I was at the gas station today filling up the car. I can only assume that the good folk working were warming up for a Top Gun 2 viewing as 'Take My Breath Away', the song synonymous with the first movie, was being blasted out across the forecourt. I imagined for a moment our late model Mazda was an F14 on the flight deck. But a glance at the pump and dollars ticking over brought me back to earth...faster than poor old Goose!
I paid for my fuel and jumped back in the car. My son, the same 10-year-old who yesterday was reflecting on the lack of excitement in international relations now that the Donald has exited, turned to me and said. 'Do you know what took my breath away Dad...how much it cost to fill up the car'. He then went on to provide some explanation on why oil prices were so high.
Now I love a good meme; after all a picture paints a thousand words. And I think this sums up the situation nicely!
