I’ve been feeling quite low lately, both physically and emotionally. It all started with abnormal monthly symphony heavy flow that led to anemia, and things escalated when I was hospitalized for leukopenia due to a critically low neutrophil count. I suspect the turning point was an infection after a fall during my daily jog, which left my elbow and knees injured.

Following the fall, I developed a slight fever and visited a clinic. The doctor prescribed Panadol, but the fever didn’t subside. On a second visit, I was given antibiotics and an injection, yet my symptoms persisted for the next few days.

By the fifth day, my condition worsened—I experienced fever, chills, a rapid heart rate, and eventually lost consciousness. I was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, marking the first time in my life I had to be hospitalized. I spent about five days there.

Now, I’m on a regimen of iron pills and antibiotics, but recovery has been a challenge. I’ve been struggling to keep food down and often vomit after meals. I’ve never been this ill before. The worst I can recall was battling chickenpox in Primary 4, but even that feels minor compared to this ordeal. At times, I can’t help but feel I’m too young to face something so severe.

If my health permits, I hope to resume researching stocks and writing about the Chinese economy. However, for now, I might not be as active in the market. This experience has been a humbling reminder that while financial success is important, nothing outweighs the value of good health. Wishing all my followers and readers good health and continued prosperity.

Best wishes byS
