$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ technology lead on AI chips is about to crash if this happens

Tech giants like OpenAI, $Qualcomm(QCOM)$, $Alphabet(GOOG)$, and $Intel(INTC)$ are teaming up to challenge NVIDIA's dominance in AI chips.

NVIDIA has been leading in AI chips, making it hard for other companies to compete.

They're targeting NVIDIA's CUDA platform, which many developers use to build AI models.

These companies are part of a group called the UXL Foundation, aiming to create open-source software that can support different AI chips, making it easier for developers to use other hardware besides NVIDIA's.

This move is supported by $Qualcomm(QCOM)$ and $Alphabet(GOOG)$ , who want to encourage an open ecosystem and more choices in hardware.

The UXL Foundation plans to finalize technical details by the end of the year, aiming for collaboration among various companies.

This challenge to NVIDIA isn't just from the UXL Foundation but also from many startups and investors investing billions in alternative technologies.

The battle isn't just about features but also about the entrenched use of NVIDIA's CUDA platform over the years.

As more competitors enter the scene, NVIDIA faces increasing pressure to maintain its position in AI computing.

Chase High of NVDA or Bottom Tesla?
In just two weeks, Nvidia rose from $495 to $595. The AI heat is getting hotter. Tesla, however, fell for 2 consecutive weeks and closed at $208 yesterday. Investors are waiting for Tesla's earnings this week. NVIDIA's market value is now equal to two Tesla. -------------------- Do you think this valuation is reasonable? Will you chase the high of Nvidia or bottom Tesla? What's your target price for Nvidia and Tesla?

If i remember correctly there was also another group formed by IBM, AMD with the same intention. I think its natural that competitors wanna break a strong monopoly and dependency but it will take time to gain ground
