Holding long term positions but selling short term options premium is a great way to:

1. Offset time decay

2. Reduce risk

3. Lower cost

4. Earn weekly income

If it’s under a week and you’re in the money its rare but possible.

If this ever happens, you get the benefit of rolling it to a later expiry selling the following week or later at a further away strike for the same cost or more
