It is not known when the upgraded device will be available to retailers, as there was no comment from Square on this report.
\n
The new point-of-sale terminal enhances the existing Square Stand model by incorporating tap-to-pay technology. Currently, the Square Stand runs on a magnetic strip reader, but needs a separate device to accept phone or credit card payments. The updated version of the Square Stand makes the payment process more seamless. (See Square stock chart on TipRanks)
\n
Per Bloomberg, iOS developer Steve Moser discovered that files inside Square’s iPhone and iPad compatible app reveal the blueprint of a device redesigned to fit an iPad and a tap-to-pay sensor together. Moreover, a few codes alongside the drawings also suggest the presence of a built-in card chip reader in the terminal.
\n
Moser also found codes of Square’s unannounced plans for business checking and savings accounts, which it had revealed earlier.
\n
Recently, D.A. Davidson analyst Chris Brendler reiterated a Buy rating on the stock with a price target of $275, implying a 13.9% upside potential to current levels.
\n
Brendler expects revenues for Square’s Seller app for businesses to outpace consensus estimates in the second quarter of 2021. It is not known when the upgraded device will be available to retailers, as there was no comment from Square on this report.\nThe new point-of-sale terminal enhances the existing Square Stand model by incorporating tap-to-pay technology. Currently, the Square Stand runs on a magnetic strip reader, but needs a separate device to accept phone or credit card payments. The updated version of the Square Stand makes the payment process more seamless. (See Square stock chart on TipRanks)\nPer Bloomberg, iOS developer Steve Moser discovered that files inside Square’s iPhone and iPad compatible app reveal the blueprint of a device redesigned to fit an iPad and a tap-to-pay sensor together. Moreover, a few codes alongside the drawings also suggest the presence of a built-in card chip reader in the terminal.\nMoser also found codes of Square’s unannounced plans for business checking and savings accounts, which it had revealed earlier.\nRecently, D.A. Davidson analyst Chris Brendler reiterated a Buy rating on the stock with a price target of $275, implying a 13.9% upside potential to current levels.\nBrendler expects revenues for Square’s Seller app for businesses to outpace consensus estimates in the second quarter of 2021. While analysts predict that payment volume on the app will rise 64% year over year, that would actually be a drop from the growth rate in the first quarter, Brendler pointed out.\nConsensus among analysts is a Moderate Buy based on 17 Buys, 5 Holds, and 1 Sell. Four such shares represent one class A ordinary share. The company announced on Wednesday morning that it had increased the size of the deal; it had planned on offering 288 million shares.
\n
At $14 a share, Didi would have a $67 billion market capitalization. On a fully diluted basis, Didi’s valuation rises to about $73 billion
\n
The Beijing company has raised $4 billion in the offering. The shares will start trading on Wednesday on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker DIDI.
\n
Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and J.P. Morgan are the underwriters on the Didi offering.
\n
Didi provides a smartphone app that lets users connect with vehicles and taxis for hire. Founded in 2012, it operates in nearly 4,000 cities, counties, and towns across 16 countries, its prospectus said. It had more than 493 million annual active users as of March 31.
\n
Its relationship with Uber is complicated
\n
Comparisons between the world’s top two ride-hailing companies could become more frequent as Didi goes public in the United States.
\n
In its filing, Didi said it has hundreds of millions of riders in China and operates in 16 countries and nearly 4,000 cities. Besides ride hailing, its new services include intra-city freight, community group buying and food delivery.
\n
In its 2020 annual report, San Francisco-based Uber said that as of Dec. 31, 2020, it operated in 71 countries and about 10,000 cities. Uber offers rides, delivery and freight. Although it unloaded its autonomous-vehicle business last year, it has a partnership with self-driving company Aurora Technologies.
\n
One thing Didi has in common with Uber (and smaller rival Lyft) is that it has also been mostly unprofitable. But it did turn a profit in the first quarter, reporting net income of 5.49 billion rembini ($837 million) on revenue of RMB 42.16 billion ($6.44 billion), up from a loss of RMB 3.97 billion on sales of RMB 20.47 billion the year before. That profit was largely due to its investments.
\n
After a battle in which Didi and Uber lost a lot of money as they tried to undercut each other in China, Uber sold its Chinese business to Didi for $7 billion in 2016. Uber’s CEO at the time, Travis Kalanick, wrote in a blog post announcing the deal: “Uber and Didi Chuxing are investing billions of dollars in China and both companies have yet to turn a profit there.”
\n
Uber retained a 12.8% stake in Didi, though, which will be reduced to a 12% stake after the IPO. That’s the second-largest stake in the company behind SoftBank Group’s 21.5% in equity ahead of the IPO. At the midpoint of Didi’s expected selling price, the number of shares Uber holds could be worth about $1.94 billion.
\n
Didi sold all the shares it held in Uber last year for a gain of RMB 2.8 million ($427,417), according to its filing.
\n
Insiders will have control
\n
Following the trend of many recent IPOs, especially in the tech world, Didi will have a dual-class stock structure. Each Class A share (equal to four ADS) will have one vote, and each Class B share will have 10 votes.
\n
Founder and Chief Executive Will Wei Cheng, co-founder and President Jean Qing Liu and CEO of the international business group Stephen Jingshi Zhu, who all sit on the board, will own all issued and outstanding Class B ordinary shares. These shares will comprise 9.8% of the company’s total issued shares and 52% of the voting power immediately after the public offering.
\n
Cheng, 38, is also the chairman of the board. The former Alibaba and Alipay manager will have 6.5% equity in the company but 35.5% of the voting power after the IPO.
\n
Cheng brought on Liu two years after he founded Didi. The Nasdaq advanced, after the disappointing economic data appeared to make a case for monetary policy to stay on hold and interest rates to stay low, supporting tech and growth stocks. The S&P 500 ticked higher. Treasury yields sank, with the 10-year yield tumbling to below 1.55%.

The Labor Department said nonfarm payrolls increased by just 266,000 in April, far less than the 1 million total economists were expecting, according to Dow Jones. The unemployment rate rose to 6.1% last month amid an escalating shortage of available workers, higher than an expectation of 5.8%. Meanwhile, March's originally estimated total of 916,000 was revised down to 770,000.

The 10-year Treasury yield dropped 5 basis points (1 basis point is 0.01%) following the report, trigging the volatile market reaction and the rotation by investors.

On one hand, the report lowered expectations for the pandemic economic recovery and caused investors to dump shares most leveraged to the comeback. Goldman and Bank of America shares fell in the premarket, weighing on sentiment for the Dow.

On the other hand, the lower rates caused tech shares to jump in response, boosting sentiment for S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures. Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, Alphabet, and Apple all jumped more than 1% in early trading.

This re-establishes a pattern seen earlier in the year where growth stocks moved inversely to interest rates. There are a few factors at play. When rates rise, investors have been dumping tech stock pandemic winners in favor of stocks more leveraged to the growing economy like banks. What's more, investors believe higher rates will hit growth stocks the most since they reduce the value of their future earnings. So now with rates dropping again on Friday, investors saw it safe to go back into tech stocks.

Bank of America research warned as recently as Fridaythat strong economic data could hit stocks, especially tech shares, if it caused the Federal Reserve to dial back on its easy monetary policies. But after that weak jobs report, that doesn't seem to be a concern and the Fed can keep the low rates and bond buying in place.

\"The Fed will feel some vindication in their hesitancy to embrace tapering,\" Adam Crisafulli, founder of Vital Knowledge, said in a note following the jobs report Friday.

Still, the disappointing jobs number poured cold water on many economists who estimated a sharp rebound in job growth. Goldman Sachs economists expected a total of 1.3 million jobs to have been added in April.

It also cast doubt on whether the economy could pull off a full recovery from the pandemic as quickly as many expect. Some economists are forecasting double-digit growth in the current quarter after gross domestic product rose at a 6.4% annualized pace in the first quarter. The Dow hit another record on Thursday on expectations for a booming economy.

\"It was a disappointing read on job creation and brings into question the assumption that Q2 is going to carry-forward the positive momentum established at the beginning of the year,\" Ian Lyngen, head of U.S. rates at BMO, said in a note.

Shares of Roku rallied more than 8% in premarket trading after the streaming company blew past expectations with its first-quarter results. Roku posted adjusted earnings of 54 cents per share, compared to an estimated loss of 13 cents per share, according to Refinitiv. Revenue rose 79% from a year ago and exceeded expectations.

On Thursday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 318 points, or 0.9%, to close near its session high and clinch a record close of 34,548.53. Do These 4 Things Now","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2133387578","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"Stock market downturns can be daunting. Here's what you need to do to prepare.","content":"
When will the stock market crash? That's the big question on many investors' minds at a time when stocks are, across the board, pretty overvalued. In fact, if the stock market doesn't tank completely in the near term, investors should at the very least begin bracing for a correction, where stock values drop 10% or more.
\n
Of course, the idea of a stock market crash can be very scary, especially if you're a newer investor and you haven't experienced one before. But rather than allow yourself to get spooked, you're better off taking action. Here are a few crucial moves to make if you're worried that May is when the stock market will finally take a major turn for the worse.
\n
1. Pad your emergency savings
\n
What does the amount of money you have in the bank have to do with your stock portfolio? A lot, actually. If you secure your emergency fund so you have ample cash to cover unplanned expenses, you won't have to tap your investments out of desperation. That could, in turn, prevent you from needing to liquidate stocks at a time when their value has dropped substantially.
\n
2. Diversify
\n
A diverse portfolio could help you ride out a stock market crash, so if you're heavily invested in one or two market segments right now, take the opportunity to branch out -- before things take a turn for the worse. Diversifying could simply mean buying stocks in sectors you're not currently invested in. Or you could load up on some index funds or exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that give you access to the broader market. For example, if you invest in an S&P 500 index fund or ETF, you'll effectively be putting money into the 500 largest publicly traded companies on the market. It doesn't get much more diverse than that.
\n
3. Add dividend stocks to your portfolio
\n
Companies that pay dividends tend to do so even when stock values are down. And that's a good way to hedge your bets. If your portfolio takes a hit, you can offset those losses with incoming dividend payments, and that's money you'll have the option to cash out and use as needed or reinvest.
\n
4. Stockpile some cash
\n
Market crashes tend to spell opportunity, and so it's important to have cash at the ready for when stocks go on sale. While your first priority should be to shore up your emergency fund, if you're also able to divert some extra cash to your brokerage account, you'll put yourself in a great position to pounce while stocks are temporarily discounted.
\n
Even if you're a seasoned investor who follows the market closely, you probably won't be able to predict exactly when the stock market will crash next. While a May crash is certainly possible, it's also certainly not a given. But rather than spin your wheels trying to determine when that crash is coming, you should instead focus your energy on checking off the boxes above. That way, you'll really be ready for whatever is ahead.
","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Think Stocks Will Crash in May? In fact, over the last year, BABA stock is up just a bit over 10%. That is nothing to write home about. But the truth is the stock is now very cheap, and likely to do much better over the next year.

This is especially true now that the Chinese e-commerce conglomerate, with a similar business model to Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), has weathered a lengthy review from Chinese regulators. On April 10, they accepted a $2.8 billion antitrust fine from the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) in the PRC. This is effectively a slap on the wrist, as the fine represents just 4% of its 2019 revenue.

Analysts were uniform in arguing that this is a relief for BABA stock. One analyst from HSBC pointed out that this would not affect its gross merchandise value(GMV). Apparently what riled regulators were actions from one of Alibaba’s “Tmall flagship stores that are directly operated by brands.” The point is its fundamental business model won’t be changed or affected.

Comparing Alibaba’s Valuation

In my previous article at the end of last year,I compared the valuation of Alibaba stock to Amazon. I found that Alibaba was very cheap, as its price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was one-third that of Amazon. This was the case even though both had similar price-to-sales ratios.

Well, the same is true today. For example, BABA stock has a forward P/E ratio (for 2021) of 22 times earnings (year ending March) and just 21 times for 2022, according toSeeking Alpha. Compare this to AMZN stock. Its 2021 forward 2021 P/E multiple (year ending December) is 70 times, and for 2022 is 50 times earnings. This means that Alibaba trades for under a third of the 2021 AMZN stock ratio and 42% of the 2022 ratio.

Moreover, Alibaba has similar, if not better, free cash flow (FCF) margins as compared to Amazon. For example, according toSeeking Alpha, during the last 12 months (LTM) ending in December 2020, Alibaba generated $27.148.02 billion on $98.686 billion, or a 27.5% FCF margin. But Amazon had $31.02 billion in FCF on $386.06 billion in revenue, or an 8% FCF margin. In other words, Alibaba has 3.4 times the FCF margins of Amazon.

What Alibaba Is Worth

So the Alibaba valuation is out of whack.

But maybe a 66% discount to the valuation is too much (i.e., the 2021 P/E valuation discount). For example, let’s assume there is just a 50% discount to the comparable 2021 P/E value (to account for the PRC discount) and a 40% discount to the 2022 valuation. That would give BABA stock a P/E ratio of 35 times for 2021 (i.e., 50% x 70 multiple) and a 30 times ratio for 2022 (i.e., 60% x 50 times).

As a result, the implied discounted 2021 valuation is$356.65 (i.e., $10.19 EPS for 2021 times 35 P/E) and $335.70 for 2022 (i.e., $11.19 2022 EPS x 30 P/E ratio). The average of these two target prices is $345.88 is still 50% above today’s price (April 20).

So, even after discounting Alibaba’s prospects by 50% for 2021 and 40% for 2022 (assuming the regulatory crackdown abates by then), the stock is still very cheap.

What to Do With BABA Stock

Many analysts fail to properly discount Alibaba’s valuation. They see the discrepancy with Amazon and other Western tech stocks and say this stock is worth three times more.

No one really knows where any of this regulatory scrutiny could end. It is a massive, volatile, uncertain, and potentially totally destructive risk for owners of BABA stock. The market is not blind to this risk, which is why the stock is so cheap. However, I do believe that the market has overdone the risk discounting. It seems likely now that the stock will rise assuming that the government scrutiny is over.

This could be a wild ride. Keep in mind that BABA stock carries huge risks, despite its massive profitability. Nevertheless, right now it looks like the stock is worth about 50% more, or $345.88 per share.
","source":"lsy1606302653667","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Alibaba Stock Could Rise 50% After the Regulatory Fine
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nAlibaba Stock Could Rise 50% After the Regulatory Fine\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-04-23 21:45 GMT+8 InvestorPlace\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
BABA stock is worth $345.88, 50% higher, even after a 50% discount due to China’s regulatory crackdownAlibaba (NYSE:BABA) stock has had a rough year, and had actually fallen 1.7% to $228.64 on April ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"09988":"阿里巴巴-W","BABA":"阿里巴巴"},"source_url":"https://investorplace.com/2021/04/baba-stock-is-worth-50-percent-more-at-345-88-despite-a-50-percent-prc-discount/","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1172227414","content_text":"BABA stock is worth $345.88, 50% higher, even after a 50% discount due to China’s regulatory crackdownAlibaba (NYSE:BABA) stock has had a rough year, and had actually fallen 1.7% to $228.64 on April 20 from its 2020 year-end close of $232.75.
While analysts predict that payment volume on the app will rise 64% year over year, that would actually be a drop from the growth rate in the first quarter, Brendler pointed out.
\n
Consensus among analysts is a Moderate Buy based on 17 Buys, 5 Holds, and 1 Sell. The average Square price target of $284.9 implies 18% upside potential to current levels.
\n

","source":"yahoofinance","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Square to Launch Compact iPad POS Terminal
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nSquare to Launch Compact iPad POS Terminal\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-07-14 21:20 GMT+8 SmarterAnalyst\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Square (SQ) is working on building an iPad payment terminal that will enable shoppers to access tap-to-pay more effortlessly, as reported by Bloomberg. The average Square price target of $284.9 implies 18% upside potential to current levels.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":591,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":104276561,"gmtCreate":1620396051053,"gmtModify":1704343100755,"author":{"id":"3551774684771060","authorId":"3551774684771060","name":"Pah","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5b5b681f0b883231cabb977bd211dbf1","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3551774684771060","authorIdStr":"3551774684771060"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Hope tech stocks will rise","listText":"Hope tech stocks will rise","text":"Hope tech stocks will rise","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/104276561","repostId":"1182447814","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":551,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":151869183,"gmtCreate":1625071898742,"gmtModify":1703735592224,"author":{"id":"3551774684771060","authorId":"3551774684771060","name":"Pah","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5b5b681f0b883231cabb977bd211dbf1","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3551774684771060","authorIdStr":"3551774684771060"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Great!","listText":"Great!","text":"Great!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/151869183","repostId":"1123487269","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1123487269","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1625071662,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1123487269?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-01 00:47","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Didi spikes 16% on its first day of trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1123487269","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Chinese ride-hailing giant Didi Global Inc.opened at $16.32 each on Wednesday, about 16% higher than","content":"
Chinese ride-hailing giant Didi Global Inc.opened at $16.32 each on Wednesday, about 16% higher than the company’s IPO price.
\n

\n
The Chinese ride-hailing behemoth on Wednesday said it sold 316.8 million American depositary shares at $14 each, the top of its $13 to $14 price range.
The former Alibaba and Alipay manager will have 6.5% equity in the company but 35.5% of the voting power after the IPO.
\n
Cheng brought on Liu two years after he founded Didi. She will have 1.6% equity in the company after the offering.
\n
The other top stakeholder in Didi besides its top executives, SoftBank and Uber is Tencent Holdings, which will have a 6.4% stake post-IPO.
\n
‘Darkest days’
\n
In summer 2018, two female passengers were killed by drivers on Didi’s Hitch platform. “These shook us to our core,” Cheng and Liu wrote in their founders’ letter under a section they called “Our darkest days.”
\n
They said the company changed how it onboarded drivers and expanded background checks, as well as redesigned its technology with safety in mind. Didi also established what it calls a “SWAT team” to respond to safety incidents. In places where it is allowed, the company has installed video cameras in its ride-hailing vehicles.
\n
The changes led to what the company said was “a massive drop in the number of criminal incidents per million rides on our platform as well as significant declines in the number of in-car disputes and traffic accidents.”
\n
The company says that although the number of incidents have gone down, safety remains a risk factor.
\n
Risk factors
\n
Other big risk factors for the company include the Chinese government’s recently stepped-up antitrust crackdown on tech companies, including Didi. In its filing, Didi said that while it has completed a self-inspection and has tried to correct or improve in certain areas, it can’t be sure the government will be satisfied with that.
\n
The company also said government regulators are concerned about driver income, pricing, and fairness to all platform participants, including riders and drivers. Like its biggest competitors, Didi treats its drivers as independent contractors, not employees. “Our business would be adversely affected if drivers were classified as employees, workers or quasi-employees,” Didi said in its filing.
\n
As for how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected and continues to affect Didi’s business, the company said its core platform’s gross transaction value fell 4.8% in 2020 compared with 2019. In China, its mobility business’ GTV decreased 6.6% in the same period, while international GTV actually rose 11.4%. Didi cited increasing coronavirus cases in certain parts of the world as continuing risk factors.
\n
Other businesses
\n
Didi says it has the world’s largest network of electric vehicles on its platform: 1 million, including hybrids, as of the end of last year. Those EVs account for nearly 40% of the electric vehicle miles traveled in China, the company said, citing a study it commissioned. Didi has designed an EV itself, called the D1. It also says it has built China’s largest charging network, with more than 30% market share of total public charging volume in the first quarter of 2021.
\n
As for autonomous vehicles, Didi says it has a team of more than 500 members working on Level 4 AVs for its fleet. The company said self-driving vehicles should help meet what it sees as increasing demand for ride-hailing services.
\n
“The global mobility market is expected to reach $16.4 trillion by 2040, by which time the penetration of shared mobility and electric vehicles is expected to have increased to 23.6% and 29.3%, respectively,” it said in its filing, citing research it commissioned.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Didi spikes 16% on its first day of trading
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nDidi spikes 16% on its first day of trading\n
\n\n
\n\n\n\n\n\n

\n\n
\n
Tiger Newspress
\n
2021-07-01 00:47
\n
\n\n\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
Chinese ride-hailing giant Didi Global Inc.opened at $16.32 each on Wednesday, about 16% higher than the company’s IPO price.
\n

\n
The Chinese ride-hailing behemoth on Wednesday said it sold 316.8 million American depositary shares at $14 each, the top of its $13 to $14 price range. She will have 1.6% equity in the company after the offering.\nThe other top stakeholder in Didi besides its top executives, SoftBank and Uber is Tencent Holdings, which will have a 6.4% stake post-IPO.\n‘Darkest days’\nIn summer 2018, two female passengers were killed by drivers on Didi’s Hitch platform. “These shook us to our core,” Cheng and Liu wrote in their founders’ letter under a section they called “Our darkest days.”\nThey said the company changed how it onboarded drivers and expanded background checks, as well as redesigned its technology with safety in mind. Didi also established what it calls a “SWAT team” to respond to safety incidents. In places where it is allowed, the company has installed video cameras in its ride-hailing vehicles.\nThe changes led to what the company said was “a massive drop in the number of criminal incidents per million rides on our platform as well as significant declines in the number of in-car disputes and traffic accidents.”\nThe company says that although the number of incidents have gone down, safety remains a risk factor.\nRisk factors\nOther big risk factors for the company include the Chinese government’s recently stepped-up antitrust crackdown on tech companies, including Didi. In its filing, Didi said that while it has completed a self-inspection and has tried to correct or improve in certain areas, it can’t be sure the government will be satisfied with that.\nThe company also said government regulators are concerned about driver income, pricing, and fairness to all platform participants, including riders and drivers. Like its biggest competitors, Didi treats its drivers as independent contractors, not employees. “Our business would be adversely affected if drivers were classified as employees, workers or quasi-employees,” Didi said in its filing.\nAs for how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected and continues to affect Didi’s business, the company said its core platform’s gross transaction value fell 4.8% in 2020 compared with 2019. In China, its mobility business’ GTV decreased 6.6% in the same period, while international GTV actually rose 11.4%. Didi cited increasing coronavirus cases in certain parts of the world as continuing risk factors.\nOther businesses\nDidi says it has the world’s largest network of electric vehicles on its platform: 1 million, including hybrids, as of the end of last year. Those EVs account for nearly 40% of the electric vehicle miles traveled in China, the company said, citing a study it commissioned. Didi has designed an EV itself, called the D1. It also says it has built China’s largest charging network, with more than 30% market share of total public charging volume in the first quarter of 2021.\nAs for autonomous vehicles, Didi says it has a team of more than 500 members working on Level 4 AVs for its fleet. The company said self-driving vehicles should help meet what it sees as increasing demand for ride-hailing services.\n“The global mobility market is expected to reach $16.4 trillion by 2040, by which time the penetration of shared mobility and electric vehicles is expected to have increased to 23.6% and 29.3%, respectively,” it said in its filing, citing research it commissioned.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":430,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":147220502,"gmtCreate":1626360169106,"gmtModify":1703758700986,"author":{"id":"3551774684771060","authorId":"3551774684771060","name":"Pah","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5b5b681f0b883231cabb977bd211dbf1","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3551774684771060","authorIdStr":"3551774684771060"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Amc ?
But rather than allow yourself to get spooked, you're better off taking action. Here are a few crucial moves to make if you're worried that May is when the stock market will finally take a major turn for the worse.\n1. Pad your emergency savings\nWhat does the amount of money you have in the bank have to do with your stock portfolio? A lot, actually. If you secure your emergency fund so you have ample cash to cover unplanned expenses, you won't have to tap your investments out of desperation. That could, in turn, prevent you from needing to liquidate stocks at a time when their value has dropped substantially.\n2. Diversify\nA diverse portfolio could help you ride out a stock market crash, so if you're heavily invested in one or two market segments right now, take the opportunity to branch out -- before things take a turn for the worse. It doesn't get much more diverse than that.\n3. Add dividend stocks to your portfolio\nCompanies that pay dividends tend to do so even when stock values are down. And that's a good way to hedge your bets. If your portfolio takes a hit, you can offset those losses with incoming dividend payments, and that's money you'll have the option to cash out and use as needed or reinvest.\n4. Stockpile some cash\nMarket crashes tend to spell opportunity, and so it's important to have cash at the ready for when stocks go on sale. While your first priority should be to shore up your emergency fund, if you're also able to divert some extra cash to your brokerage account, you'll put yourself in a great position to pounce while stocks are temporarily discounted.\nEven if you're a seasoned investor who follows the market closely, you probably won't be able to predict exactly when the stock market will crash next. While a May crash is certainly possible, it's also certainly not a given. But rather than spin your wheels trying to determine when that crash is coming, you should instead focus your energy on checking off the boxes above. That way, you'll really be ready for whatever is ahead.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":382,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":103258580,"gmtCreate":1619789846140,"gmtModify":1704272398283,"author":{"id":"3551774684771060","authorId":"3551774684771060","name":"Pah","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5b5b681f0b883231cabb977bd211dbf1","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3551774684771060","authorIdStr":"3551774684771060"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow ","listText":"Wow ","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/103258580","repostId":"2131563836","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"2131563836","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1619788078,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2131563836?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-04-30 21:07","market":"hk","language":"en","title":"LIVE MARKETS-FANG Index: Muzzled on the charts","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2131563836","media":"Reuters","summary":"* U.S. equity index futures suggest opening weakness * Europe's STOXX 600 on course for third mont","content":"

* U.S. equity index futures suggest opening weakness

* Europe's STOXX 600 on course for third month of gains

* Dollar gains; gold ~flat, crude down

* U.S. 10-Year Treasury Yield ~1.64%

April 30 - Welcome to the home for real-time coverage of markets brought to you by Reuters reporters. Not o","content":"
As more and more states legalize marjiuana, federal legalization in the U.S. seems inevitable. Not only are more states passing legislation to permit recreational use, but a vast majority of Americans also support legalization. According to a recent survey, Pew Research found that 91% of people in the U.S. believe marijuana should be legal for either medical or recreational use, with 60% in favor of both. President Joe Biden is in favor of decriminalizing marijuana, while Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is ready to push ahead with full legalization efforts even if Biden isn't completely on board just yet.

When legalization happens, there are many Canadian cannabis producers that will be ready to expand their presence south of the border.Canopy Growth(NASDAQ:CGC), soon-to-be-joinedAphria(NASDAQ:APHA)andTilray(NASDAQ:TLRY), Cronos(NASDAQ:CRON), and Aurora Cannabis(NYSE:ACB)could be some of the biggest winners if (or, when) the U.S. pot market opens up.

1. Canopy Growth

Canopy Growth has partnerships set up so that it can start working on expansion almost immediately after legalization takes place. One of the first things it would be able to do is close on its acquisition ofAcreage Holdings. Although the two companies came to an agreement in 2019, the transaction is still pending. The multistate operator has a footprint in 13 states with 29 dispensaries that are up and running. In 2020, it reported sales of $114.5 million, which rose 55% year over year. With Acreage Holdings, Canopy Growth would be ready to rival big names likeCuraleafand Trulieveright off the bat.

Plus, the company is also working with investorConstellationBrands, which owns nearly 40% of the business, to develop cannabis beverages. Tapping into Constellation's distribution network, Canopy Growth will be poised to grab even more potential market share right out of the gate. And that is why thismarijuana stockis at the top of this list -- it is easily the best positioned cannabis company in Canada to benefit from U.S. legalization.

2. Aphria and Tilray

Themerger between Aphria and Tilrayputs these two companies next on this list as together, they will have the next-best opportunities in the U.S. In November, Aphria announced the acquisition of SweetWater Brewing. And although the craft brewer does have the 420 brand, which suggests that it makes cannabis drinks, it actually uses hemp (which is legal in the U.S.) toemulatepopular cannabis strains. Legalization would pave the way for the real deal. Tilray has partnered withAnheuser-Busch Inbevsince 2018 on developing drinks for the Canadian pot market, and it will also have beverages that are ready to go.

Tilray has also been building out its position in other ways. Hemp plays a big part in its business, generating more than one-third of its revenue in 2020. In 2019, Tilray acquired Manitoba Harvest, a leading hemp business with products that are sold in thousands of retailers across the U.S. and Canada. Through its hemp operations, Tilray can leverage the existing relationships it has with retailers to potentially sell other cannabis products to them post-legalization.

3. Cronos

Cronos acquired cannabidiol (CBD) brand Lord Jones in 2019 from Redwood Holding Group. The company sells a variety of CBD-infused products, including oils and gummies. Last year, sales from the U.S. totaled $9.5 million and accounted for just 20% of its consolidated net revenue. But Cronos is definitely looking to change that. Earlier this year it partnered with actress Kristen Bell to launch a series of CBD products under its Happy Dance brand, which will be available at more than 550Ulta Beautylocations.

Like Canopy Growth, Cronos also benefits from having a partner that can accelerate its growth in the U.S. Tobacco giantAltriainvested $1.8 billion into the cannabis company in 2018. With deep pockets and wide reach across the states, Altria can help Cronos break into more markets after legalization.

4. Aurora Cannabis

Aurora doesn't have a big partner it can lean on, but the company has been making moves to take advantage of opportunities in the U.S. In May 2020, it announced entry into the U.S. market through the acquisition of Reliva, which makes CBD products. The acquisition also brought on board CEO Miguel Martin, who was previously at the helm of Reliva and has 25 years of experience in consumer packaged goods. Reliva's products are in more than 20,000 retail locations and at the time of the acquisition, it claimed to be the \"only CBD company in the three largest U.S. wholesale distributors.\"

Although Aurora doesn't specifically break out U.S.-related sales, it is safe to assume this transaction, which cost the company approximately $40 million worth of shares (potentially up to $45 million), isn't going to put the company into as promising a position as the other pot stocks on this list. Aurora closed on the transaction in May 2020, but even when including Reliva's results into its operations, it has struggled to generate meaningful growth. When legalization happens, there are many Canadian cannabis producers that will be ready to expand their presence south of the border.Canopy Growth(NASDAQ:CGC), soon-to-be-joinedAphria(NASDAQ:APHA)andTilray(NASDAQ:TLRY), Cronos(NASDAQ:CRON), and Aurora Cannabis(NYSE:ACB)could be some of the biggest winners if (or, when) the U.S. pot market opens up.IMAGE SOURCE: GETTY IMAGES.1. Canopy GrowthCanopy Growth has partnerships set up so that it can start working on expansion almost immediately after legalization takes place. With Acreage Holdings, Canopy Growth would be ready to rival big names likeCuraleafand Trulieveright off the bat.Plus, the company is also working with investorConstellationBrands, which owns nearly 40% of the business, to develop cannabis beverages. Tapping into Constellation's distribution network, Canopy Growth will be poised to grab even more potential market share right out of the gate. And that is why thismarijuana stockis at the top of this list -- it is easily the best positioned cannabis company in Canada to benefit from U.S. legalization.2. Aphria and TilrayThemerger between Aphria and Tilrayputs these two companies next on this list as together, they will have the next-best opportunities in the U.S. Tilray has partnered withAnheuser-Busch Inbevsince 2018 on developing drinks for the Canadian pot market, and it will also have beverages that are ready to go.Tilray has also been building out its position in other ways. Hemp plays a big part in its business, generating more than one-third of its revenue in 2020. In 2019, Tilray acquired Manitoba Harvest, a leading hemp business with products that are sold in thousands of retailers across the U.S. and Canada. Through its hemp operations, Tilray can leverage the existing relationships it has with retailers to potentially sell other cannabis products to them post-legalization.3. CronosCronos acquired cannabidiol (CBD) brand Lord Jones in 2019 from Redwood Holding Group. The company sells a variety of CBD-infused products, including oils and gummies. Last year, sales from the U.S. totaled $9.5 million and accounted for just 20% of its consolidated net revenue. But Cronos is definitely looking to change that. Earlier this year it partnered with actress Kristen Bell to launch a series of CBD products under its Happy Dance brand, which will be available at more than 550Ulta Beautylocations.Like Canopy Growth, Cronos also benefits from having a partner that can accelerate its growth in the U.S. Tobacco giantAltriainvested $1.8 billion into the cannabis company in 2018. With deep pockets and wide reach across the states, Altria can help Cronos break into more markets after legalization.4. Aurora CannabisAurora doesn't have a big partner it can lean on, but the company has been making moves to take advantage of opportunities in the U.S. In May 2020, it announced entry into the U.S. market through the acquisition of Reliva, which makes CBD products. The acquisition also brought on board CEO Miguel Martin, who was previously at the helm of Reliva and has 25 years of experience in consumer packaged goods. Reliva's products are in more than 20,000 retail locations and at the time of the acquisition, it claimed to be the \"only CBD company in the three largest U.S. wholesale distributors.\"Although Aurora doesn't specifically break out U.S.-related sales, it is safe to assume this transaction, which cost the company approximately $40 million worth of shares (potentially up to $45 million), isn't going to put the company into as promising a position as the other pot stocks on this list. Aurora closed on the transaction in May 2020, but even when including Reliva's results into its operations, it has struggled to generate meaningful growth. In its second-quarter earnings report, released on Feb. 11, its net revenue of 67.7 million Canadian dollars for the period ending Dec. 31, 2020 was flat from the previous period. However, investors shouldn't count the company out. Once pot is legal in the U.S., that may open the door for other potential deals for Aurora.
