WASHINGTON - US President Donald Trump on March 26 announced plans for long-promised tariffs of up to 25 per cent on automotive imports, widening the global trade war he kicked off upon regaining the White House this year in a move auto industry experts expect will drive up prices and stymie production.

Tesla will probably not be taxed in the US. But this will also mean that the countries that will be hit by this new car tariff will target Tesla as it us now synonymous with the Trump administration.
This won't be net neutral. As it is, many Americans are boycotting Elon Musk. Now, much of the rest of the world will effectively ban Teska too.
