Market Outlook: Semiconductors and Tech Face Pressure as Small Caps Lead the Rotation

The market is showing a clear divergence: semiconductor and mega-cap tech rebounds are struggling, while small caps continue to gain ground.

🔻 $VanEck Semiconductor ETF(SMH)$ — Bearish Pressure Remains

Price stalled below the 20-day moving average (20DMA), leaving two open gaps at 559 and 545.

Those levels remain potential downside targets and keep the bearish setup in play.

For bulls, a move down to fill those gaps could create a cleaner foundation for a rebound.

⚠️ $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ — 711 Is the Key Level

Tech stocks remain under pressure, with the latest bounce failing to reclaim the 20DMA.

The 711 level is the key support to defend this week. Holding it could preserve the current consolidation; losing it would increase the risk of a deeper breakdown.

All eyes are on $AMZN earnings after the bell. The results could influence whether the Nasdaq 100 ($NDX) stabilizes or extends its decline.

🟢 $iShares Russell 2000 ETF(IWM)$ — Small Caps Take the Lead

The market rotation is becoming increasingly visible.

Small caps have gained approximately 3% this week, while the price action does not yet look excessively overbought.

The 281 level could act as near-term resistance, but both daily and weekly technical setups remain bullish.
