It's speculation when it's on the markets and we bet its price goes up and down, but it also has a very particular property....store of value when all others goes to hell. In a reset, which has happened repeatedly over millenia, gold won't make u rich//
@highhand:maybe. why not? but gold is speculative asset. there's no intrinsic value nor does it grow in value organically like a company... that's not to say it will not increase in value, but it's definitely more volatile and not necessarily correlated to a weak USD every time.
