I love South New Zealand. I spent 3 weeks there a decade ago. People were down to earth and it had a close community sort of vibe to it. I had 2 car accidents there. In the first accident, I waited in the car that was flipped, unable to get out and waited for 30mins not seeing a single car on the road. The first van that drove by stopped, pulled me out and helped me to get to the nearest town to make a phone call. In the second accident, which was more severe than the first, the boss of the mechanic invited me to his place to stay as the car would take 2 days to repair. His family was really welcoming. His wife prepared fantastic meals, we even walked the horses and dogs together by the beach. I love the Kiwis. They are good people. ❤️ To me, people is what make the place worth going back again.
