Chinese stocks start bull market

I hope that Chinese stocks start a  bull market today.  $LION OCBC HSTECH ETF S$(HST.SI)$ risen 7%, $TRACKER FUND OF HONG KONG(02800)$ also went up 4%. $HUATAI-PINEBRIDGE CSI 300 INDEX TRADING SECURITIES INVESTMENT FUND(510300)$ up 3% I have bought 02800 16 times since 2022, each time 1000 shares. And I haven't sold out it single shares. Those solid blue chips company, low P/E and high dividend yield. I have confidence on them. There's another 3 working days before Chinese New year. I wished all retail investors have a pleasant holiday. Everyone have enough cash for family reunion dinner and ๐Ÿงง !

3% paper loss in January 2024

I got 3% paper loss in January 2024. It was ok, but felt very bad.  The Chinese stock market was so disappointing. The government introduced intensive measures to rescue the market, which resulted in a stock market crash. The key is that A-share and Hong Kong stocks have been falling for several years, and the valuation and dividends are attractive. There is nothing to say.   Just wait for dividends to be announced in February annual report season. My portfolio consists of dividend stocks. The market value fluctuates which is not a matter, and the cash flow generated by the dividend is king in my case. $Daiwa Hse Log Tr(DHLU.SI)$   $CHINA EVERBRIGHT WATER LIMITED(U9E.SI)$   <

Weekly | Policy stimulus led Hong Kong stocks bottom up!

The past week was a thrilling one. Last Monday, the $HSI(HSI)$ plunged by 2.27%, breaking below the 15,000-point mark and hitting a low of 14,794 points. It was just inches away from the lowest value of 14,597 in October 2022!But then came a series of positive factors that lifted the market's spirits. Bloomberg reported last Tuesday that China is considering introducing policies to stabilize the stock market, and some measures are expected to be introduced as soon as this week, including raising about 2 trillion yuan of stabilization funds, which will be mainly funded by institutions outside of China, and invested in A-share through Shanghai and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect.Last Wednesday, the People's Bank of China announced that it has decide

China state-owned enterprises valuation

On January 23, Yi Huiman, chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, mentioned the state-owned company valuation again. He pointed out that we must make every effort to maintain the stable operation of the capital market, vigorously improve the quality and investment value of listed companies, and build a valuation system for listed companies with Chinese characteristics. The core driver of China Special Appraisal is the reform of state-owned enterprises. Improving the ability to pay dividends and profits is the ultimate goal. Improving ROE is a necessary condition. Improving ROE can be divided into two ways: internal potential tapping and external mergers and acquisitions. Alibaba, BABA, is always a buy for me when the stock hits 70 to 72. BABA is a good Chinese stock play as it is the Amazon, AMZN, of China, if not better.  The past few trading sessions saw BABA prices fluctuating bewteen 70 to 76. I would always watch for the price to come down to the low 70s and then scalped off profits as it curls up. Tis stock does have good momentum and day trading for profits is possible. When the price hits 70 and below, I would  buy up for my long term account as BABA would rise when good times return for sure. Meanwhile, do buy on the dips and play along as price creeps up and scalp for profits.

Buying own company shares is good but we as an investor we need to know what type of investor we are at the first place.  if you are value investor focusing on company's fundamental and go for long term with high conviction, then, you have done your study with a game plan.   In my opinion, his current buying shares is not really able to determine a long term strategy yet.   I can imagine there are traders going to ride on this short term trend.   What is your investing mindset and style?

It is a great stock to have n hold, needs a little more time to rebound. Still solid co w good moat, for sure competition is there which it will only make it stronger. With Jack buying his own Co stocks, it says much right?  Run ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ baba!

It's low enough to make a good bet that it will likely to go up than to go down anymore
Now the "face" of $Alibaba(BABA)$  is making an appearance which makes one think if they are trying to stir the market [Thinking]  [Thinking]  [Thinking]  perhaps they want more control of the company and starts buying back shares... Whatever the reason,  I think $Alibaba(BABA)$  is still a company that one can monitor and put on watchlist... @Aqa  @koolgal  @GoodLife99  @Universeๅฎ‡ๅฎ™  <

Is a good time to buy due to valuations and not because who bought. The people u mentioned have plenty of money. If Spending $200M can prob up the stock by making retailer investors fomo it's a small price to pay but I don't think that is the reason they bought it. As for china stimulus... its peanut. USD$200B can't do anything to the market.

$Alibaba(BABA)$  My overall sentiment regarding the Chinese market remains unchanged. The news about buying $200 million worth of Alibaba shares is insignificant when compared to the substantial $6 trillion market erosion since 2021, signifying a deep-seated anxieties about China's economic outlook. This extends beyond individual company news. Investor confidence won't fully restore until underlying issues like property market struggles, deflation, workforce contraction, and broader sentiment problems are addressed. Investors require concrete evidence of improvement, not just temporary media buzz. @CaptainTiger

1 WORD - BUY.........
$Alibaba(BABA)$  This company is like Amazon version on China. It is a multi billion company with so high revenue and high profit. The company is so cash rich that can easily aquire company  that they want. I had been buying this company share for quite certain amount.  I strongly believe Alibaba share price will go more than $100 in year 2024. Give me a like if u agree with me.  @LMSunshine  @Fenger1188  @LIULIULIU  @Jojo0199
Without the US institutionals big money inflow, it's highly unlikely this rally is sustainable. I do no see how BABA can go beyond 100 in near term.
