1. Briefly introduce yourself, share your personal investment growth experience.
I am Timothy, a software engineer currently employed at a multinational internet company based in Singapore.
In addition to my professional career, I have extensive investment experience across various markets, including US stocks, Hong Kong stocks, the Singapore stock market, and A-shares.
While I primarily engage in stock trading, I also utilize a range of financial derivatives such as futures and options to complement my investment strategy.
2. How you made your first bucket of gold in the market?
It was around the year 2020 when the Hong Kong IPO market was offering exceptionally high returns with relatively few participants.
During that period, I participated in numerous high-profile IPOs, including companies like $NONGFU SPRING(09633)$, $POP MART(09992)$ , and $KUAISHOU-W(01024)$ . These investments yielded substantial gains and marked a significant milestone in my investment journey."
3. From your trading share orders, it seems that you mainly trade options. Why did you choose options as your main trading category?
It's important to clarify that options trading serves as a supplementary tool in my investment strategy. My primary trading instrument is indeed stocks.
When it comes to options, I generally employ them for risk management rather than speculative trading. I firmly believe in using options as a tool to protect my portfolio.
4. What is the most impressive investment experience you have had?
Let me share an impressive investment experience from last year. $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ went through a significant downturn, dropping from 16,200 to 10,200. During such periods, one must endure significant psychological fluctuations and tests.
Last year, when I assessed that the US stock market was unlikely to experience a complete collapse, I began a gradual accumulation strategy. While we may not always predict when the market will start to recover, that's perfectly fine. We own the patience and time.
5. What is your follow-up trading plan? What are the key directions you pay attention to?
At this stage, we are at the end of this round of interest rate hikes by the Fed, and the market generally believes that there will be at most one or no interest rate hikes in the fourth quarter.
Therefore, during this period, I am temporarily cautious about increasing my stock holdings and instead opt to patiently wait and observe the next market developments.
If I have available funds, I may consider allocating them to US Treasury bonds $10-YR T-NOTE - main 2312(ZNmain)$ and money market funds as part of a conservative approach to preserve capital in the current economic climate.
6. If you were to use one sentence as a slogan to get people to subscribe to your Trading Sparks account, what would it be?
"On the chessboard of the stock market, every trade is a captivating move; Subsribe my Trading Sparks account, and let's navigate it together."
