AI stocks keep pushing the Nasdaq to records.
But the next question is becoming more important:
Who actually has the infrastructure to support all that computing demand?
That puts $APPLIED DIGITAL CORP(APLD)$ on my radar.
APLD is an AI infrastructure play focused on building and operating high-performance data centres. The story is less about flashy AI applications and more about the physical infrastructure needed to power them.
And this week brings an important test.
APLD is scheduled to report earnings Wednesday, with analysts expecting revenue to jump sharply year over year.
That creates a simple setup:
📈 Bull case: Rapid revenue growth and expanding AI infrastructure demand could reinforce the long-term growth story.
⚠️ Risk: Expectations are already high, and strong revenue growth doesn’t automatically mean strong profits or cash flow.
The market will be watching more than the headline EPS number.
I’ll be looking for three things:
1. Revenue growth — Is demand accelerating?
2. Data-centre capacity — How quickly can APLD bring new capacity online?
3. The outlook — Does management see enough demand to justify continued expansion?
That’s what makes APLD interesting right now.
It’s not just another AI stock.
It’s a bet on the infrastructure underneath the AI boom.
And with earnings approaching, the market is about to get a fresh look at whether that story is translating into real numbers.
