Good morning, tigers ☕️📈
Yesterday I talked about trading resources, and the post did really well.
But none of that matters if you’re losing the battle against your own mind.
The first battle for retail traders was against big-money institutions.
I think there’s a new one now 👀
Retail vs the platforms.
Trading apps are built to keep you active. Notifications, flashing prices, confetti, rewards, 24/7 access... the more you trade, the more opportunities there are to monetize your activity.
So how do you fight the urge to gamble?
Here are 4 things I’d actually do:
1️⃣ Build discipline outside the markets
You don't suddenly become disciplined when your portfolio is on the line.
Practice it everywhere.
Do something genuinely hard and track your progress.
🏃 Marathon
📚 Learn a language
🥗 Follow a strict diet
💪 75 Hard
🚫 No sports betting for a season
The point isn't the challenge itself.
It's proving to yourself that an impulse doesn't have to control your behavior.
2️⃣ Study other high-performance fields
Sports psychology changed the way I think about trading.
Pressure. Decision-making. Mental toughness. Reviewing mistakes. Performing when the scoreboard is right in front of you.
And it doesn't have to be sports.
♟️ Chess
♠️ Poker
🏆 Entrepreneurship
🎖️ Military
There are lessons everywhere if you look outside the markets.
3️⃣ Remove the weapons 🔒
If you repeatedly blow yourself up with leverage, options or shorting, why keep those tools sitting one click away?
Call your broker.
Disable options.
Remove margin.
Disable short-selling.
Limit yourself to common stock.
Sounds extreme?
Good.
If a certain tool keeps triggering destructive behavior, make access harder while you rebuild your habits.
4️⃣ Stop playing their game 🎮
This one might be the biggest.
You don't have to open the app every five minutes.
You don't have to trade because the market is open.
You don't have to react to every alert.
You don't even have to participate every day.
Your edge might simply be doing less.
Platforms benefit from activity.
Retail traders benefit from selectivity.
That distinction matters.
And no, none of this is easy.
You’re going to lose battles with your own mind sometimes.
The goal is to make sure you don't lose the battles that actually matter. 🧠
If you're fighting this right now, you're not alone.

When markets keep you watching, knowing when to switch off matters too.
A strong U.S. jobs report has put rates back in focus, with this week’s CPI data set to be another key market mover — keeping overnight trading firmly on investors’ radar. The new Night Trading Dollar Eye Mask is soft, lightweight and comfortable, made for quick breaks between market moves, power naps or long-haul travel — so you can switch off, recharge and come back ready for what’s next.
Redeem the new Night Trading Dollar Eye Mask in Tiger Coin Mall. Keep an eye on the market — and give your eyes a break.
