Earnings Calendar (09Sep24)

Q3/2024 starts and a few earnings are coming in the coming week.

There are some earnings of interest in the coming week namely, Oracle, Gamestrop and Adobe.

Let us look at Adobe in detail.

Observations:

  • Revenue grew from $4.147B (2014) to $19.409B (2023), almost 5x.

  • The average gross profit is 86.4% (10-Yr Median margin)

  • Operating profit grew from $433M (2014) to $6,650M (2023)

  • EPS grew from $0.53 (2014) to $11.82 (2023).

Investing dot com has a recommended “BUY” rating from their technical analysis and analysts’ sentiment.

The price has remained the same from a year ago. The P/E ratio is 50.34 and seems to be a tad expensive.

For the coming earnings, the forecast EPS and Revenue are 4.53 and $5.37B respectively. Personally, Adobe is a good company but I prefer to monitor for now. There are new threats in AI and there is a chance that Adobe can maintain a strong lead using AI. It will be interesting how things unfold.
