That is the read why India is preventing Starlink access... imagine only US allow Starlink access in the future, Starlink would be reduced to a useless piece of satellite junk concentrated only in US space... however knowing the Trump administration wanting to control every countries, those other orbiting satellites would reduced to spyware 🕵️ for the US military... What an irony that would be for Elon Musk and his fancy dream. China would do what it did for Tesla, welcoming Tesla with open arms 🤗 and beat it on its own game... the cycle repeats for SpaceX... our space will no longer be safe with these two competing forces spying 🕵️‍♂️ everyone else. Having said that, I rather have two competing forces rather being subject to bullying by a single tyrant.

China 🇨🇳 is very good in doing what they have set up to do. They might be way behind SpaceX now in terms of launching cost. Throw enough money at it with an already readymade solution proven by SpaceX is something of a strength in Chinese engineering. Like Tesla, I expect SpaceX to run into similar challenges in 5 or less years.

Enjoy your SpaceX ride while you can. It's priced for the future... but the future might not be as assured as what the analysts perceived. BYD is the best proof of what China can do to Tesla. That's also the very reason Tesla needs to move away from its very foundational strength in cost control.
