I must admit that Wilmar is in difficult business time because the China market macro economy is worsening and business profits margins are dropping. I don't foresee any improvement in the short term. The weak outlook gives a big discount on stock prices. I used to buy stock at the left side.

I hold $Wilmar Intl(F34.SI)$ for long term investment. I focus more on passive income, it presents a 5.4 % dividend yield. I don't really care about it up or down in the short term. Singapore saving bonds and T bill interest yield is about 3%. Wilmar is a trusted company, I observed it for years.

What about bank stocks? Bank stocks are milking up SG reits.

According to the last reported balance sheet, Wilmar International had liabilities of US$25.2b due within 12 months, and liabilities of US$8.25b due beyond 12 months. Offsetting this, it had US$10.4b in cash and US$5.63b in receivables that were due within 12 months. So its liabilities outweigh the sum of its cash and (near-term) receivables by US$17.4b.
