Who sent Trump back to the White House?

Many people attribute Trump's victory to the efforts of himself and his team, as well as the help of celebrities such as Elon Musk.

These can certainly help him, so that he from four years ago do not know the politics of the often criticized "rash youth" to become more fluent in the political world veteran, more know in the campaign to use "strategy" to win the hearts and minds of the people.

But it wasn't this that sent him back to the presidency, it was Biden.

Below is a chart documenting the last 4 presidential elections, the number of votes for each of the Democrats and Republicans (some states are not completely finished counting the votes, but it doesn't affect the big picture)

  1. From 2016-2020, the overall number of registered voters increased, but the increase in the Democratic ticket was more pronounced, and proved to be the key to the tiny state-by-state differences that also swayed the swing states;

  2. While there is an overall decline in voters from 2020-2024, the Democratic decline is more pronounced, with almost 15 million fewer votes, while Trump's vote barely changes much.

So why is the Democratic vote suddenly so much less?

  1. Inflation.This is the main reason why I have said that Powell's Federal Reserve, "turning a blind eye" and "turning a deaf ear" to inflation starting in late 2021 could bury the Democrats.It turns out that voters with no money in their pockets, even if they hate Trump, probably won't vote for the party in power.

  2. Governance.For example, the response to the North Carolina hurricane, zero-dollar purchases, and the impact of illegal immigrants on neighborhoods will be in the regional or national spotlight.

  3. The apostasy of the "independent thinking" elite.The reason why the Democrats suddenly voted so much more in 2020 was because more people were "anti-Trump", not because they liked Biden, but because they couldn't stand the "verbal harassment" of a megaphone president who didn't have a brain.But not this time, because they realized that neither Biden nor Harris was any better.So they chose to "not vote".Two important swing states, PA and MI, had lower turnout than 2020.And the two swing states, WI and MI, both had independent candidates who exceeded the vote differential between the two.

It's been said that in 2020, 79 year old Biden didn't win the election on his own merits, even if it was a dog running for office.

In 2024 it's the opposite, the people who upvoted for the Democrats that year are abandoning them in droves, and the end is written, water can carry a boat as well as capsize it.

Musk is very good and very bullish, and I have a lot of respect for it, but Trump will still win without him.
