I'm not comfortable with articles always talking about "only invest money you can afford to lose". Why do I want to invest my money with the thinking that I would lose it, then might as well not invest. It's more palatable if they write about "only invest money you don't need to use in the next x years".

      Agree, accepting risk is part of the game. But if I think I’m going to lose it all, then there’s no point investing. Will only invest in gd coys that could appreciate over a longer-term horizon.
