My Tiger Story

1. Why did I choose Tiger?

Tiger has an attractive app, featuring the Tiger's tail, which is very daring and unique. Tiger Brokers has the many important features such as a good watchlist, interactive community, relevant news and user friendly trading. The Tiger mascot graphics are funny, cute and brighten up the app. Tiger is very generous to offer sign-up perks, offer contests and campaigns, and award daily Tiger coins for completing various activities. The coins redemption also offer the highly popular stock vouchers. Overall, Tiger has exceeded my expectation of a Broker.

2. What was my first post?

My first memorable post was in April 2022, whereby I shared my Q1 2022 investments made, my returns for Q1 2022, and my investment plan for the rest of the year. I am still sticking to my bond ladder building plan, such as a mixture of 6 months & 1 year T-Bills, SGS 2 years and 5 years bonds, as well as considering to purchase any investment grade retail bond that are offered to public along the way.

3. What was the first stock I like/ traded?

The first stock that I like and traded, is Apple (USA), and SingTel (Singapore). I find it easy and more willing to invest/trade in companies that we personally like. Sometimes, we often discover and read up more on other companies that are competitors, customers, and suppliers of our favourite stock.

Investment is a life long learning journey - it is like a university degree where you don't know when you will graduate.
