Anlu Rural Commercial Bank in Hubei Fined 505,000 Yuan for Cybersecurity and Other Regulatory Breaches

On March 19, financial authorities announced that the People's Bank of China Xiaogan Branch has issued an administrative penalty decision against Hubei Anlu Rural Commercial Bank. The bank was penalized for multiple violations, including non-compliance with financial statistical regulations, breaches in the management rules for RMB bank settlement accounts, and failure to adhere to cybersecurity management requirements. Additional infractions involved violating counterfeit currency business management rules, withholding fiscal deposits or funds, and non-compliance with regulations governing the collection, provision, and inquiry of credit information. The bank was also found to have provided services to clients with unidentified identities, conducted transactions with them, opened anonymous or pseudonymous accounts, and opened accounts for individuals impersonating others. As a result, the People's Bank of China Xiaogan Branch issued a warning and imposed a fine of 505,000 yuan.
