$Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc.(FFIE)$has had a great run-up these 2 days over 60% this week after the company announced a series of measures to protect its shareholders' interests and revealed a masterplan on returning to profitability and reducing its reliance on external funding.
Senior executives of the electric vehicle startup intend to raise their stock holdings as a strong vote of confidence on the company's prospect, while the company will be investigating alleged illegal short-selling of its shares and seeking remedies including pursuing legal actions against the short-sellers.
The EV maker also plans to slash labor costs and administrative expenses, while it looks into reduction of material and production costs of its FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance, its luxury EV line. Neither would the company enter into any new debt agreements with similar structures to its current convertible notes that have been been met with lacklustre response by the market.
These positive developments over the past few days have sent Faraday Future's share price skyrocketing, despite a plummeting broad market that has already been shaken by escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and resulting rally in crude oil prices, stroking fears of renewed climb in inflation. The rising long-term bond yields are not helping too, as they increase borrowing costs and depress stock valuations.
I suspect there may be some short-squeezing and covering of short positions taking place, as short-sellers rush for exits. However, I'm worried that Faraday Future might have run ahead of its fundamentals, as it may be premature to judge the effectiveness of its protective measures for its shareholders' interests and its masterplan for sustainability and profitability, and may head for a correction with the broad market in the coming days after the steep run-up.

$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$Tesla shares to hit 300 at earnings call today? Unlikely really. With so much negativity with Tesla news these past few weeks, I would say the share price would come down to the low 200 before it can hit 300 again after Elon has come to the rescue with his antics and good news from the company.
As of now, I can see TSLA share price keeps heading south. Their revent cut in prices of one or two of the popular models, the recalls due to some malfunction in production albiet easily fixed via online and missing out on production numbers in churning out their vehicles all speak badly for Tesla. I expect today's earninhs report to be largely below analysts' expectations and see priices swing wildly before settling at the day's low. However, investors should take heart.
It is always a buy on the dip for TSLA as, in the longer term, TSLA share price would hit 300 and beyond in the not too distant months away. Do pick up TSLA shares and these dipping buys would bring your average cost down. Hold without fear for Tesla is a big growth company and when TSLAshares hit 300 in time to come, you would be laughing all the way to the bank! Take heart, my Tiger friends and investors.
