency in fiscal Q4.While investors should take analysts' price targets with a grain of salt and should do their own due diligence, Thill may be onto something. Not only is Microsoft already well-positioned to benefit from AI thanks to its positioning as an infrastructure provider but it also has some exciting new features coming out that will integrate AI across its offerings. More importantly, Microsoft stock's valuation, as shown by its price-to-earnings ratio of just under 35, is reasonable relative to the company's diversified and growing business.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"MSFT":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2010,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9941327138,"gmtCreate":1679998535924,"gmtModify":1679998539787,"author":{"id":"3557827170519828","authorId":"3557827170519828","name":"Yeahyeah","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ae58041562aacafaee66032c44c8dc37","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3557827170519828","idStr":"3557827170519828"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"So is this good? Higher revenue with a small net profit

SATS saw its revenue surge by 54.5% year on year to S$475.7 million for 3Q FY2023 as flight volumes reached 71% of pre-pandemic levels.

Revenue for both its Food Solutions and Gateway Services divisions rose year on year, while the consolidation of a new subsidiary, Asia Airfreight Terminal, contributed S$30.5 million to the group’s revenue.

The group, however, incurred a minor operating loss of S$1.1 million, down from the S$9.5 million reported a year earlier.

Core net profit came in at S$0.5 million, a drop from the S$5.1 million booked in 3Q FY2022.

To be sure, this number was propped up by continued government relief.

Excluding reliefs, the net loss would have been S$13.7 million, less than half of the S$33 million net loss that SATS booked a year ago.

2. Net cash position but cash flow still negative

As of 31 December 2022, SATS held total debt of around S$420 million against cash of S$590.1 million.

Net cash stood around S$170 million for the ground handler.

Despite the better all-around financial performance, operating cash flow remained negative.

For the first nine months of fiscal 2023 (9M FY2023), SATS generated a negative operating cash flow of S$19.1 million, a reversal from the S$5 million in 9M FY2022.

Capital expenditure jumped from S$54 million to S$85.6 million over the same period.

As a result, SATS generated a negative free cash flow of S$104.7 million for 9M FY2023.

3. A surge in business volumes

Business volume had risen sharply in 9M FY2023 as air travel returned with a vengeance.

SATS handled 164,000 flights in 9M FY2023, more than double the 58,200 in 9M FY2022.

Flight numbers continued to rise quarter on quarter, chalking up 62,000 flights in 3Q FY2023 compared with 55,700 in 2Q FY2023.

Passengers handled soared more than six-fold year on year to 37.1 million in 9M FY2023 while meals served rose 25.2% year on year to 49.1 million over the same period.

Cargo tonnage jumped 37% year on year to 1.74 million for 9M FY2023, though it dipped slightly by 2.2% quarter on quarter.

SATS also had to sharply ramp up its number of employees to handle the increase in business volumes, with staff strength rising from 12,000 a year ago to 17,000 at present.

4. Travel segment still dominates group revenue

For the quarter, travel-related revenue took up slightly more than three-quarters of group revenue.

This high percentage was in contrast to 3Q FY2022 when travel revenue took up just 56.4% of group revenue.

Singapore continued to make up the bulk of revenue, coming in at 80.5%.

Greater China saw a higher contribution to revenue for 3Q FY2023 at 8.1% versus just 3.6% a year ago.

This proportion is expected to increase further as flights between China and Singapore were a significant contributor to volume in the pre-pandemic days.

5. A bright outlook

SATS provided a sanguine outlook despite macroeconomic weakness and an uncertain aviation recovery across the region.

With China’s reopened borders, flight and passenger volumes are expected to continue rising.

Kerry Mok, CEO of SATS, believes that the WFS acquisition can help SATS to build geographic and business resilience as the group embarks on its next growth phase.

Funding for this acquisition also includes a proposed rights issue, the details of which will be announced when it is launched.

Get Smart: Snagging a multi-modal cargo hub contract

Just before the release of its earnings, SATS announced that AISATS, its joint venture with Air India, has been selected to design, build, finance and operate an integrated multi-modal cargo hub (MMCH) at the upcoming Noida International Airport in Uttar Pradesh.

The airport will be completed in 2024 and the MMCH will help to facilitate seamless cargo transportation and enhance the efficiency of the region’s supply chains.

AISATS expects to sign a finalised concession agreement with the vendor, Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, in the coming weeks.

This development will further boost SATS’ presence in the Asia-Pacific region and gives the group a stake in the latest aviation developments within India.

","source":"lsy1602567310727","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Higher revenue with a small net profitSATS saw its revenue surge by 54.5% year on year to S$475.7 million for 3Q FY2023 as flight volumes reached 71% of pre-pandemic levels.Revenue for both its Food Solutions and Gateway Services divisions rose year on year, while the consolidation of a new subsidiary, Asia Airfreight Terminal, contributed S$30.5 million to the group’s revenue. The group, however, incurred a minor operating loss of S$1.1 million, down from the S$9.5 million reported a year earlier.Core net profit came in at S$0.5 million, a drop from the S$5.1 million booked in 3Q FY2022.To be sure, this number was propped up by continued government relief.Excluding reliefs, the net loss would have been S$13.7 million, less than half of the S$33 million net loss that SATS booked a year ago.2. Net cash position but cash flow still negativeAs of 31 December 2022, SATS held total debt of around S$420 million against cash of S$590.1 million.Net cash stood around S$170 million for the ground handler.Despite the better all-around financial performance, operating cash flow remained negative. For the first nine months of fiscal 2023 (9M FY2023), SATS generated a negative operating cash flow of S$19.1 million, a reversal from the S$5 million in 9M FY2022.Capital expenditure jumped from S$54 million to S$85.6 million over the same period. As a result, SATS generated a negative free cash flow of S$104.7 million for 9M FY2023.3. A surge in business volumesBusiness volume had risen sharply in 9M FY2023 as air travel returned with a vengeance.SATS handled 164,000 flights in 9M FY2023, more than double the 58,200 in 9M FY2022.Flight numbers continued to rise quarter on quarter, chalking up 62,000 flights in 3Q FY2023 compared with 55,700 in 2Q FY2023.Passengers handled soared more than six-fold year on year to 37.1 million in 9M FY2023 while meals served rose 25.2% year on year to 49.1 million over the same period.Cargo tonnage jumped 37% year on year to 1.74 million for 9M FY2023, though it dipped slightly by 2.2% quarter on quarter.SATS also had to sharply ramp up its number of employees to handle the increase in business volumes, with staff strength rising from 12,000 a year ago to 17,000 at present.4. Travel segment still dominates group revenueFor the quarter, travel-related revenue took up slightly more than three-quarters of group revenue. This high percentage was in contrast to 3Q FY2022 when travel revenue took up just 56.4% of group revenue.Singapore continued to make up the bulk of revenue, coming in at 80.5%.Greater China saw a higher contribution to revenue for 3Q FY2023 at 8.1% versus just 3.6% a year ago. This proportion is expected to increase further as flights between China and Singapore were a significant contributor to volume in the pre-pandemic days.5. A bright outlookSATS provided a sanguine outlook despite macroeconomic weakness and an uncertain aviation recovery across the region. With China’s reopened borders, flight and passenger volumes are expected to continue rising.Kerry Mok, CEO of SATS, believes that the WFS acquisition can help SATS to build geographic and business resilience as the group embarks on its next growth phase.Funding for this acquisition also includes a proposed rights issue, the details of which will be announced when it is launched.Get Smart: Snagging a multi-modal cargo hub contractJust before the release of its earnings, SATS announced that AISATS, its joint venture with Air India, has been selected to design, build, finance and operate an integrated multi-modal cargo hub (MMCH) at the upcoming Noida International Airport in Uttar Pradesh. The airport will be completed in 2024 and the MMCH will help to facilitate seamless cargo transportation and enhance the efficiency of the region’s supply chains.AISATS expects to sign a finalised concession agreement with the vendor, Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, in the coming weeks. This development will further boost SATS’ presence in the Asia-Pacific region and gives the group a stake in the latest aviation developments within India.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"S58.SI":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":451,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9954661042,"gmtCreate":1676332241887,"gmtModify":1676332246883,"author":{"id":"3557827170519828","authorId":"3557827170519828","name":"Yeahyeah","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ae58041562aacafaee66032c44c8dc37","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3557827170519828","idStr":"3557827170519828"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"not going to sell are u ? Nvidia’s valuation is now more than eight times that of Intel, despite the company having far less revenue.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"NVDA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1556,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9042178418,"gmtCreate":1656459134034,"gmtModify":1676535831331,"author":{"id":"3557827170519828","authorId":"3557827170519828","name":"Yeahyeah","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ae58041562aacafaee66032c44c8dc37","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3557827170519828","idStr":"3557827170519828"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Chance is here!","listText":"Chance is here!","text":"Chance is here!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9042178418","repostId":"2247397037","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2247397037","kind":"highlight","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1656456270,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2247397037?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-29 06:44","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Wall Street Tumbles After Weak U.S. Confidence Data; Oil Gains","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2247397037","media":"Reuters","summary":"* U.S. consumer expectations sink to a near-decade low* Nike slips on downbeat quarterly revenue for","content":"

* U.S. consumer expectations sink to a near-decade low

* Nike slips on downbeat quarterly revenue forecast

* Indexes down: Dow 1.56%, S&P 2.01%, Nasdaq 2.98%

NEW YORK, June 28 (Reuters) - Wall Street closed sharply lower in a broad sell-off on Tuesday as dire consumer confidence data dampened investor optimism and fueled worries over recession and the looming earnings season.

The S&P and the Nasdaq fell about 2% and 3% respectively, with Apple Inc, Microsoft Corp and Amazon.com weighing the heaviest. Of those, 45 have been positive and 77 have been negative, resulting in a negative/positive ratio of 1.7 stronger than the first quarter but weaker than a year ago, according to Refinitiv data.Nike Inc slid 7.0% following its lower than expected revenue forecast.Shares of Occidental Petroleum Corp advanced 4.8% after Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Inc raised its stake in the company.Declining issues outnumbered advancing ones on the NYSE by a 2.28-to-1 ratio; on Nasdaq, a 2.70-to-1 ratio favored decliners. The S&P 500 posted one new 52-week high and 29 new lows; the Nasdaq Composite recorded 29 new highs and 131 new lows.Volume on U.S. exchanges was 11.54 billion shares, compared with the 12.99 billion average over the last 20 trading days.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"LHDX":1,"UDOW":1,"OXY":1,"BRK.A":1,"PSQ":1,"QLD":1,"NKE":1,"MNQmain":1,"SANA":1,".SPX":1,"DDM":1,"DJX":1,"TQQQ":1,"CGEM":1,"LABP":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":363,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9903532138,"gmtCreate":1659052193425,"gmtModify":1676536249329,"author":{"id":"3557827170519828","authorId":"3557827170519828","name":"Yeahyeah","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ae58041562aacafaee66032c44c8dc37","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3557827170519828","idStr":"3557827170519828"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Lion-OCBC Sec HSTECH S$(HST.SI)$Am I finally seeing some positive number soon? The Fed has consistently said that it plans to raise rates to restrictive territory and hold rates there until there are clear signs that inflation is heading lower.

Yes, the Fed made a massive attempt to rein in the markets at Jackson Hole and hammered the point further in the days after Jackson Hole. Now, it needs to seal the deal. Yes, the market has started to buckle, but not enough. Fed Funds futures have repriced rapidly and now see terminal rates hitting nearly 4.4% by April.

Bloomberg

Markets Still Don't Believe The Fed

But still, the market is pricing in rate cuts by the end of 2023 and sees rates falling back to 4%. So yes, while the market agrees that rates need to go higher, it still believes the Fed will be cutting rates by around 40 bps by the end of next year. The spread between the April 2023 Fed Fund futures and December 2023 contracts on August 25 was 32 bps. The current spread suggests the market believes the Fed may be more aggressive in cutting rates next year.

Bloomberg

Sure, the Fed is making progress on higher rates, but the market doesn't believe that the Fed will be holding rates at the terminal level. That is where the Fed needs to finish what it started at Jackson Hole, and the best place for the Fed to deliver that final blow will be in its Summary of Economic Projections, or dot plots.

Higher For Longer

If the Fed wants to make its point clear, it will need to ensure that it not only sees rates getting to 4.4% or higher by the middle of 2023 but that it sees rates staying there for all of 2023 and perhaps through 2024. That is the message the Fed needs to send the market so that the Fed Funds futures begin repricing with that terminal rate holding at 4.4% so that the back of the futures curve lifts.

Mott Capital

It is a critical message because if the Fed can deliver it, it would help to reprice the Treasury and Real Yield curve, pulling longer-term rates higher. It would help to steepen the yield curve, especially on rates beyond the 2-year, where a clear inversion occurs on both nominal and real yields.

Bloomberg

This curve reshaping would be very bullish for the dollar and help it continue strengthening over the euro, yen, and yuan. Meanwhile, it would be bad news for risk assets, especially stocks, as rising real yields would weigh heavily on equity valuations.

No Room For Error

The Fed can't afford to have the same disaster at the July FOMC meeting, which made financial conditions materially ease. As much as financial conditions have tightened since Jackson Hole, they have not tightened enough. The Chicago Fed Financial Conditions Index (NFCI) and adjusted NFCI is still well below their late June highs, while the Bloomberg Financial Conditions Index (the measurements are inverted) has also failed to get back to June levels. The Goldman Sachs US Financial Conditions Index is the only index that shows financial conditions have tightened back to their June levels.

Bloomberg

The Fed cannot afford to get further behind the inflation battle and needs rates to continue pushing higher and financial conditions to tighten further. The Fed is still very much behind in bringing inflation down. The Fed has consistently said that it plans to raise rates to restrictive territory and hold rates there until there are clear signs that inflation is heading lower.Yes, the Fed made a massive attempt to rein in the markets at Jackson Hole and hammered the point further in the days after Jackson Hole. Now, it needs to seal the deal. Yes, the market has started to buckle, but not enough. Fed Funds futures have repriced rapidly and now see terminal rates hitting nearly 4.4% by April.BloombergMarkets Still Don't Believe The FedBut still, the market is pricing in rate cuts by the end of 2023 and sees rates falling back to 4%. So yes, while the market agrees that rates need to go higher, it still believes the Fed will be cutting rates by around 40 bps by the end of next year. The spread between the April 2023 Fed Fund futures and December 2023 contracts on August 25 was 32 bps. The current spread suggests the market believes the Fed may be more aggressive in cutting rates next year.BloombergSure, the Fed is making progress on higher rates, but the market doesn't believe that the Fed will be holding rates at the terminal level. That is where the Fed needs to finish what it started at Jackson Hole, and the best place for the Fed to deliver that final blow will be in its Summary of Economic Projections, or dot plots.Higher For LongerIf the Fed wants to make its point clear, it will need to ensure that it not only sees rates getting to 4.4% or higher by the middle of 2023 but that it sees rates staying there for all of 2023 and perhaps through 2024. That is the message the Fed needs to send the market so that the Fed Funds futures begin repricing with that terminal rate holding at 4.4% so that the back of the futures curve lifts.Mott CapitalIt is a critical message because if the Fed can deliver it, it would help to reprice the Treasury and Real Yield curve, pulling longer-term rates higher. It would help to steepen the yield curve, especially on rates beyond the 2-year, where a clear inversion occurs on both nominal and real yields.BloombergThis curve reshaping would be very bullish for the dollar and help it continue strengthening over the euro, yen, and yuan. Meanwhile, it would be bad news for risk assets, especially stocks, as rising real yields would weigh heavily on equity valuations. No Room For ErrorThe Fed can't afford to have the same disaster at the July FOMC meeting, which made financial conditions materially ease. The Goldman Sachs US Financial Conditions Index is the only index that shows financial conditions have tightened back to their June levels.BloombergThe Fed cannot afford to get further behind the inflation battle and needs rates to continue pushing higher and financial conditions to tighten further. The Fed is still very much behind in bringing inflation down. The Fed Funds rates are profoundly negative against the inflation rate on CPI and PCE measures, including or excluding energy.BloombergThe Fed Needs To Break The MarketThis is the Fed's battle, and it needs the market to align with its view if it has any chance of bringing inflation down. Because the Fed can only really move the front of the yield curve, but through communications and projections, it can heavily influence the longer-dated side of the curve, and that is the part of the curve the Fed has struggled the most with.So while stocks may rise sharply if the Fed only delivers a 75 bps rate, don't be surprised if that rally fades quickly if the Fed can provide a hawkish message through its forward guidance. That is where the Fed can finally shock the markets and get them to break.Because for the first time in many years, it may be the market that finally gives into the Fed, not the Fed giving into the market.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".IXIC":0.9,".DJI":0.9,".SPX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":263,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9055411808,"gmtCreate":1655301837104,"gmtModify":1676535607825,"author":{"id":"3557827170519828","authorId":"3557827170519828","name":"Yeahyeah","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ae58041562aacafaee66032c44c8dc37","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3557827170519828","idStr":"3557827170519828"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$GoPro(GPRO)$Why do I have this stock? Still, manyTeslasare purchased in numerous colors, with extensive options, and are now iconic EVs with monopolistic tendencies. Another factor about Tesla is that most owners genuinely love their vehicles and could become lifetime users of Tesla products. Considering these and other factors, it's no wonder the company's sales have continued to surge despite the rough times. Tesla recently provided better-than-expected EPS results.

Furthermore, the company illustrates a tenacity for surpassing consensus estimates. Unlike most companies, its forward EPS and revenue revisions continue heading higher. Therefore, Tesla will likely continue reporting solid earnings and providing robust guidance as we advance.

In early 2017, I wrote my first article about Tesla, discussing whether it would become a trillion-dollar company within the next decade. However, Tesla's market cap surged from around $50 billion to a trillion dollars much quicker than anticipated, but now Tesla must recover and sustain its trillion-dollar valuation status. Tesla's next significant run-up could take the stock into the multi-trillion-dollar valuation spectrum. Thus, Tesla's preferred long-term buy-in target is in the $180-200 range. However, if the bear market accelerates, the stock may drop to approximately $150, making it a strong buy. Despite this near-term downside potential, Tesla's stock price should appreciate considerably in the coming years, making it a top investment for the next decade.

The Technical Image

TSLA (StockCharts.com)

If we go back to pre-split adjusted levels at $200 here, Tesla would be worth $3,000. While Tesla's tenfold run-up since its deeply undervalued years in 2019 and earlier is significant, the stock has a long way to go to get the company to a sustainable trillion-plus dollar market cap.

Tesla is approaching a critical support level at $200-$180. While this level represents an excellent long-term entry point, Tesla's stock could fall through this level, sliding toward the critical $150 support level. The stock is down by approximately 50% from its all-time high, and while the share price could dip lower because of a broader economic slowdown, Tesla's price should bounce back and advance substantially higher in the coming years.

The Recent Report

Tesla's stock dipped lower after the company posted "mixed" results in its recent earnings announcement. The company's $1.05 in non-GAAP EPS beat by four cents, but Tesla's revenues increased slightly less than was anticipated (56% YoY). The consensus bar was set high, yet the 56% YoY growth rate is spectacular. Elon Musk said that Tesla could be worth more than Apple (AAPL) and Saudi Aramco (ARMCO) combined, and I don't see why not.

Let's Look At The Results

Tesla financials (Tesla-cdn.thron.com)

Tesla achieved an impressive 55% YoY automotive sales growth despite only implementing $286 million in credits. Automotive gross profit surged by 42% YoY to $5.2 billion while maintaining a healthy automotive gross margin of 28%. Operating expenses increased by 2% YoY, leading to an 84% surge in operating income of nearly$3.7 billion. This dynamic enabled Tesla to deliver $0.95 in GAAP EPS, a 98% YoY increase.

Operational Opportunities

Operations (Tesla-cdn.thron.com)

Tesla delivered solid 54% YoY production growth, including 123% YoY growth in its Models S/X unit. This segment alone could deliver about $100-$120 billion in sales for Tesla next year. In addition, Tesla is working on an eventual Cybertruck. The Tesla Semi is in early production.

We should be aware of the Tesla Semi's potential. Tesla plans to have production up to 50,000 Tesla Semis annually in 2024. We can estimate the ASP from prior reports, which is around $175,000. I'm optimistic that the ASP could go substantially higher due to abundant options and may stabilize closer to $200,000 down the line. Therefore, we should see approximately $8-10 billion in annual revenue flow from the Tesla Semi segment in the coming years. In addition, we will see significant growth in the Tesla Semi segment, and we could witness revenue growth of 40%-50% for several years.

We also should see revenues increase as Tesla's Cybertruck hits the market in 2024. However, a significant revenue increase from the truck will likely materialize in 2025 and onward. While it's challenging to speculate, if Tesla sells about 50,000-100,000 Cybertrucks annually, it could lead to an additional $5-$10 billion boost in sales in the coming years. Therefore, the automotive segment can potentially deliver $125-$150 billion in revenue by 2025. Tesla's non-automotive sales segments accounted for about 13% of revenues last quarter. Thus, approximately $15-$20 billion in revenue will contribute to a revenue target of $140-$170 billion by 2025.

Tesla's non-GAAP net income margin came in at 17% last quarter. A 17% income margin equates to approximately $24-$29 billion annual net income for Tesla in the coming years. Tesla has about 3.5 billion outstanding shares. Thus, we should see an EPS of around $7-$9 in 2024/2025.

Tesla Rarely Misses

Tesla has delivered remarkably consistent revenues and earnings beats in recent years.

Earnings History

Earnings History (SeekingAlpha.com)

We also saw impressive sales and EPS growth recently. Tesla recently provided better-than-expected EPS results.Furthermore, the company illustrates a tenacity for surpassing consensus estimates. The Technical ImageTSLA (StockCharts.com)If we go back to pre-split adjusted levels at $200 here, Tesla would be worth $3,000. While Tesla's tenfold run-up since its deeply undervalued years in 2019 and earlier is significant, the stock has a long way to go to get the company to a sustainable trillion-plus dollar market cap.Tesla is approaching a critical support level at $200-$180. The Recent ReportTesla's stock dipped lower after the company posted \"mixed\" results in its recent earnings announcement. This would bring the fed funds rate to its highest level since 2008.

Three 75-basis-point rate hikes in a row would be unprecedented in the era of the Fed explicitly targeting the federal funds rate to conduct monetary policy since the late 1980s. Before then, the Fed used a different mechanism for conducting monetary policy.

The Fed’s expected decision comes as inflation continues to surprise to the upside. A hot inflation report earlier this month showed consumer prices, excluding the volatile food and energy categories, increased in August from July even as the overall pace of inflation year-over-year slowed slightly. It's going to be sticky for a while," Shawn Snyder, head of investment strategy at Citi U.S. Wealth Management, told Yahoo Finance Live. This would bring the fed funds rate to its highest level since 2008.Three 75-basis-point rate hikes in a row would be unprecedented in the era of the Fed explicitly targeting the federal funds rate to conduct monetary policy since the late 1980s. Overall, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 8.3% in August from the same month a year ago, down from 8.5% in July and from 9.1% in June, which was the highest level of inflation in 40 years. The longer this period of high inflation continues, the greater the chances that expectations of higher inflation will become entrenched, making it more difficult for the Fed to achieve price stability.\"I think the August inflation report served as a wake-up call to investors that core inflation is not going to come down rapidly. It's going to be sticky for a while,\" Shawn Snyder, head of investment strategy at Citi U.S. Wealth Management, told Yahoo Finance Live. \"But I think the bigger question for investors right now is what is the terminal Fed funds rate? What is the rate at which they will go on pause?\"The Fed will release its policy statement at 2 p.m. ET followed by a press conference with Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.Investors will be looking for clarity on a few key questions, including: How far and how quickly does the Fed intend to continue raising rates to quell inflation? How long does the Fed intend to keep rates at relatively high levels?
