🔥 AI's Next Wave: Why HPE (+12.4%) & Dell (+12%) Just Outperformed NVIDIA

🔥 AI's real strength isn't just NVIDIA—it's the full-stack server builders: HPE +12.4%, Dell +12%. Capital is starting to flow into the second layer of AI infrastructure.

$Dell Technologies Inc.(DELL)$

$Hewlett Packard Enterprise(HPE)$

$Arista Networks(ANET)$

$SUPER MICRO COMPUTER INC(SMCI)$

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE)jumped 12.44% to US$62.09, becoming one of the top performers in the S&P 500.

Dell Technologies (DELL) also rose about 11.98% to US$567.29.

Arista Networks (ANET) gained about 5.61%.

Capital is clearly no longer chasing just GPUs.

Servers, networking, and enterprise infrastructure are all being bought up together.

In its latest quarterly report, Dell's AI-Optimized Server Revenue hit US$16.4B, doubling year-over-year.

The company has also raised its AI server revenue expectation for the current fiscal year from US60B to US74B.

The catalyst driving yesterday's heavy buying in Dell and HPE? Oracle's latest earnings, which further reinforced market confidence in AI data center spending.

A Reuters report on September 11 also pointed out that Oracle's strong results fueled a massive rally in Dell and HPE.

This isn't just a random pump for a single company.

The market is starting to price in a more complete supply chain:

Cloud providers expand AI capacity

Need NVIDIA / AMD GPUs

GPUs must be built into complete server racks

Also require networking, storage, and cooling

Dell / HPE / Arista start capturing orders

As AI data centers enter mass construction, clients can't just buy a single GPU and leave it sitting there.

What they ultimately need is a fully operational, integrated system.

So the market is starting to ask:

"Besides GPUs, who is actually turning AI capex into revenue?"

This is likely why HPE and Dell significantly outperformed NVIDIA itself.

Things to keep in mind:

⚠️ This is market interpretation, not confirmation of a permanent capital rotation away from NVIDIA. A single day's gain isn't enough to prove a long-term trend shift.

📈 The Bull Case:

If Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, Google, Oracle, and a growing number of sovereign AI projects continue expanding data centers, demand for servers, networking, power, and cooling should theoretically rise right along with it.

The scope of AI infrastructure beneficiaries expands from:

GPUs → The entire data center supply chain.

📉 The Risks:

Server business competition is typically much fiercer than the GPU market.

High revenue doesn't automatically mean high margins.

Because AI servers require purchasing extremely expensive GPUs, if Dell and HPE cannot continuously raise their system-level value-add,

we could end up seeing massive orders and great revenue growth, but margins that don't scale at the same pace.

Another detail worth watching:

It wasn't just servers yesterday.

Arista was up 5.61%, and several power infrastructure stocks also strengthened.

This shows the market is willing to trade the entire AI data center buildout chain, rather than just buying the top-tier chip designers.
