great cyclical rebound is about to get underway with outsized gains expected in the quarterly profits of industrial, consumer discretionary, energy and materials companies.\nEarnings growth in the second quarter is expected to be a stunning 66%, as companies compare their results to the depressed period last year when the pandemic abruptly shut down the economy, according to Refinitiv data.\nNormally a profit leader, the technology sector this quarter, is expected to see just 32% profit growth, according to Refiniv. That compares to shockingly large estimated increases in industrial sector profits of more than 570%, and energy industry profits, up 220%. Earnings for the financial and materials sectors are expected to be up more than 100% each.\nThose huge gains and expected earnings beats should be a positive for some cyclical stocks this quarter. Earnings season kicks off Tuesday with reports fromJPMorgan Chase,Goldman Sachs,andPepsiCo.\nThis earnings season will be the period where the tug of war that’s been a factor in the stock market, between cyclical and growth trades, is due to play out very clearly in the earnings numbers. Inflationary pressures, negative for tech stock performance, are expected to help boost cyclical earnings growth in the rebound, as companies face rising input costs but also up their prices.\n“I think what you’re going to see is a very unusual kind of contradiction between the data and the narrative,” said Jonathan Golub, chief U.S. equity strategist at Credit Suisse. “What companies are going to say is they are facing shortages and rising input costs and other things which are constraints to their success. And then what you’re going to see is massive beats and the biggest portions coming from higher margins. They’re not going to try to reconcile it.”\nGolub expects companies to provide detail on rising costs and supply shortages but not as much information on how much they are raising prices or how broadly.\n“If you listen to what the CFOs are going to say, you’re going to think the earnings are terrible, but if you look at the results, they’re going to be magnificent,” he said.\nBut ultimately, it’s tech and growth that will prove to be the best performers profit-wise over the long haul. “Their own earnings revisions for themselves are still good. They’re not deteriorating. They’re solid. They’re not getting worse. They’re not accelerating in this ridiculous way. They’re on the same solid trajectory they’ve been on,” said Brian Rauscher, Fundstrat head of global portfolio strategy.\nRauscher expects the trend to revert back to tech as the better earnings performer in two quarters from now, when cyclical airline stocks or industrial stocks like Caterpillar will see earnings growth back in the single digits. “Tech will keep growing at 25%,” he said.\nHe says economic growth will have slowed to a more normalized and sustained pace. By then it will be more apparent whether inflation is temporary or not.\n“If they are unable to pass along price increases, it will hit the earnings,” he said.\nGolub points out that tech profits in last year’s second quarter actually increased by 3.3% from 2019, as cyclical earnings plunged 85% in the same period. The 2021 second quarter earnings growth estimate for tech is 34.2%, while some cyclical earnings will rebound by more than 570% just to get back to even with 2019.\n“It says one of these is a near term trade, and one of them is a long term trade,” said Golub. “Once the supply chain issues are gone, [cyclicals] are going to be unimpressive.”\nEven with the push pull of tech and growth versus cyclical trades, strategists say the earning season should be good for the stock market.\n“I think the numbers will be very good, and it’ll be supportive for markets,” said Rauscher. He said some investors may be concerned that a peak period of earnings this quarter will lead to a market decline but he doesn’t expect that to be the case.\n“Obviously, the numbers are going to be outsized because we have that weird comparison from last year. I think the important thing is going to be the return of guidance,” Rauscher said. Both he and Golub say they expect earnings to beat to the upside.\n“I think the analysts have underestimated the improvement in operating leverage,” Rauscher said.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":675,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":142458320,"gmtCreate":1626170695160,"gmtModify":1703754742351,"author":{"id":"3554846854840115","authorId":"3554846854840115","name":"skengnam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/eba5cfb5d95616701e7f824d7a5648e6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3554846854840115","authorIdStr":"3554846854840115"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/142458320","repostId":"142453410","repostType":1,"repost":{"id":142453410,"gmtCreate":1626170622726,"gmtModify":1703754740075,"author":{"id":"3514329116425907","authorId":"3514329116425907","name":"小虎AV","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/91101bd3142b32495c3131036d5f8afa","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3514329116425907","authorIdStr":"3514329116425907"},"themes":[],"title":"比爾蓋茨首談離婚差點哭了,他承認離婚是自己錯了","htmlText":"\n \n \n 據《紐約郵報》報道,比爾·蓋茨在太陽谷峯會的一次非公開問答環節上,講述了自己混亂而複雜的離婚經歷。 [眼眼]$微軟(MSFT)$","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":2,"essential":1,"paper":2,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/142453410","isVote":1,"tweetType":2,"object":{"id":"189aaa27e19240c3abf0049eee58eb66","tweetId":"142453410","videoUrl":"https://1254107296.vod2.myqcloud.com/73ba5544vodgzp1254107296/b28f18e63701925920703784734/DhSyaysAowoA.mp4","poster":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/4da3e4fd6c2649c192c3ce1f1de2e5f5"},"viewCount":0,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":679,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":158934829,"gmtCreate":1625120562761,"gmtModify":1703736555487,"author":{"id":"3554846854840115","authorId":"3554846854840115","name":"skengnam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/eba5cfb5d95616701e7f824d7a5648e6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3554846854840115","authorIdStr":"3554846854840115"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Hmmm","listText":"Hmmm","text":"Hmmm","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/158934829","repostId":"1150867568","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1150867568","pubTimestamp":1625119599,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1150867568?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-01 14:06","market":"us","language":"en","title":"These Top-Dividend Stocks Have 140 Years of Payout Raises Between Them","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1150867568","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"Because investors put a premium on stability, they've created short-hand ways to classify dividend s","content":"
Because investors put a premium on stability, they've created short-hand ways to classify dividend stocks with the longest track records for continuous raises. Amazon prepares for its annual Prime Day megasale, its reign as the biggest online retailer in the country is eye-popping: It's projected to be raking in more than 40% of the nation's e-commerce sales by the end of 2021.\nAmazon's dominance on the internet has only grown as shopping online becomes second nature for many consumers. That's exactly what has transpired over the past 13 years.\nIn 2008, e-commerce sales accounted for just 3.6% of total retail sales in the United States, according to data from eMarketer. Following gradual growth year after year, that figure skyrocketed to 14% in 2020, as the Covid pandemic fueled online spending on everything from groceries and toilet paper to spin bikes and workout clothes. E-commerce sales are predicted to account for 15.3% of total retail sales by the end of this year and jump to 23.5% by 2025, eMarketer said.\n\nFalling second to Amazon and far behind, big-box chainWalmartis predicted to take about 7% of the digital retail market this year. The two are followed byeBay,Apple,Home Depot,TargetandBest Buy, according to eMarketer.\nWalmart and Target are holding competing deals events — as they have in past years — to coincide with Amazon Prime Day 2021. Both discounters will start sales on Sunday, but Walmart's offers extend through Wednesday, while Target and Amazon end on Tuesday. Both Walmart and Target hope to reach customers who are already browsing the web on Prime Day for summer discounts.\n\nAccording toa recent research reportfromJPMorgan, Amazon is on track to overtake Walmart as the largest U.S. retailer in 2022, as it gains a greater and greater share of the total e-commerce market. Consumers' accelerated adoption of internet shopping during the Covid pandemic has also provided a lift to other areas of Amazon's business, too, JPMorgan said.\nEMarketer is forecasting that total digital sales in the U.S. on Prime Day will jump 17.3% year over year to $12.18 billion. Sales made exclusively on Amazon on Prime Day will grow 18.3% from 2020 levels, to $7.31 billion, it said.\nLast year, Amazon's typical July timing for its shopping extravaganza was postponed all the way into October because of the pandemic. Prime Day ended up marking the unofficial kick-off to the holiday shopping season.\nBack on a more normal schedule,this year's event has been moved up slightlyinto June. Experts say the company is looking to boost spending in what is normally a slower time in the retail calendar. The new timing could also prompt an earlier kickoff to back-to-school shopping.\n\"Amazon will be coy, when they announce ... and so they have the benefit of knowing what they're doing to make sure that they're in a good position,\" Rod Sides, a vice chairman of retail and distribution at Deloitte, said in an interview. \"Whereas the others are responding.\"","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":171,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":162748247,"gmtCreate":1624077607589,"gmtModify":1703828389710,"author":{"id":"3554846854840115","authorId":"3554846854840115","name":"skengnam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/eba5cfb5d95616701e7f824d7a5648e6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3554846854840115","authorIdStr":"3554846854840115"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Planet 13 Holdings Inc.(PLNHF)$its a good buy","listText":"$Planet 13 Holdings Inc.(PLNHF)$its a good buy","text":"$Planet 13 Holdings Inc.(PLNHF)$its a good buy","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/1d49eab218b9a0b702eebdd6e66fde44","width":"1080","height":"1920"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/162748247","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":101,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":162741504,"gmtCreate":1624077564408,"gmtModify":1703828387745,"author":{"id":"3554846854840115","authorId":"3554846854840115","name":"skengnam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/eba5cfb5d95616701e7f824d7a5648e6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3554846854840115","authorIdStr":"3554846854840115"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/162741504","repostId":"2144218770","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2144218770","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1624060559,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2144218770?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-19 07:55","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Ex-Tesla president sold stocks worth $247 million since June 10-SEC filing","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2144218770","media":"Reuters","summary":"BERKELEY, Calif., June 18 (Reuters) - Long-time Tesla Inc executive and president Jerome Guillen, wh","content":"
BERKELEY, Calif., June 18 (Reuters) - Long-time Tesla Inc executive and president Jerome Guillen, who left the company earlier in June, has sold an estimated $274 million worth of shares after exercising stock options since June 10, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission $(SEC.UK)$.
\n
The filing, which was submitted to the SEC on Tuesday, said that Guillen expected to sell 215,718 shares for $129 million that day, and that he offloaded another 145,289 stocks worth $89.6 million on June 14, and 90,111 stocks worth $55 million on June 10.
\n
\"It could raise some eyebrows for investors,\" Wedbush Securities analyst Daniel Ives said, adding that investors are going to watch closely to see if he sells more.
\n
Guillen, a former Mercedes engineer who was with Tesla since 2010, oversaw the company's entire vehicles business before being named president of the Tesla Heavy Trucking unit in March. Both he and Golub say they expect earnings to beat to the upside.\n“I think the analysts have underestimated the improvement in operating leverage,” Rauscher said.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":675,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":123400176,"gmtCreate":1624432329995,"gmtModify":1703836510857,"author":{"id":"3554846854840115","authorId":"3554846854840115","name":"skengnam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/eba5cfb5d95616701e7f824d7a5648e6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3554846854840115","authorIdStr":"3554846854840115"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Vaxart, Inc(VXRT)$$10 coming soon.","listText":"$Vaxart, Inc(VXRT)$$10 coming soon.","text":"$Vaxart, Inc(VXRT)$$10 coming soon.","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/248638e2ad090f241122a07d4b0c0ef6","width":"1080","height":"1920"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/123400176","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":326,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":163674727,"gmtCreate":1623885044569,"gmtModify":1703822271846,"author":{"id":"3554846854840115","authorId":"3554846854840115","name":"skengnam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/eba5cfb5d95616701e7f824d7a5648e6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3554846854840115","authorIdStr":"3554846854840115"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$BB 20210709 13.5 PUT(BB)$blackberry, you can do it. It will still need the market in general to continue its own ascent.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":195,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":164871140,"gmtCreate":1624196284980,"gmtModify":1703830466007,"author":{"id":"3554846854840115","authorId":"3554846854840115","name":"skengnam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/eba5cfb5d95616701e7f824d7a5648e6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3554846854840115","authorIdStr":"3554846854840115"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/164871140","repostId":"1140699063","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1140699063","pubTimestamp":1624020833,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1140699063?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-18 20:53","market":"us","language":"en","title":"As e-commerce sales proliferate, Amazon holds on to top online retail spot","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1140699063","media":"cnbc","summary":"As Amazon prepares for its annual Prime Day megasale, its reign as the biggest online retailer in th","content":"
\n
As Amazon prepares for its annual Prime Day megasale, its reign as the biggest online retailer in the country is eye-popping: It's projected to be raking in more than 40% of the nation's e-commerce ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n","source":"cnbc_highlight","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; That's exactly what has transpired over the past 13 years.\nIn 2008, e-commerce sales accounted for just 3.6% of total retail sales in the United States, according to data from eMarketer. Following gradual growth year after year, that figure skyrocketed to 14% in 2020, as the Covid pandemic fueled online spending on everything from groceries and toilet paper to spin bikes and workout clothes. E-commerce sales are predicted to account for 15.3% of total retail sales by the end of this year and jump to 23.5% by 2025, eMarketer said.\n\nFalling second to Amazon and far behind, big-box chainWalmartis predicted to take about 7% of the digital retail market this year. The two are followed byeBay,Apple,Home Depot,TargetandBest Buy, according to eMarketer.\nWalmart and Target are holding competing deals events — as they have in past years — to coincide with Amazon Prime Day 2021. Both discounters will start sales on Sunday, but Walmart's offers extend through Wednesday, while Target and Amazon end on Tuesday. Both Walmart and Target hope to reach customers who are already browsing the web on Prime Day for summer discounts.\n\nAccording toa recent research reportfromJPMorgan, Amazon is on track to overtake Walmart as the largest U.S. retailer in 2022, as it gains a greater and greater share of the total e-commerce market. Consumers' accelerated adoption of internet shopping during the Covid pandemic has also provided a lift to other areas of Amazon's business, too, JPMorgan said.\nEMarketer is forecasting that total digital sales in the U.S. on Prime Day will jump 17.3% year over year to $12.18 billion. Sales made exclusively on Amazon on Prime Day will grow 18.3% from 2020 levels, to $7.31 billion, it said.\nLast year, Amazon's typical July timing for its shopping extravaganza was postponed all the way into October because of the pandemic. Prime Day ended up marking the unofficial kick-off to the holiday shopping season.\nBack on a more normal schedule,this year's event has been moved up slightlyinto June. Experts say the company is looking to boost spending in what is normally a slower time in the retail calendar. The new timing could also prompt an earlier kickoff to back-to-school shopping.\n\"Amazon will be coy, when they announce ... and so they have the benefit of knowing what they're doing to make sure that they're in a good position,\" Rod Sides, a vice chairman of retail and distribution at Deloitte, said in an interview. \"Whereas the others are responding.\"","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":171,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":163200612,"gmtCreate":1623885106936,"gmtModify":1703822274129,"author":{"id":"3554846854840115","authorId":"3554846854840115","name":"skengnam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/eba5cfb5d95616701e7f824d7a5648e6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3554846854840115","authorIdStr":"3554846854840115"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Histogenics(OCGN)$joing russell 3000","listText":"$Histogenics(OCGN)$joing russell 3000","text":"$Histogenics(OCGN)$joing russell 3000","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5251b7c9cdb83516532d3108b7e4bc05","width":"1080","height":"1920"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/163200612","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":180,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
