Options Market Statistics: Netflix To Buy Warner Bros Discovery


$Netflix(NFLX)$   saw increased activity, moving up the ranks with a neutral put/call ratio of 0.61 and a low IV rank of 18.92%, suggesting steady positioning as volume totaled 1.27 million contracts against 6.54 million in open interest. The streaming company said it would buy $Warner Bros. Discovery(WBD)$   for $72 billion after it splits its studios and HBO Max streaming business from its cable networks. Shares of Netflix fell 2.9% while Warner Bros. ended the session 6.3% higher.


$SoFi Technologies Inc.(SOFI)$   appeared on the active list with a neutral put/call ratio of 0.57 and a moderate IV rank of 19.55%, indicating sustained trader attention as volume reached 1.05 million contracts versus 4.32 million in open interest. Shares declined 6.2% on Friday. The fintech unveiled an offering of $1.5 billion worth of common shares after the bell Thursday, saying it plans to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes.


$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$   emerged as a new entrant with a bullish-leaning put/call ratio of 0.51 and an IV rank of 24.54%, reflecting active positioning in calls as volume hit 0.70 million contracts against 3.82 million in open interest.
