Another Short Squeeze

$Intel(INTC)$

This time, Intel is the star of the short squeeze. Last week, I warned everyone not to sell naked calls.

The consequence of a month-long consolidation and trading below 90 is that a large number of Sell Calls accumulated at four strike levels: 95, 100, 105, and 110. After all, there wasn't much expectation of a rally before the September 18 Triple Witching. But then Tuesday's pre-market gap-up broke through 100 — a sudden squeeze.

It also broke above 105 intraday. At this point, it looks like it may challenge the 110 resistance level. Probably similar to NVIDIA — breaking through the 230 resistance before pulling back. In other words, INTC will likely break through 110 before a pullback.

On the options front, large at-the-money Sell Put block trades typically signal strong trend momentum. The October 2-expiry 95 Put $INTC 20261002 95.0 PUT$ had a 5,000-contract Sell Put block trade executed. Even after today's 9% surge, it still offers a 42% annualized yield.

$NVIDIA(NVDA)$

The consequence of breaking above 230 intraday on Friday is that institutions' Bear Call Spread strategies have been rolled up to the 250–260 range $NVDA 20260911 250.0 CALL$ .

This week, watch whether the pullback can stabilize at 225 or 220 — that would be a good Sell Put opportunity $NVDA 20260918 210.0 PUT$.

$SK hynix(SKHY)$

The catalyst for this short squeeze was the impressive debut of GPT-6 Astra, which reignited imagination around compute expansion. However, inflation is genuinely capping the broader market's upside, making today's market action look particularly odd.

Hynix, like INTC and NVDA, may break above its previous high before pulling back. Consider selling the 160 Put $SKHY 20260918 160.0 PUT$.

$SpaceX(SPCX)$

SPCX data centers also benefit from the bullish narrative of rising compute pricing. The stock is steadily climbing along the 20-day MA, with the gap between call and put strike prices narrowing. Volatility, however, remains high — making it suitable for Sell Put strategies $SPCX 20260918 140.0 PUT$.

$iShares Bitcoin Trust(IBIT)$

Call openings look a bit unusual — there's also a hint of a short-squeeze dynamic. It feels like Bitcoin may not necessarily drop after Friday's CPI data release.
