BYD has continued to expand its production with the latest 400,000 annual production plant ready in ZhengZhou. BYD’s Q4 net profits have gone up 10x YoY with the aim to be the biggest automaker in China by end of 2023. For 2023, BYD aims to sell at least 3 million units. At the same time, there are new models being introduced to meet the needs of different market demographics.
We continue to see good growth in sales of their various models. At the same time, BYD is keeping pace with the top EV battery maker CATL. BYD continues to grow internationally but there are concerns about a coming global recession.
