Regardless of what information they pick up, I really doubt the gold buy is related to upcoming possibility of war. If they really are sure, the bet on gold will not be so small. Its position is small and any increase will be even smaller due to the small position. So, it's insignificant and not sure why it is a topic of interest. Rather put the focus on how they are going to win more customers than their tiny bet on gold.
