My Christmas stock is Bernard Arnault, CEO, LVMH - World Richest Man

For the past 2 years, most investors have staked their bottom dollar on $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ owner - mr elon musk - World riches man.

The time has come to past. He has been displaced permanently from the pole position.

The newly crowned World Richest magnate is Mr Bernard Arnault, Chairman of $LVMH-Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton(LVMUY)$ - World largest luxury conglomerate.

This Business empire knows no boundaries. Just to name a few of the group's well diversified businesses :

• Moet & Chandon (spirit)
• Hennessy (spirit)
• Louis Vuitton (fashion)
• Dior (fashion)
• Hublot (watches)
• TAG Heur (watches)
• Bulgari (fine jewelry)
• Tiffany (fine jewelry)
• Rimova (lifestyle)
• Sephora (lifestyle)
• Charles & Keith (fashion) - Yes. They are a partial owner of C&W.

If we were to draw similarities between Mr Arnault & mr musk, both have a diverse group of businesses.

Mr musk businesses included SpaceX, Neuralink, The Boring Company and of course the crown jewel - Twitter.

But that's where the similarities end.

Not all of mr musk ventures are money spinning except for Tesla & SpaceX.

What is there not to like about LVMH as a Luxury Business ? 

• Its historical earnings speaks for itself; except for year 2020 when the widespread pandemic resulted in lockdowns and borders closure (see below historical earnings).

• Its hitting the roof with an unprecendent +28% YoY growth at 56.5 billion Euros (US$54.9 billion) for the first 9 months of 2022.

• LVMH's ability to adjust prices of its Luxury fashion & goods annually or bi-annually. and for as high as +12% (for selected leather bags) is simply unbelievable.
• Despite the price hikes across all its fashion brands, demand remains as strong as ever !
• Media & Fashion portals never fail to alert fans all over the world in advance and there will be a stampede by fashion fanatics, rushing out to buy their dream-bags before the price hike.

With impending recession in 2023, LVMH will be affected no ?

• Based on report, it is anticipated that the Luxury sector is expected to see further growth & expansion in 2023; despite economic turbulence.
• This would definitely be music to the ears of shareholders no ?
