What is a Bitcoin block halving event?
Block halving events happen every 4 years or 210,000 blocks on Bitcoin blockchain. Bitcoin's initial block reward was 50 BTC. The current block reward is 6.25 BTC, the next block reward will be 3.125 BTC. This lowers the rate at which Bitcoins are generated. The halving is periodical and is programmed into Bitcoin's code.

It is estimated to see the Bitcoin halving happening in Singapore time on 20th April 2024 at around 1047hrs GMT+8.
As of time of writing, we have seen $CME Bitcoin - main 2404(BTCmain)$ went up by 2K from $61K to $63K. Miners stocks like $CleanSpark, Inc.(CLSK)$ $Marathon Digital Holdings Inc(MARA)$ $Riot Platforms(RIOT)$ making positive move on Friday trading session.
What would be important to watch is the after hours trading on Friday (19 April).
Why was this done?
Conventional FIAT currencies are subject to inflation due to the ability of governments or banks to increase the money supply. Unlike these currencies, Bitcoin has a capped total supply of 21,000,000 BTC, meaning no additional coins can be created beyond this limit. This finite supply, alongside potential changes in demand as more people adopt Bitcoin, positions it similarly to gold - a resource with a limited supply that cannot be artificially increased.
We are currently very near to the Event block weight of 840,000, once we hit that block weight, this is the time halving will happening.
How Can We Take Advantage Now?
We can start to load up some of the miners stocks and also Spot Blockchain ETFs to prepare for more upside tomorrow and next week. $Grayscale Bitcoin Trust(GBTC)$ would be one that has potential.

Summary
If you are HODL for Bitcoin and crypto stocks, this might be a good time to load up some of the miner stocks and ETFs to prepare for more anticipated upside next week as the halving would happen on Saturday, a non US trading day.
