$AAL 20221028 14.0 CALL$ Lesson from $American Airlines(AAL)$#earnings:

Having an excellent quarterly earnings performance isn't enough if commentary doesn't support forward sustainability of the performance. For AAL, their almost 💯 increase in fuel cost from 2019 levels and their statement of intent to increase capacity to 2019 levels by next year seems to erode shareholders' confidence.This was the outcome as well of yesterday's other earnings announcement from Alaskan Airlines.  Surprisingly to me though, this outlook isn't unique and $United Continental(UAL)$shared similately as well during their earnings but seem less affected..

Which leads me to my second learning, "Don'tfight the market". Truss resignation started positively for the market but seemed to drop off as the day wore on, and eventually fears of future outlook seemed to be the predominant market sentiment. 

Not sure if holding on is the right decision, looking forward to seeing how market opens today[Sly] [Bless]
